1) Global Shutter (we might not need ND filters with this, just crank shutter and there wont be any banding) 2) 24mega pixels to allow apsc crop in 4K (possibly 6k) 3) Open gate 4) 6k 120fps 5) ai features 6) 2 more custom buttons 7) false colour 8) 32bit float intenal audio recording 9) 1080p 100fps 10bit 10) light saber attachment accessories or bat signal light for dark nights
Won't we still need to stick to the 180 shutter angle rule even with a global shutter? Also a shutter angle feature would be sick. Surprised its absent in a "cinema" camera haha
8k is just non sense. Ohh we can crop the scene bettwr. This is a nin sense arguments. We are not ahooting with arri signature primes or a milion dollars lenses to be possible to have a decent crop. We are shooting normal people full frame glass. Keep it 4k. Increase color and and dynamic range. More robust low Light
I don't think they'd do 8k given the camera is 12mp and 8k needs 35mp sensor. I would be happy with a slight noise hit on the sensor if they implemented a 4k or even 6k global shutter now that they have a production line making them.
you are literaly describing the Sony Burano 😂 i wish the FX3 II could have those features too, but honestly i doubt because it would kill their Sony Burano and also the FX6-FX9. The technology combining the IBIS with the ND filter is something never seen before, only the Sony Burano does that in the world...Im not sure the FX3 II could do that. Even they are able to add all these features for the FX3, they probably wont do it, the risk is to kill their other lines !!!
ITs a shame sony treats the A7siii like a red headed step child! Can't even import luts like the fx3 and fx30... This would make my real estate work flow so much easier
Thanks for making this, Jason. I wish I could say I'm shocked at how rude people can be in the comments, but I'm not. That seems to be the way it goes. Keep on doing you and creating the art you want to create!
Honestly the internal nd and timecode would be enough. Raw recording would be great. Also global shutter. Everything else I don’t care for since you can use external monitors. Don’t even need 8k. Keep it 4k so pixels are bigger for low light. Maybe an sdi out or some kind of locking hdmi for external recording if there isn’t internal raw which also help keep it from overheating.
An "Action Mode" like the iPhone or Gopro... if it goes from 8k to 4k crop... I bet there could be some pretty amazing stabilization. Where one could go without a gimbal and still have quality image.
I'd take 22-24mp 6k60p with better DR and high ISO, over any 33mp 8K mode. 6K is plenty for 4K stabilization/reframing. I have 8k30p in my current A1, never use it. Not sure which codec Sony could use to deliver 6K. XAVC does not seem to support 6K (even the new XAVC-H of burano jumps from 4K to 8K)
8K would be nice for me for overhead/topdown product shots if I want some extra zoom/crop in post - gonna be pretty exciting to see what Sony comes up with :) :)
this is what FX3 II needs: Same everything. Make it track with CIZ, give it ND filter, better/bigger display (blackmagic style) and 25p on H265. Thats it. they can literally use the same sensor.
i would rather pick the EL Zone for accurate stops/exposure and even repeating your controlled or non-controlled scene for pick-ups. IMO is far better than false color + GLOBAL SHUTTER
Great wishlist! For a cinema line we all know how important false color is. But I would like to see a real improvement.. Shutter angle. FX3/FX30 lines are providing for true 24p and DCI with their massive firmware. I don’t see why Sony won’t do that on their next one. Also, a great 4K and internal Raw to me is even better than having a huge 8K file (even though is good to have that extra room in post for cropping,..). But I honestly do have a wish for the next Sony… I really would like to see a new FX body with a real Super 35 sensor and 16bit Raw.
First and foremost upgrade the auto focus, because the whole point of going to an FX three is for use on a gimbal the small size versus trying to stick a full size cinema camera on a gimbal and most of the time when you’re using a gamble you’re not using it with a full on Crew so you don’t have a focus puller, so you really rely on the auto focus Second would be internal 12 bit raw recording pass that the rest I don’t care
@2100films Is this confirmed or just rumor? There's no reason for Sony to release a FX3 ii this soon considering how much of a beast the FX3 still is, especially on the newest firmware.
@@2100films definintely not coming out at least till 2025. they've extended their upgrade cycles. biggest indication is a7siii's long awaited firmware update arriving in spring. And how fx3 was not included in any recent rebate/discount campaigns by sony -- but every. single. other. camera. was.
Give us X-OCN 16bit, removable pl mount/locking e mount like the burano, open gate/ more aspect ratio, global shutter, built in nd, with ibis (I dont care if its bigger than the one what we have now, just smaller than fx6)
FX3 was a downgrade from the A7SIII for a higher price. 6k 240 slow motion, more FX line features, ZV features and oh yes a Viewfinder wait AS7 IV. 8K would push the camera properly up to first place. The latest Nikon Camera is at least the equal of A7SIII and maybe a bit better. Fingers crossed that Sony scavenges some features from its other lines to give us a new king of the hill soon.
@@JasonRobertsVideo Don't listen to him, everything you said in the video is technically plausible. Maybe the internal ND could be a stretch, because Sony in the past has said that it cannot fit both IBIS and internal ND filters, but Burano disproves that. Also RX100V, a cheap Sony vlogging camera, has an internal electronic ND filter instead of mechanical filters moving up and down in the camera, although i never used one to know its pros and cons. Also maybe on the internal RAW, only way to make it work is through compressed RAW, but RED holds a patent that makes almost all other companies legally unable to feature internal RAW recording. But surprisingly the C70 got an update with compressed RAW so who knows. For me a 6K sensor with similar readout speed as the current one would be a clear winner, allowing the FX3 to function like an FX30 at times, and also the new and improved autofocus that was introduced with the A7RV. Maybe also a better and bigger screen with a tilt + flip out mechanism like the one found again on the a7rV, and a removable viewfinder that you can purchase extra.
Thanks so much - yeah I was thinking more of an electronic ND rather than physical :) Also the a7R V screen would be cool for sure :) The extra removable viewfinder is a cool idea too :)

1) Built in ND’s like black magic did with the 6k pro
2) Global shutter
