- On 6/16/2023 Vilano Boat Ramp near Saint Augustine Florida, a family was arrested! Officers of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. While on patrol, an officer witnessed a vessel, operated by a Hispanic male. The maneuvered erratically in other boat traffic nearby, all captured on the officer's bodycam footage. As the officer was handling the BUI arrest when, a family member began interfering with the proceedings, which created a peekaboo moment for the family.

@@ralwoe Show me a video where someone passes that test. It is 100% subjective. Do you know what that means? I've seen cases were they fail the test like 99% of them, they blow 0% at the station and they are free to go but car-less the police station. Your car has been towed and impounded and you need to pay to get it out and now you have a record, you've been arrested. Nice system we have

Its legal to drink and drive a boat in Florida. Arresting those ladies was ridiculous and petty. I hope they sue
I don't drink but here's something that doesn't make sense to me.
In Florida, drinking alcohol and boating is legal! BUT, you can't be impaired!
Tell me that this isn't a trap! Think about it. You are on a boat, in Florida.
It's 130° and you have a cooler full of beer.
So, how pray tell does anyone know when enough is enough?
I'll tell you how! One single beer is too much, because it's a non-escapable trap!
1. Any alcohol at all, and you are under the influence.
2. You have been on a boat all day, does anyone know what "sea legs" are? You can't walk right with proper balance for a couple hours after getting off of a boat, so how will the rest of your motor skills work?
They should simply ban drinking and being in control of a vessel. Technically, it is already, but they won't tell you that. This is a joke. So as captain, you need to make your own law.
Anyone who chooses to have alcohol on their boat is crazy if they don't have a designated captain. Don't fall for it. You can't win! I don't know how these officers can do this in good conscious. They say it's to protect the public and crew, and I'm all for that. But they go to far, with people who are no danger. We have seen this time and again.
Wow! Everything would have been a simple situation for all until the women had to try and assert their authority! They thought they had.

People in FL should know to have a designated captain and that no other person onboard even comes close to touching controls or standing at the helm. The revenue generating water cops are good at that game. I truly think all they say about 'boater safety' or 'okay to drive' is ...lies. Just like he lied about pre-determining this guy was going to be arrested. All they want is to meet quota and generate income.

Im sorry, i’m pro law enforcement. But i think the officer acted to quickly, he should have wait a little. Yes they are adult peoples and need to have self control, yes i saw the younger lady reaction, but also is normal for people to act this way when they dont know the law or first time in this situation and get desperate. 3 arrests is ridiculous im sorry.

These tests could be the matter of life or death of a innocent boater on the water. He appears drunk to me or on something.

Christmas was wrong to arrest the women! We have freedom of speech and freedom to video police, which can not be interfering/obstruction under the Law! I hope they sue. His qualified immunity will be gone!
