Pretty cool prequel. Like others have said, I like that the dev changed things up a bit, instead of latching onto the same gameplay type. Really curious to what the sequel might be.

@@rprince418 basically, some other guy commented here that they found a snail. The joke is that people are building off that, like saying the snail told them a guy found them, etc.
I respect them for not going the easy route and merely copying the formula they invented, like tons of others have done by now, but for switching it up just a bit while still keeping the roots recognizable.

They slightly changed that Kukudo Station ending now where one of the ghost anomalies will eventually get you and suck your soul out. They've been doing minor updates by the minute.
That's good, I knew that one somewhat break the game.
I spent around 5 minutes in that area yesterday and was just stuck. Was I supposed to wait longer?
@@cleversmart0303 I think they might've fixed it. Tried it again recently and apparently I didn't die this time around. Was infinitely stuck just like when the game first came out.
Its cool to see a proper sequel to EXIT 8. Though i guess its a prequel. I love that one of the posters was of kuukiyomi. The only thing i recognized lol. The dev has real knack for these type of games. Not just spotting the anomalies but surviving them. More like a puzzle game. I like that you do get into a place like silent hill lol.
The Japanese shouting in the train at 8:12 translates to:
"Help me! Somebody! Is there anybody (there)? Hey! Excuse me! Help me!"
It is looped several times as well.

I think nobody noticed all station names are started with number (一, 二, 三, 四...)
that's why Foggy station (9th(九)) was a bad ending. 9th station is not exist.

Of all the games I expected to have a sequel, this was not it. Also, the vibes of this train feel a lot like another game I saw about a former cop with ptsd. That one had a lot more blood in the train

I mean one of the ads is a real life game called "KUUKIYOMI: Consider It" which I recognised immediatly , so perhaps yes ? Now on the other hand I'm not sure if they are sponsored or just references of japanese culture ... Eh not sure really but cool either way I guess x^) ..

Fun fact, all the stations' names include a Japanese number. As an example, Hachiban has "hachi" (八), which means eight.
When you get to the Silent Hill station its name is Kukudo, with "ku" （く／九）meaning 9.
And that's why the player is trapped in an endless loop there, where the only exit is to reset the game. Just like the game's name, there are only 8 stations. So the 9th station is something that shouldn't exist. Entering it means trapping yourself inside an anomaly.
It's also perfectly fitting, because 九、 when read as 「く」 is a homophone of 苦、"suffering" or "torment".
Very smart way of integrating a gameplay element into the in-universe world.
i love it that streamers/youtubers has the impression that this game would be similar to the 1st game, and thus act the same way and didnt expect the gameplay to different

I think the reason why Manly is so popular and beloved is because he never tries to sell you anything.
At around 4:00, when you see the white flickering girl the second time, the sign behind her where the next stop would usually display says "DO NOT LOOK AWAY".

I really love this concept, i would like to see someday a full game about this with multiple worlds, also really loved the sudden "Silent Hill" Feeling.
The guy is a genius for letting us have exit 8 and then giving the prequel with platform 8 and then giving us the hint at the end like "you can't escape the deja vu feel"

I think an interesting sequel would be somthing like 8th Avenue or the 8th Floor, where you need to wander identical city apartments or back streets in the middle of the night.
It's a pretty liminal experience and sometimes you catch glimpses of random things just happening.
And the dev is really fleshing out his environments and animations pretty well. Would love to see them try their hand at somthing bigger.
Honestly, I know this genre is basically just P.T. on repeat but somehow...I love it.

Honestly the true ending is really nice the way they tie it all together even though you can kinda tell based on just being on a train to begin with. And it's a simple, enjoyable and entertaining game.

I actually didn't know there was a sequel but it nakes sense since the protagonist is at an underground train station that they'd progress to being on the train itself
This is probably more funny to me because i live in the UK, so Prince William pops up on the news, magazines, etc, a lot more. But every time i look at that dude, he sat staring at his phone on the train. With his thinning hair, i keep thinking it's randomly Prince William just sat on public transport. 😂😂😂😂 which is hilarious in itself, a royal who dies all these charity things with lower class people, who go out and meet the public, sitting on the London underground. I bet uf anything, he's only seen actual public transport in the UK like once, and that was all for the photos. 😂😂😂
