It's great! My shed has been completed and it turned out nice looking and sturdy and it is way better than the sheds that many of my neighbors had put up. Of course, I'm pleased with the outcome and this Ryan's ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxGZedDTcDfgD7fG_uU4esfx_EgxzlY2_1 Plans was extremely useful to me as a guide.
He "paid" himself almost £40/hour. That's a ton of money he saved that he could put to other use, instead of paying someone else to do it. DIY, if you have the will to learn, improve, do is a way to make your life more wealthy and I don't necessarily mean rich in money. I would be flat broke if I had to pay someone else to fix my vehicle, or do all the fixing and building I have to do at home. Keeps the mind sharp and body fit. His work is quality and a solid investment. 👍👍👍
Your skills are absolutely fantastic! You should win an award 😊 Are you going to hook up the plumbing pipe to a water collection tank? I know you have the spring water in the greenhouse however you mentioned that at a certain time in the year the water table dries up. Just an excellent piece of work Central Victoria Australia 🇦🇺
A saying I just heard on another channel, and I have taken to saying it myself. The way you're doing it is still better than the way others are not doing it! I.e. you're out there working and building and learning, most commenters are just sitting on their arse, doing nothing at all! Keep up the good work Kris, green house looks amazing
Hey Kris, I felt compelled to reach out to you in response to some of the negative comments that you mentioned had been left in some of your recent videos. I have been a subscriber to your channel now nearing on four years. I have watched all of your videos and continue to watch every video you post. I continue to be inspired by your development as a craftsman and am always blown away by the scope of the projects that you continue to design, build and execute with precision as one man and one man alone. You have accomplished a number of significant achievements which not only inspire creativity, ingenuity and sustainability in others but also provide a free source of education to a huge following of supporters that both share your vision and support the message of sustainability that underpins the primary message of your channel. I believe I can speak for the overwhelming majority of your subscribers in saying that any negativity or criticism you find in your comments is coming from the minority of your viewers. This minority of people are obviously frustrated by their own reluctance to take on similar projects and as a result they choose to criticise rather than to provide constructive feedback or contribute positively to the community like many of your other followers do. Keep up the fantastic work, continue to inspire other likeminded people as you have done and the community will come to you as you continue educate and grow your audience over the coming years. All the best.
I just realized that for me, this channel is one of the 10 most entertaining channels on UA-cam. It is one of only two channels where I basically drop everything and watch as soon as I get the notification.
Love it, love it, love it. Looks strong and sturdy and neat and clean. Most storms take out green houses first because they are too light. But your ain't going no where. Know what would look so nice next to it? A wishing well! If no water from it, would look nice to see flowers flowing out of it. Make it out of mud cob. Maybe. You both have worked so hard, you deserve it. Thanks for sharing.
It's such a beautiful structure. People would pay a fortune to have that as a conservatory on the back of their house. Can't wait for the next phase of the workshop build.
You are so incredibly humble ... you say the average person could do this .... not! The average person would be satisfied with “good enough”, while you strive to make very unique buildings using very meticulous methods. SO impressed ❤️
“The average person could do this “ .......😂😂😂😂😂😂😂....the average person would have a winters worth of firewood ...you my friend really don’t know your worth ..absolutely fabulous build ..
I totally agree with the comment by Richard Cole... "... you my friend really don't know your worth". Outstanding Kris - I never cease to be amazed at your skills.
There's nothing over-the-top about any of your builds. They're beautiful and practical and extremely well done. Thomas Jefferson said it takes little more to build beautifully than to build plainly and results will last far longer and bring much more satisfaction. Cheers to you, Kris!
Fair play Kris, that's an absolutely incredible build. It looks clean and simple, but even if you haven't watched the series you can tell there's a lot of love and labour gone into it.
That is a piece of art that your grandchildren will be able to show off to their children and say your great grandpa built that. Thanks for sharing. Looking forward to seeing it with plants growing in it.
Never mind the critics. This is the most beautiful greenhouse I have ever seen. it's been far too long since greenhouses were made of natural materials. My grandfather's was the last one I saw, more than thirty years ago. Sodding brilliant job. Round of applause.
Hi it is an excellent work of you it is one of a kind waiting to see the plants you put in be proud of yourself man thank you for sharing it have nice day
I’ve seen a fair number of greenhouses in my time - both commercial and large scale private ones. This has to be far and away the most strongly built one I have ever seen - by a factor of 5 or 10!!! And it is aesthetically pleasing too. Thanks for taking us along for the ride.
It looks amazing. Such a beautiful design and a real stand out piece on your land. It will be super satisfying to see it in the background of your future videos full to the brim with food.
Chris, this is absolutely the most beautiful greenhouse I've ever seen. It's both amazing and a pleasure to watch you work and i look forward to following you as you develop your land further.
Excellent! I’ve really enjoyed watching you build this beautiful greenhouse. Love the wooden gutters. My favourite thing is the fact that you managed to incorporate a live spring into the greenhouse. You’re a clever, clever lad!
Kris, it looks like a glass church..just fabulous. I love the spring feed inside of it & the design. Can't wait for the plants! I learn at least one thing everytime I watch your videos. Blessings..be safe.
This is just an amazing structure, come to think of it, all of your buildings are pretty amazing. Really looking forward to the new workshop build. stay safe J.
Kris, I have been a fan for awhile. This greenhouse build has been amazing to watch. The thoughtfulness and detail that went into this was impressive. I also enjoy your calm and thorough feedback that give to the “commenters”!!! 😂 Can’t wait to watch the upper workshop build!
Chorus you are my Lord of the Rings Master builder. Watched tour videos you are so super Talented!!!! I wish I could be as talented with carpentry. Much love to you!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love how you actually take the time to respond to concerns expressed in the comments on your videos. It's bound to help some people learn something new. Very nice greenhouse too man. I've really enjoyed watching you build it and I can't wait to see what you do on the top workshop.
For reasons I shall not explain, it pees me off when creators and YT inspirers feel it necessary to expand as to why and how they have developed and built what THEY did. Stunning job Kris, I can sense the produce picked outa this just like my Gran's greenhouse..everything tasted real. ;-)
Turned out great! Looking forward to seeing it in the future when all the timber has mellowed. I definitely ended up putting thermastatically controlled ventilation in mine just because it was such a hassle to monitor the wildly fluctuating temperatures all the time, since the cats love it in the winter I just installed two cat doors (low) and three dryer vents up( high) for intake. Also I know its not in the K.H. style but I got a used commercial swinging glass door that I incorporated.
The fact that people doubt your work and methods in comments is laughable to me tbh. It's clear to anyone with half a brain that you know what you're doing, your work and videos over the past few years have proven that time and time again.
Kris you should be rightfully proud of the work you've done here. It looks amazing, and I'm sure it will continue to do so for decades to come. The craftsmanship you've shown will put you in good stead for the house build, of that I have no doubt. Well done.
Nice job on the ventilation, reminds me of some commercial nercery systems, love building the way you. Some folks research things on youtube and equate their inelegance to their ability to look things up on the internet, this is a common misconception of inexperienced folks, nice to see someone like you work things out with natural talent and what you have earned in knowledge and through doing. There are others that have incredibly low self esteem, and go about trolling channels like yours trying with futility to demonstrate how smart they are fore looking something up on the net . Or just continue to start arguments and fights, and of course there is an abundance of those that truly should never open their mouth. You channel is wonderful, thank you so much.
Thanks for adding the “waffling on” at the end! It’s actually really helpful and informative to hear your rationales and also how much things actually cost you. This helps me make informed decisions about my own builds and shows the value of sweat equity!

100% this. Kindly ignore the "know-it-all" armchair generals.
This comment was powered by a "I know nothing" armchair general.
Sounds like something Doug from SV Seeker would say
Wrong, you know craftsmanship and beauty when you see it😁
This is the best youtube series I have ever seen!

Thanks you. that was a lovely comment.
Knuckleheads exist on every YT channel I watch. Be done with them, no need to explain. Carry on brother.

A credit to you kris keep the videos coming mate watched you from the beginning love them
In my humble opinion, your videography and story telling is growing and maturing along with your craftsmanship. Really enjoying this series.
He's come a long way since 2015 :)
Well done kris most beautiful green house I have ever seen
I just realized that for me, this channel is one of the 10 most entertaining channels on UA-cam. It is one of only two channels where I basically drop everything and watch as soon as I get the notification.
Whats the other channel you drop everything to watch rennie allen? Love the stuff chris makes!
I should say kris not chris!
Yeah, Kris is up there with a few like that for me. Bad Obsession Motorsport, Acorn to Arabella and Kris Harbour :)
The other one is Missionary Bush Pilot.
@@homomorphic ah must give that a watch. Thanks 😊

Like every thing you do 1st class you are a credit to the country and to your family well done .
You are so incredibly humble ... you say the average person could do this .... not!
The average person would be satisfied with “good enough”, while you strive to make very unique buildings using very meticulous methods.
SO impressed ❤️
Excellent project Kris.
You're absolutely right.
The past is prologue.
All projects are skill builders and material is tuition.
“The average person could do this “ .......😂😂😂😂😂😂😂....the average person would have a winters worth of firewood ...you my friend really don’t know your worth ..absolutely fabulous build ..

Your videos are always entertaining. You are a true craftsman.
I really appreciated the summary at the end describing where the challenges were and how it factored in to a bigger overall plan.
That is a piece of art that your grandchildren will be able to show off to their children and say your great grandpa built that. Thanks for sharing. Looking forward to seeing it with plants growing in it.
i can't get enough of your work Kris! much love from Australia mate!
I think more people should put in the effort you do even for simple builds. Everything is definitely worth making pretty
That greenhouse is a cathederal, beautiful.
Chapel . It is a chapel
A very nice Green House. Many thanks for sharing this with us. Kind regards, and greetings from Africa.
This is stunningly beautiful. Absolutely love watching you create practical works of art. Thanks for sharing with the world.
By the time you are done your property will be worthy of a feature on Grand Designs. Simply amazing.
Yes you are so cute
Okay I’m 78 so I know
Thanks for you time teaching me something new
Fantastic greenhouse .
I look forward to all new videos. Love the progress, keep it up Kris and keep posting.

Fantastic, really enjoyed watching this project come together
A work of art! Don't forget to leave a little corner for a chair and a side table to enjoy a glass of something in your lovely plant cathedral.
Such a talented chap , great big pat on the back for you It's fabulous , and mates rates on the glass , what a touch 👊
It's beautiful, be proud of it because it is testament to your craftmanship and skill.
Stunning, like saying Michelangelo painted the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel for practice!
I don’t think you need to explain your reasons or technical decisions you work is a joy to watch and outcomes are beautiful.
Really enjoyed this series Kris, as I do all your content! Thanks for sharing it
Hi it is an excellent work of you it is one of a kind waiting to see the plants you put in be proud of yourself man thank you for sharing it have nice day

Safety sallies will always be there. It’s an amazing structure and you should be proud. Would love to do this here in Alaska

Can’t wait to watch the upper workshop build!
Hello Kris,
The Greenhouse looks good and I feel sure it will serve you and Dot well... See you on the next one...
Take care.
Paul,,
Love it, really enjoyed watching this come together, looking forward to the top workshop videos now.

😍 stunningly beautiful , well done
Imagine you build a house that is fancier than the one you live in, and then tell people it's for plants.
wtf that’s funny
that's pure love
vegan at heart.
Not vegan at all
...people wonder why I build such elaborate buildings. "Because I can." That's reason enough. Fabulous greenhouse!
Absolutely beautiful craftsmanship, really enjoying this series. Glad you seem to be on the mend with your back
It’s a little beauty! Congratulations-beautiful work.
Looks fantastic. Every time I look at it, I see the arrow formed by the doorway and triangular vent windows, and think "This End Up" :)
You're such an inspiration! I wish you a long and healthy life.
so funny watching pus in the background. be like "WTF, where dat, don't like, TOO LOUD" funny little kitty
Looking at the things you build makes my brain happy.
Kris with his dreds and Sam is cool af with the rustic groomed look (no homo)
Sam is on point.. Kris's dreds.. he'd be better with a tidier long hair look ( opinion only)
The fact that people doubt your work and methods in comments is laughable to me tbh. It's clear to anyone with half a brain that you know what you're doing, your work and videos over the past few years have proven that time and time again.
Fantastic to see the progress. Keep up the great work. Makes my weekend to follow. Thx.
It's beautiful, I could live in there......although I'd never be able to throw any stones.
Bless you and your skills at creating your dreams ❣️ You inspire us to create our own 😘
Well Kris that wooden guttering is amazing, not only a top idea, but they fit in so well with the rest of the build. Great job, thank you for sharing.
I can't get over how awesome it is to have a spring in the centre of the greenhouse. WTF.
Your build is a joy to behold, thanks for letting us be part of your journey, 🤘🤘🏴
Kris: makes a gutter from wood just butted together: doesn't leak.
Me: makes a gutter from PVC and copious amounts of caulk and it leaks like a sieve.
😂🤣😜
Love to see a true craftsman at work
A cathedral of a greenhouse! Bloody beautiful work Chris!
You wouldn't get that quality in a bought greenhouse kriss in either material or craftmanship. Superb job well done
Kris you should be rightfully proud of the work you've done here. It looks amazing, and I'm sure it will continue to do so for decades to come. The craftsmanship you've shown will put you in good stead for the house build, of that I have no doubt. Well done.
Great, an example of craftsmanship. Greetings from the Netherlands
It's absolutely beautiful!
And kudos on calmly explaining to the naysayers.
Nice job on the ventilation, reminds me of some commercial nercery systems, love building the way you. Waffle on as long as you want sir, absolutly beautiful greenhouse, it was a pleasure to watch you build it.
Dot must wake up in the morning and think she died and went to heaven with a fellow like you. Congrats Kris, absolutely fantastic work.
I will be showing her this comment for sure :D
A thing of beauty Kris. I can smell Tomato plants already . Nice one , Cheers Ade.
BRAVO Son, HELLUVA Job Kris!!! I'll say One thing about your work, It Doesn't lack for Character. Which is missing in carpentry work these days. I would Love to see your skills have a crack at a Gothic Victorian home. Great Stuff Fella!
That guy helping you is a good worker.
Fantastic Kris beautiful job. Totally understand what you’re saying about learning new skills for the house build. Carry on Lad xx
Really nice greenhouse, and why not build beautiful if you want and can. Great job
One of the things you learn growing up on a farm is that projects are never truly finished. They exist in varying states of usability and maintenance. That's a beautiful greenhouse.
You crack me up!
"This is an edge of the glass.....[rubs edge of glass roughly and repeatedly with fingers seemingly attempting to saw them off. Is unsuccessful.]... OKAY!?!"
Classic. I'm thinking people that write that stuff don't realize just how much you know about what you're doing. Your content and attention to detail is great. Keep it up.
This has been a fantastic journey, looking forward to the next project
There will always be “Nay sayers”, but truth be known they do everything by bumping their gums all day, they couldn’t do a fifth of what you’ve done. You continue to amaze me by your level of knowledge and hard work. Love watching you.
Kris, one sign of a true craftsman is the ability to incorporate "mistakes" into the final design in such a way that it looks as though it was planned that way from the beginning. Always a challenge when I'm making it up as I go along but always results in very creative and unique projects. Keep up the great work and you'll end up with a very comfortable and enjoyable self sustaining estate.
looks marvelous!! And it will work beautifully. About those flaps the automated opening windows for greenhouses they are an engineering pearl. When i moved in here 12 years ago there was an old overgrown greenhouse in the backyard. Last year the foundation finally went bad. So we took out the glass moved the aluminum frame to the front of the house and made a proper concrete foundation put up the frame bought a few new pieces of glass and the parts to put them in and it is basically as new. The automated windows both of them just works and think i gave them a bit of oil maybe twice in 12 years and they where old already back then. That to me is a amazing piece of engineering. The windows, The frame, The standardized glass parts, the wonderful simple way to change glass the pure fact that i can get new spare parts for something that old.
