Everyone else is heckling him because compared to him, they're all the underdogs and he's the man they're sticking it to since he's like a god at DO. Cub, on the other hand, is up there with etho and sees what he's dealing with, so he doesn't rib him as much. It's all for good fun though
Etho, I think you (understandably) missed a key piece of advice by Cub during the heckle run. He said "leave a pumpkin" for the wardens. When you throw an item near a warden, they are drawn to where it lands, so it's a useful technique to distract them if you have spare keys, pumpkins, berries, or even coins. I've seen him get out of jams like that.

Lol! w Which I find hilarious, aah yes it's so much less enjoyable when you can actually SEE something besides pure darkness and the occasional flickering of soul flames off in the distance... People always ignore the fact that IN GAME its no where near that dark, it has everything to do with UA-cams compression that super darkens the dark stuff and makes it impossible to see anything other than the hotbar...
You’d think that after six phases, runs would start to feel less thrilling, but that’s not the case at all. All these Decked Out videos are so entertaining in the most exciting and stressful (the good kind) way possible. From recording to editing, I can only imagine the ridiculous amount of time you invest in each episode. Thank you for all that you do, Etho. Congratulations on an amazing phase!
I think it’s partially because Tango made such an amazing game. Not only does it already have so much replay value, but he keeps updating it, AND the game gets more complex with these cards. We’re learning alongside Etho and seeing how he improves or reacts to what he learns about the workings of the game. I love it
To each their own. I find this game extremely boring to watch. Have no interest in playing it if released to the public. As much I dislike Vault Hunters that’s a lot more entertaining to watch.
There’s pros and cons to having eerie silence announce the card that is burned. The pro, like tango said, is that the player will be devastated when their swagger card is burned. However, knowing the card that won’t be played, gives the player ability to strategize off of that. As opposed to if they don’t know the player may continue to wait for a card that will never be played.
It could also lead to some legendary moment like eerie silence gets played: “oh man I hope I didn’t lose my swagger” into the game saying that swagger got lost lmao
Getting my views in, but it's a slow process, since I'm only watching a little bit at a time (snack time!). But that's great for me, since it's going to last a long time. It's UA-cam, not Twitch.
I think Etho is one of those rare UA-camrs with no haters. Every comment has the essence of some young adult letting their inner child out as they love and praise and thank Etho for his commitment to making content all these years and especially lately, despite the events of his life. Heckling runs are the best! We already love the banter between Hermits! Having it during a run with etho who's in the lead is a lot of fun! Also the everyone gets an Etho head segment with Gem killing your yet again! was great!
The Decked Out runs are great, but I really appreciate the name on that bow you used at the hour mark. If I can enchant the thing well enough, I want to have to carry _no_ arrows. Of course, Tango's game balance is a more immediate subject than that of the other, but it still occurs to me.

Iv watched etho fail the "easy" dripleaf parkour approximately 1000 times but when he comes up to it on hard (with the blocks retracted) there's no hesitation, no anxiety, no thought he just goes and sails through it proving once again how skilled he is. Amazing!!! Loving the 3 hour vids too

i love how you can tell an immediate and clear difference between the decked out episodes and pretty much all other content released on etho's channel recently purely by the length of the video
Hey Etho, try jumping in the pool of lava next to the bubble column on the 3rd level. My guess is that there's water underneath that leads to a gambling shop, similar to the first decked out, or an easter egg. There's no other clear way to get to the bottom of that column. That pool of lava is so far out of the way that it's not really a hazard. You wouldn't step in it accidentally.
I'm so excited to see etho's perspective on his first burning dark runs (and his failed attempts to get to the burning dark), I'm sure his perspective is so good

Hey Etho, talking about Speed Runner - the 8 embers would be dropped at the beginning of your run, meaning they're on that 5 minute despawn timer, so obviously the card lives up to its name meaning you gotta get to level 3 not only in less than 5 minutes but with enough time remaining for you to actually pick them up before they despawn, might not be worth it given your propensity to stick around and loot the top 3 levels + the high risk of trying to loot level 3.

Just a feeler: I love that you added higher contrast to the deep dark sections! When you were learning the map it made sense to keep viewers in the dark as well, but now that we and you know the lay out better and these HC videos are focused in this location it’s nice to be able to see more, more easily!

Heckling runs are the best! We already love the banter between Hermits! Having it during a run with etho who's in the lead is a lot of fun!

The Decked Out runs are great, but I really appreciate the name on that bow you used at the hour mark. If I can enchant the thing well enough, I want to have to carry _no_ arrows. Of course, Tango's game balance is a more immediate subject than that of the other, but it still occurs to me.
The group call heckler run was my absolute favorite- Tango joining halfway through- despairingly announcing the loss of his warden- so funny 1:09:50

let me express my feelings as simply as possible: I am rooting for the success of this video, and for the success of all decked out videos, because I am enjoying this content more than pretty much anything I have come across in literal years. Everything about this game, the dynamics with the different players, tango the conniving genius dungeon master, ESO, as the grizzled warrior, gem the rising star, cub the prolific tryhard, pearl the explorer, hypno the raging Bull, in a China shop… I love it all. Thanks for posting these longform videos, I hope they are as much success for you, as they are a joy for me.

Iv watched etho fail the "easy" dripleaf parkour approximately 1000 times but when he comes up to it on hard (with the blocks retracted) there's no hesitation, no anxiety, no thought he just goes and sails through it proving once again how skilled he is. Amazing!!! Loving the 3 hour vids too

Hey Etho, try jumping in the pool of lava next to the bubble column on the 3rd level. My guess is that there's water underneath that leads to a gambling shop, similar to the first decked out, or an easter egg. There's no other clear way to get to the bottom of that column. That pool of lava is so far out of the way that it's not really a hazard. You wouldn't step in it accidentally.

Even though I watch the tango streams and see most of these runs in Birdseye view, the darkness gives this so much replayability

Hey Etho, talking about Speed Runner - the 8 embers would be dropped at the beginning of your run, meaning they're on that 5 minute despawn timer, so obviously the card lives up to its name meaning you gotta get to level 3 not only in less than 5 minutes but with enough time remaining for you to actually pick them up before they despawn, might not be worth it given your propensity to stick around and loot the top 3 levels + the high risk of trying to loot level 3.
I think he was aware about it because he was talking about saving the keys for that at 1:46:54

Just a feeler: I love that you added higher contrast to the deep dark sections! When you were learning the map it made sense to keep viewers in the dark as well, but now that we and you know the lay out better and these HC videos are focused in this location it’s nice to be able to see more, more easily!

The quality and quantity of Etho content that we've been getting these past few months feels like a new golden age of Etho! It brings me right back to the good 'ol days of 2014 with so many unique series' going on at once and a flood of Etho content.
