Tbh I’m already in bed to get ready to sleep when he uploaded this episode I thought it’s just usual episode but guess what I think I’ll sacrifice my sleep for this. It’s already past midnight in my country rn
I was going to say. I expected it to just be because of running Wild Life and then Holiday time. NOT A NEARLY EIGHT HOUR VIDEO. He deserves some serious and unbothered rest after this.
Can we all just appreciate how Joe built a plot for everyone to be creative on, Docm77 flooded it in a blind fit of rage, and Joe just basically went "Heey, you did something creative here! Nice!" and preserved it by shaping it like one of the plots.
I wish there was a grian discord or something where you post your build or idea and grian helps on how to better it or produce it without actually building it doe you
Biggest lesson from this video: despite what he says, Grian is really good at breaking down redstone contraptions to their basic powering and product. He may not understand the wiring and what needs to happen to get the product, but he knows all needed components to get what you want at the end. Also, I'm at the Xisuma tour. This episode is keeping me sane while playing Super Mario Wonder
The World Tour, aka “Grian spending almost 8 hours telling everyone what an absolutely fantastic and amazing job they’re doing and how impressed he is by their creativity”. I love when the Hermits hype each other up, so this video is GREAT.
not only does Grian tell everyone that their bases are fantastic (which they are) he comes up with incredibly specific comments and compliments that shows appreciation for the unique ways in which every hermit approaches and plays the game, highlighting why each base/hermit is special in their own regard which is incredible considering the fact that there are nearly 30 hermits now.
@@FunkiLaughYeah, Grian’s the sneaky sweetheart. Yeah, we’ve got Skizz and Bdubs, who will keep everyone’s gifts and compliment specific aspects of a person’s build, respectively, but Grian’s the guy that swoops in, breaks all your redstone, nearly gets you into a death loop, and then on the way out goes “hey, by the way, great job on that one thing in specific that’s personal to you, you should be proud of yourself! Anyways, having fun finding your items and fixing your redstone, goodbye!” And I love that for him. 😂
@@izzytodd4242 he’s such a perfect little gremlin man, I love him. Especially because any time he does major damage, he helps clean up and fix it, except for redstone because he genuinely cannot help you there lmao
I had no scale for Joe's base until 1:09:24 and I saw the entirety of Cub's maze occupying a tiny portion of the place, and remembered watching Etho's episode in there and how huge the maze felt. Like, damn Joe. Impressive.
So this man was working on a nearly 8 hour video, the life series, and impossible minecraft at the same time along with a guess the build. You weren’t fooling us by saying you will take it slow earlier this year Grian.
6:48:30 as an explanation of what X is saying here: Copper will stop aging if the _majority_ of blocks around it are copper of a less aged stage, eg a copper block won't go from weathered to fully oxised if it's surrounded by fresh copper, it will just wait until that fresh copper reaches the same level of oxidisation before it advances. However, you can kind of trick the system by just piling fully aged copper blocks around the fresh ones, so it tips the scales in favour of the copper continuing to age rather than wait for the other fresh copper around it to keep pace. The previous method of spacing them all out in a field is correct if you're only aging a few blocks, but if you're doing it on an industrial scale and you're going to be AFKing, this method of keeping everything compact and using plenty of fully oxidised blocks to tip the scales is more efficient in the long run. Just another one of those cool technical Minecraft cheaty tactics, taking advantage of how the game works under the hood to leverage more optimisation.
(Exact details may be slightly off since it's been a few months since I learned this stuff, but I'm confident the general principle of fresh copper delaying aging is correct)
i loved the scene immediately before that where grian fails to mush scar so many times, then finally shoves scar into a better position and scar just keeps going on about the original trilogy.
putting skizz's tour right after doc's is so funny, it's like: here's someone pushing the limits of what is possible in the game, achieving feats in minecraft that astonish even people who have been playing the game for years and years. and then here is what it would be like if there was a normal person on the hermitcraft server. incredible.
It's amaze me how good host Grian is. I really admire how he could keep the conversation going and find unique characteristic of every hermits and their work. I wish be more like Grian 🥲 That's was such a enjoyable journey to join. Thank for your work.
I think the best part of this world tour is how grian CONSISTENTLY broke something in peoples bases. Like i dont even know how he managed to break these contraptions in the way he did, half the time he just used them like normal and it just broke its unbelievably funny
There's gotta be some kind of all-powerful force of the universe that's just SET on having Grian break every redstone he so much as BRUSHES past, how many years has it been and how consistently does it happen ??😭 it's hilarious
I'm only about half way through (I'm on Mumbo's bit now) but what I'm loving the most about this whole video is that Grian seems to know exactly what to say to lift up/ compliment/ help out each person. Every single interaction is so positive and you can tell that he is genuinely interested in what everyone is doing and why and it really shows! I especially love him helping Cleo with a difficult build issue and letting Skizz know that it's completely ok to take things slow and just have fun
Glad you said that, I was thinking the same thing while watching. Grian seems so complimentary, so excited for what's going on, and it seems so genuine. Loved this entire episode/tour.
I loved Grian’s signs on the last day of S9. He went to everyone’s base and left a complimentary sign nearby. And now everyone can go find them on the world download like little Easter eggs.
Thank you, Grian, for all the hard work you put into this. I watch every episode of many of the hermits (you, Mumbo, Etho, Xisuma, Gem, Impulse, Keralis, Pearl, Cleo), but, alas, I can't keep up with all of them. This video really helped me get an idea of what they've all been up to in season 10. Much love and appreciation from this 62 year old Hermitcraft fan on the northwest tip of the US.
First of all Grian telling us near the 6 hour mark that we should be touching grass is hilarious but even funnier than that is the fact that he broke almost every redstone contraption he used or even looked at.
the fact that an 8 hour tour is too short to really show everything on the server, and that was 3 months ago too, the amount of new stuff that's popped up and the amount of progress made on the stuff that's been shown in the video is insane
It's worth saying that this would've been close to an hour longer of a video if certain "unmentionables" didn't happen. The dedication Grian has in going this in depth is epic
bdubs is my #1 survival builder by a long mile, even if he still plan some things here and there in creative. he always makes the project scale doable in survival and delivers every.single.time. it's crazy
Bdubs base is a different type of beauty. Every block was precisely put down. It is very pleasing how every build complement each other. The attention to detail is crazy. It just scratched an itch in my brain I didn't know existed. You can also see how happy Bdubs is when Grian noticed the details and purpose of the builds.
ima pace myself for this episode treating each visit as its own video, bdubs was the one i went to first- imo hes the best builder on the server, everything he does is pure art and he does things i feel like no one else does and he nails it every time
That was exactly my reaction too, and to think he replicated an actual architectural schematic instead of using an image generator is BEYOND insane, I forget that not all the hermits are caught up in silly shenanigans and are genuinely some of the most brilliant minecrafters ever
Every once in a while I feel greatful to be alive to whiteness something amazing. Some of these tours really gave me that feeling. You can see so much passion and life in this series and its people. There’s just something about watching somone do something they love.
This feels like Grian's way of empowering hermits. A project to go over what everyone is doing, expressing specific compliments on each build, but also things like enabling story hermits to talk about the stories they made, pushing more dismissive hermits into talking more about their hidden builds, highlighting work that hermits may dismiss as background but have been huge time investments and then, after all that, also working the video to not have too much style overlaps right after one another. So, to the person who did this and risks undermining the work they have done, I have this to say about the video you built: 14:21 "Thank you so much for showing me around!" 18:54 "There's a lot down there that we're gonna have to go have a look" 33:26 "This is awesome! I like this!" 49:41 "It's quite an impressive build" 1:03:42 "This is madness. The scale of this... I just clocked for the first time that this is probably the biggest project on the server" 1:15:36 "And everything is really, really nicely proportioned. And I know this isn't a coincidence, this has been thought out." 1:44:56 "I like that, that's really clever" 2:12:59 "I can see why this has been the main distraction" 2:31:08 "There's so much stuff!" 2:43:58 "I don't feel like I'm doing a tour, we're just playing some games" 3:15:19 "I think this is honestly about as perfect as it gets, looking at it without any [technical] knowledge whatsoever, it genuinely looks like you couldn't cut much of this out" 3:41:03 "There's something quite nice and unique in seeing all the different [parts] and how it's all interconnected" 4:12:23 "I love what you're doing. You're taking a very different approach to everyone else" 4:21:35 "Comparison is not a great thing on the server, so that's not something to worry about" 4:47:39 "That's something that's easy to forget when you got lots and lots of builds, you can make all the buildings but not connect them up very well" 5:11:19 "You know, a lot of people have these huge industrial farms, but sometimes something like this is exactly what just one person needs" 5:42:19 "This is, heh, I'm gonna use a pun, monumental" 5:44:49 "If you made it this far [...], why are you listening to me" 6:09:44 "So, again, this extra layer of activity and immersion and bringing [builds] to life" 6:23:28 "I think you've actually achieved what you set out to do, don't dismiss your building abilities cuz I think it looks pretty good" 7:03:11 "Thanks for showing me around" 7:04:31 "People don't appreciate quite how long things like this take" 7:07:42 "Everyone's kinda got their thing, right?" 7:13:12 "I like it, you're kinda making, well finding, your own style" 7:32:57 "I really like how immersive this is, I think you've nailed it" And don't worry Grian, I took breaks ;)
Just a calm day and a couple of watch-throughs. Had the idea some part through the first watch, and could skip ahead on the second watch to quickly find what I was searching for ;)
ya know, I do like the fact that this world tour didnt happend in the end of the season. Hearing the work in process builds and future plans makes me more excited for the next following episodes 😊😊
The thing I love the most about all these tours is the way that Grian has made sure to ask questions that really highlight the inspirations, stories and design ideas behind people’s bases! It’s a small detail that people might not always pick up on, but it really shows off the love and shared creativity that the hermits have for each other and it’s quite beautiful :)
i didn't knew joe was up to THAT kind of project like damn- the dude is a madman- to be fair almost everyone in hermitcraft is its own kind of mad, i think that is one of the things that makes hermitcraft special
I really hope more Hermits take him up on filling it out with random builds they've been inspired to do, or weird projects that don't fit around. Or like if Pearl takes down the Purpur monster, she relocates it over there.
Grian to Etho: "we're not showing farms on this tour unless there's something about them you want to show off" 2:32:18 Grian, hearing about the rocket farm "haha thats so silly so quirky haha, where? :3c" loved seeing all the hard work of all the different hermits! there is never enough time in a day to watch all 27 sets of videos, so i really appreciate this snapshot!
Several hours later, this was absolutely a joy to watch. Everyone seems so proud of what they've done and happy to show off or have the little things noticed. As much as we've been seeing you guys build all this up, it was great to get that step back and really see how much has been done.
@matthewboire6843 I....yes? your point? of course the hermits are on a server and making these builds and videos for a reason. Doesn't change the fact that its nice to see them really taking pride in what they've done and being excited to share and for the future of their builds.
Grian: *Says early on that he’s going to take it slow this season* Also Grian: Here’s multiple versions of the life series, an impossible Minecraft series, a guess the build series, a few little side videos, occasional posts on my second channel, and on top of all that, not just Hermitcraft, but an almost EIGHT HOUR LONG HERMITCRAFT VIDEO!
Thank you Grian for putting together this absolute monster of a video. It just really perfectly encapsulates everything I love about your Hermitcraft series: the people in it. They're all so wonderfully passionate about their various Minecraft focuses, extraordinarily talented and creative, and most importantly, humble, kind people (of course, including you!). There are a lot of Minecraft series out there that collabs with creators, but very few that I feel appeals to both kids and adults. There's no milking drama for content. There's plenty of shenanigans, but people do it responsibly and it's never intentionally hurtful. Everything is about having a good time, inspiring each other, and freely exploring what MC has to offer with other creative people. Thanks so much to you and everyone involved for all you do!
I feel like a bunch of the hermits were motivated to finish their storage after the tour… bdubs, keralis, mumbo and joel all made mention of it during the tour and they all now have new storage systems done.
Many years ago (I think S6) I actually put in the time to watch every hermitcraft video that every hermit put out. I was still in high school and had the time. I definitely don't have that time available anymore so I've only been watching a select few every season. This season I've only watched Joel and Grian. This video has made me realize how much I actually enjoyed and miss watching some of the other hermits and made me want to go back to watching their videos. Thank you for the effort and dedication that you've put into this video, (and this channel) your love and care for the other hermits and the community comes through so strongly it's almost tangible.
Going from Scars zoo project, a mega base intended to make that train seem like a starter base, thinking that's ambitious, and then going to Joe's project... Holy Cow
For future reference, I believe you can name a banner in an anvil, place it underground near hermits bases, and right click (or shift right click something like that) the map on it and it will show that on the map. So you could have the hermits names listed where their bases are on the map. Hope that makes sense.
Something that I want to mention about Hypnos armor that makes it so impressive is the fact that all of it is the “silence” armor trim. This means that Hypno had to go through multiple Ancient Cities and get the armor trims, multiple Ancient Debris mining sessions and Diamonds for the Netherite Upgrades. That is pure dedication. Not to mention the amount of levels needed to enchant it all.
“oh yay, Grian uploaded” *looks at the length of the video* “excuse me, ALMOST 8 HOURS?” (thanks Grian for putting a lot of effort into this video, I can only imagine how long it was to edit)
This is perfect, my 5 year old loves to watch HC with me before bed, then I make up stories about the character. This should keep us going all winter break.
This video is such a warm and wholesome showcase of, not just the Hermits builds but also, their personalities. I know a lot of people, myself included, have the one or two, or maybe even three Hermits that they watch consistently. There is a level of comfort and familiarity sticking with who you know. But getting to see a small dive into so many new people's styles of builds and personalities has really made me want to branch out and check out more of the different Hermits, and I'm sure I'm not alone. Thank you Grian for this.
Well it took 2 sittings but that is quiet possibility the best hermitcraft upload I have ever seen. Make you realise the progress that took place between filming and release. Absolutely smashed this one out of the park 😊
I’m a third of the way in and can’t help but laugh at all the times Grian has accidentally broken something. It’s nice to see the other Hermits just laughing it off.
This episode released 5 hours ago, and I just realised if people are watching throw all the way through with no breaks and no skips since it released, there still not done watching Edit: this is the most comments I’ve ever had on one of my comments, thank you all!
only two hours and half in so far and just wanted to say I already absolutely LOVE this, weirdly enough there is so much information thats supposed to be basic info that I just never knew, I am currently caught up to 4 other hermits (which are ALSO magic mountain residents) and never ONCE did I ever find out impulse's base was actually a GAME. I was so shocked, and seeing all the details and information about it was lovely, I really appreciate what I've seen so far. (and since im not entirely crazy familiar with all of the hermits, this is going to be an overall lovely experience when I continue with the video)
As some who loves philosophy and psychology and just thinking about life I really love skizzleman’s segment and the way he takes these deep thoughts and put in Minecraft in these cool mini games. It has bumped skizz up on my watch list.
5:25:00 It's worth noting that Keralis very often switches between vanilla and shaders while they play. The fact that he builds so well tailoring to both astonishes me. The considerations for people who run shaders in places like the boat, nightclub, etc while maintaining an appeal for those running just vanilla is a talent.
The greatest part about Hermitcraft is that there is something for everyone. Builders? Redstone tutorials? Genuine artistic considerations? Pure goofiness and fun? Lore? It has it all. Like a great television show where every character has their own story being told.
Yup! The diversity in the hermitcraft server is something that is makes it so good as it does. Not to mention a ton of hermits have been branching out as well. Mumbo trying to do more buildings, Pearl trying redstone, and a there’s still probably bunch of others I don’t know.
5:44:58 this is probably the only instance of a video this long where I've sat through in one sitting and haven't even really noticed or felt the urge to click off. I've been thoroughly engaged throughout the whole thing, and that's impressive, especially considering I have ADHD and tend to click off quick, even if I am interested in something if I find the length daunting. The only pauses I've taken are to make dinner so I can watch it while I eat, and a quick chore to do around the house. You've absolutely smashed it out the park with this one Grian, and I'm so glad this whole project has finally come through. I'm gonna try and use this video as an opportunity to get some of my friends into hermitcraft. thank you so much for all the hard work you put into your videos, and all the hermits for the hard work they've put into theirs. All the hermit's creativity knows no bounds truly, and it's always a joy to watch.
i also have adhd and i too have sat through the entire thing with almost no distraction. grian just knows how to edit videos just right to keep the adhd brain happy i guess lol
And this is, genuinely, one of the best examples that you DON'T need insane editing with a cutaway every 5 seconds and 7 memes in one frame for a video to be engaging. Modern youtube algorithm farmer kinda sucks, but i'm glad there's some youtubers out there, especially hermits, with a simple and old school editing
I haven't finished the video yet, but beyond Grian's insane amounts of hard work making this (obviously), it's amazing how each hermit's art is so different. The creativity is off the charts! I mostly follow Grian but this has really inspired me to check out the other hermits more and just.. see how all of this crazy work got done!
I just want to thank you Grian. What a monumental task you accomplished. And in doing so you have helped us to fall in love with all of the hermits again. What an amazing group of people. The overall level of creativity, dedication and underlying skill of the hermit craft server Is overwhelming. I’m happy that you gave them all a chance to be appreciated. They deserve it.
He’s said in the past that he does most of the “editing” as he records. He has a hot key to record and does all the stopping and starting of clips as he plays so I imagine it’s faster when it comes to finally editing
"Man I'm going to do so much today" *Gets a notification* *Grian uploads* "Oh cool! Another HERMITCRAFT episode" *I realise it's 7, almost 8 hours* "Welp there goes the rest of my day!"
hes recreating a place called Bell Labs, which is famous for how much stuff it invented off of the Bell telephone monopoly. the people who worked in that building pretty well invented the computer chip, whereas before everything was using tube amps. said company, Ma Bell, was later broken up and then kinda reformed into verizon and AT&T today, along with in canada, to a company called Nortel, which was wildly stolen from by the communist party of china to create Huawei. its one of the more influential places to modern life in the world, and neither youtube nor minecraft could exist without it. joes also interested in the architecture of it, which is that it was the buggest "mirrored glass" building around. "mirrored glass" is the skyscrapers that are all window which look kinda blue but shiny? as joe mentions, its because most of what you see when you look at such a building is a reflection of the sky. its too bad that theres no navy blue blocks, because theyd work way better than blue ice
Something wonderful to learn from all the hermits is accepting complements and even being proud and say they like thier work while being humble, so hard balance to accomplish. Watched the whole video it is soooo entertaining
“I’m gonna take it slow this season” Grian says, as he proceeds to take on multiple series at once, all the fishing stuff with the underground build, and THIS
even doc cant compete with the length of this and thats how you know this video is SERIOUSLY LONG (this made me giggle and i will be watching it over the span of the next few days hopefully finishing it this year (right now its a little past 6pm on december 29th))

And also breaking their redstoner

6:48:30 as an explanation of what X is saying here:
Copper will stop aging if the _majority_ of blocks around it are copper of a less aged stage, eg a copper block won't go from weathered to fully oxised if it's surrounded by fresh copper, it will just wait until that fresh copper reaches the same level of oxidisation before it advances.
I love the whole sequence of Etho and Grian exploring Etho's base while Scar continually dies in the background

I think the best part of this world tour is how grian CONSISTENTLY broke something in peoples bases. Like i dont even know how he managed to break these contraptions in the way he did, half the time he just used them like normal and it just broke its unbelievably funny
nothing is Grian proof, and even if it is, it still isn’t safe from the weird force that Grian has that makes everything break.
Grian is a potato man after all 😂
There's gotta be some kind of all-powerful force of the universe that's just SET on having Grian break every redstone he so much as BRUSHES past, how many years has it been and how consistently does it happen ??😭 it's hilarious

I didn't do anything wrong! All I did was turn it on :( then it went poof
I thought the same thing. You said it elegantly.
First of all Grian telling us near the 6 hour mark that we should be touching grass is hilarious but even funnier than that is the fact that he broke almost every redstone contraption he used or even looked at.
except doc's haha
the fact that an 8 hour tour is too short to really show everything on the server, and that was 3 months ago too, the amount of new stuff that's popped up and the amount of progress made on the stuff that's been shown in the video is insane
It's worth saying that this would've been close to an hour longer of a video if certain "unmentionables" didn't happen. The dedication Grian has in going this in depth is epic

Grian is such a BDubs fan, every time he sees a BDubs build he just fawns over it the whole time. They’re so wholesome, I love their interactions
He actually went full on fanboy!
@GabrielRettig How could you not go full on fanboy for bdubs, he is the best
I think a lot of hermits take a lot of inspo from bdubs. I really do think he’s the best Minecraft builder.
bdubs is my #1 survival builder by a long mile, even if he still plan some things here and there in creative. he always makes the project scale doable in survival and delivers every.single.time. it's crazy
EVERYONE who's a builder is a Bdubs fan and I LIVE for it ❤❤❤
Bdubs base is a different type of beauty. Every block was precisely put down. It is very pleasing how every build complement each other. The attention to detail is crazy. It just scratched an itch in my brain I didn't know existed. You can also see how happy Bdubs is when Grian noticed the details and purpose of the builds.
I just got to this part in the video and I love their interaction and dynamic together.
ima pace myself for this episode treating each visit as its own video, bdubs was the one i went to first- imo hes the best builder on the server, everything he does is pure art and he does things i feel like no one else does and he nails it every time
There’s definitely a reason that all the other fantastic builders on Hermitcraft seem to admire Bdubs so much. He’s ridiculous.

So, to the person who did this and risks undermining the work they have done, I have this to say about the video you built:
14:21 "Thank you so much for showing me around!"
18:54 "There's a lot down there that we're gonna have to go have a look"
33:26 "This is awesome! I like this!"
49:41 "It's quite an impressive build"
1:03:42 "This is madness. The scale of this... I just clocked for the first time that this is probably the biggest project on the server"
1:15:36 "And everything is really, really nicely proportioned. And I know this isn't a coincidence, this has been thought out."
1:44:56 "I like that, that's really clever"
2:12:59 "I can see why this has been the main distraction"
2:31:08 "There's so much stuff!"
2:43:58 "I don't feel like I'm doing a tour, we're just playing some games"
3:15:19 "I think this is honestly about as perfect as it gets, looking at it without any [technical] knowledge whatsoever, it genuinely looks like you couldn't cut much of this out"
3:41:03 "There's something quite nice and unique in seeing all the different [parts] and how it's all interconnected"
4:12:23 "I love what you're doing. You're taking a very different approach to everyone else"
4:21:35 "Comparison is not a great thing on the server, so that's not something to worry about"
4:47:39 "That's something that's easy to forget when you got lots and lots of builds, you can make all the buildings but not connect them up very well"
5:11:19 "You know, a lot of people have these huge industrial farms, but sometimes something like this is exactly what just one person needs"
5:42:19 "This is, heh, I'm gonna use a pun, monumental"
5:44:49 "If you made it this far [...], why are you listening to me"
6:09:44 "So, again, this extra layer of activity and immersion and bringing [builds] to life"
6:23:28 "I think you've actually achieved what you set out to do, don't dismiss your building abilities cuz I think it looks pretty good"
7:03:11 "Thanks for showing me around"
7:04:31 "People don't appreciate quite how long things like this take"
7:07:42 "Everyone's kinda got their thing, right?"
7:13:12 "I like it, you're kinda making, well finding, your own style"
7:32:57 "I really like how immersive this is, I think you've nailed it"

There were also less hermits then these days it would have taken longer, a feat i couldn’t dream of attempting
This comment touches why communities are important.

Same my ADHD is acting wierd today
And this is, genuinely, one of the best examples that you DON'T need insane editing with a cutaway every 5 seconds and 7 memes in one frame for a video to be engaging. Modern youtube algorithm farmer kinda sucks, but i'm glad there's some youtubers out there, especially hermits, with a simple and old school editing
Same! I've had adhd forever and I have only taken two breaks so far and instantly came back
Grian, I would just like to say a HUGE thank you for your dedication, effort, and quality of content towards the Hermitcraft server and your videos❤
No one had
53:31 Grian saying the shadow under Scar's base isn't safe and Scar reassuring Grian only to be shot by a skeleton OMG 😭
Grian: Why have you made storage harder on yourself?
Mumbo: Cause it’s cool.
Never Change Mumbo. Never Change
Dude I think joehills build is so cool, it’s also really sweet because it’s not just for him it’s for everyone and I love that!
Mumbo said it will come out tomorrow
Like a month ago
lol
He knew you had hours of footage
Mumbo must edit in seconds
He made a restore piston door that edits for him
He’s said in the past that he does most of the “editing” as he records. He has a hot key to record and does all the stopping and starting of clips as he plays so I imagine it’s faster when it comes to finally editing
He is also, ya know a semi professional filmmaker and really loves editing
Oh yea
Also film makers take there time
"Man I'm going to do so much today"
*Gets a notification*
*Grian uploads*
"Oh cool! Another HERMITCRAFT episode"
*I realise it's 7, almost 8 hours*
"Welp there goes the rest of my day!"
Ys
Gotta watch it while you work!
I'm so excited to have a companion video for doing laundry (and everything else I need to do) today!
@@SilverChimera you know what that's an amazing idea
Personally, in sacrificing sleep. Sleep is for the weak. :')
Also: Worth it.
Grian: Please take a break and go outside.
Outside: pitch dark and pouring rain
Me: Yeah, no, I think I’m good here actually
Every thing about Joe's segment is the most joe thing imaginable ik the vest possible way
Yeah, I didn't even understand half the words he said but it was awesome
@iseeyou1067 had no idea what anything ment after the word Finnish but it was rad as hell
hes recreating a place called Bell Labs, which is famous for how much stuff it invented off of the Bell telephone monopoly.
the people who worked in that building pretty well invented the computer chip, whereas before everything was using tube amps.
said company, Ma Bell, was later broken up and then kinda reformed into verizon and AT&T today, along with in canada, to a company called Nortel, which was wildly stolen from by the communist party of china to create Huawei.
its one of the more influential places to modern life in the world, and neither youtube nor minecraft could exist without it.
joes also interested in the architecture of it, which is that it was the buggest "mirrored glass" building around. "mirrored glass" is the skyscrapers that are all window which look kinda blue but shiny? as joe mentions, its because most of what you see when you look at such a building is a reflection of the sky.
its too bad that theres no navy blue blocks, because theyd work way better than blue ice
1:13:07 "I actually don't have eyes, just holes"
What a terrifying image Im imagining XD
What we all expected: a lighthearted tour of the server
What we got: Grian’s insightful knowledge of art
Something wonderful to learn from all the hermits is accepting complements and even being proud and say they like thier work while being humble, so hard balance to accomplish. Watched the whole video it is soooo entertaining
As someone who doesn’t watch all the hermits, this gives such incredible and invaluable insight from so many different people it’s truly amazing.
“I’m gonna take it slow this season” Grian says, as he proceeds to take on multiple series at once, all the fishing stuff with the underground build, and THIS
I meann… if you compare the progress from this point of the season (almost a year in) to Season 6 or 7, it does seem like he’s taken it a bit slower
even doc cant compete with the length of this and thats how you know this video is SERIOUSLY LONG (this made me giggle and i will be watching it over the span of the next few days hopefully finishing it this year (right now its a little past 6pm on december 29th))
The dedication to releasing this as one single video instead of breaking it into parts is just,,, astronomical. Thankyou for all your hard work, this was an absolute joy to watch
