thanks sir cus i realised this a lil bit recently on why it misses on the layup and i realised a little bit that when i hit the back board it is like im throwing a alley oop its gonna bounce off or hit the rim the wrong way but if i put sum spin on it just right its good when i saw ur video and i was just click too see what u were talkin about i listened and as soon as you said the layup thing on spinin i was like hol up this guy speakin facts lemme listen just know u probabbly contributed to helping a future nba legend understand the fundamentals on layups and get better at it leading to him doin sum julius evring stuff or jordan switch hands in the future
Even though Ive figured out the different hand placements through experimentaion and spreading my hand, it still took me a while to figure that out cause Ive never thought about spreading my hand more till late in my years of playing ball. This is definetly the video I wouldve needed if I was still in that phase of trying to make more layups the right way.
Your video on basketball shooting techniques was informative, but I believe there's a crucial aspect that deserves more attention - the uniqueness of each individual athlete. While your personalized drills and techniques are undoubtedly valuable, it's essential to recognize that no two athletes are exactly alike in terms of physique, playing style, or even psychological factors. To maximize the effectiveness of your training methods, considering these individual differences becomes paramount. For instance, players with different body types may require slight adjustments in shooting posture or follow-through. Some athletes may excel in certain aspects of shooting but struggle with others, calling for a more nuanced approach in targeting their specific weaknesses. Moreover, psychological factors such as confidence, focus, and decision-making can significantly impact a player's shooting performance. It would be beneficial to address mental aspects in your training content, such as visualization techniques, mindfulness practices, or strategies to overcome performance anxiety. Furthermore, accounting for the developmental stage of the player is crucial. Beginners might need more fundamental and simplified drills, whereas advanced players could benefit from complex scenarios and situational drills that mimic real-game experiences. I appreciate the effort you put into sharing your insights, and by incorporating these considerations, your content could become even more valuable and adaptable to a broader audience. After all, a tailored and holistic approach to training is what truly sets apart exceptional coaching in the realm of basketball.
Bro, even tho i practice all year mastering layup.. is really hard to do in front of tall guys😢, so i need to switch up my playing style to pull ups, floaters and mid ranges just to accommodate my heigth.
Watch my other videos where I give out different drills. Work on both hands around the rim. Use other activities with your off hand to gain coordination- brush your teeth, eat cereal, etc
also god forbid that some defender i go against in the future reads this and learns my move but i havnt done this irl yet but imagine doing a veer step but one step then ur second u do a under sweep step with the ball goin on the other side and you turn around mid air and they cant block you or nun cus isnt there a rule that once u on the other side of the rim the defender cant extend there hand or sum idk all ik is there might be a rule like that but i forgot and all they can do is foul u ig just dont try this on a un official game were u gotta call fouls
