this is something I’ve severely struggled with for years. what a knowledgeable, well rounded and considerate response mA. that downward spiral of thoughts that you can’t share with anyone because no one else understand, even fellow believers. Bismillah Al-rahman Al-rahim ***OCD IS CURABLE WITHOUT THERAPY AND MEDS*** I suffered from OCD for over 9 months and had the most taunting thoughts but I have been healed. I will provide a STEP BY STEP process to overcome but YOU MUST TAKE ACTION and really perform these acts or you will find yourself dealing with OCD for a very long time. I PROMISE YOU IF YOU DO THESE 4 ACTS YOU WILL BEGIN TO HEAL WITHIN DAYS!!!!!!!!! 1. WHENEVER an evil/ tormenting thought comes to mind RECITE "SURAH AN-NAS" Surah 114 OUT LOUD, verbally reciting the Quran combats whatever negative thought is going on in your mind. You can THINK 1 million thoughts at once but only SPEAK ONE thing at a time. EVERY SINGLE TIME an unwanted thought comes to mind RECITE SURAH 113 & 114. It will be mentally exhausting at first because you will realize how often you have negative thoughts but don't be discouraged by this, you will begin to realize the thoughts will lessen WITHIN DAYS. This is also scientifically proven and it is called NEUROPLASTICITY where you are training and rewiring your brain to create new neurons. If you recite the HEALING VERSES of Allah it WILL transform your mind, these are called protection surahs for a reason, they protect you from evil and that is a promise from Allah. 2. Read Quran every single day... in the morning and at night, I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH. THE HOLY QURAN IS NOT CALLED "AL-SHIFA" FOR NO REASON (meaning the book of HEALING). IT IS A HEALING!!!!!!!!! THE WORDS WILL HEAL YOUR MIND, that is a promise from Allah. 3. PRAYER, STAY IN COMMUNICATION WITH ALLAH. NOT ONLY DURING SALAT BUT THROUGHOUT THE DAY. JUST TALK TO ALLAH OUT LOUD AND THIS WILL ALLOW YOU TO STOP THINKING NEGATIVELY. When you talk to Allah throughout the day he will put your mind, heart and soul at ease. That is a promise from Allah. 4. STAY CONSISTENT WITH THE 3 STEPS I'VE PROVIDED ABOVE. I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH. IF YOU DO THESE AND STAY CONSISTENT EVERY SINGLE DAY AND NEVER MISS NOT ONE DAY... WALLAHI, YOU WILL BEGIN TO FEEL BETTER IN A MATTER OF DAYS.. I DEALT WITH OCD FOR 9 MONTHS. I HAVE BEEN DOING THIS FOR 2 WEEKS AND I AM HEALING WALLAHI !!!!!!!!!!!!!! WITH THE HELP OF ALLAH HE IS CURING THIS MENTAL DISEASES THAT THEY SAY HAS NO CURE!!!!!!!!! OTHER TIPS DURING YOUR HEALING STAGE: Stay off social media so you can focus, try to replace listening to music, TV shows and being on your phone aimlessly to talking to Allah or reading Quran & stop researching your symptons (it will only scare you). May Allah guide you on this healing journey.
JazaakAllahu khairan Sheikh. The vídeo helped me a lot... i was having this kind of wasswass in wudhu, sometimes obligatory i had to wash some place 4 times, sometimes i was lefting my prayer to go and wash my feet or some place again for the 4th ou 5 time. I didnt undertood why it was so hard to relax my mind about simple things,... but Alhamdulillah i realize that it was wasswass then with knowledge Alhamdulillah i started ignoring everything of that wasswass Alhamdulillah iam fine. JazaakAllahu khairan Sheikh. May Allah protect us from the wasswass.
It was narrated from Ibn ‘Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that a man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and said: "I think thoughts to myself, which I would rather be burnt to a cinder than speak of them", The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: «Praise be to Allah, Who has reduced all his [the Shaytan’s] plots to mere whispers» (Abu Dawood).
So do i it’s taken over my life. I have no life now ... wish people would understand the smallest things are so so important and to be grateful because we never know when it can be taken away

For those who are curious, the hadith about the certainty of breaking the wudhu was narrated from Abbas (rA). And quite frankly a lot of the things that this uncle went through are very relevant to us today. Do yourself a favor and look into a lot of the ahadith from Abbas rA. Also rejoice! Regarding the molecules, I hope you all know that there is literally fecal molecules all over your house. It's most concentrated in the bathroom, but it reaches as far as the kitchen and bedroom. @@OmarEldasher No, you really do not get it. When someone has OCD, she does not need more and more facts. That will give her brain more to focus and ruminate over, which is the problem. The problem with OCD sufferers is that when they are triggered by a thought, they engage in compulsions. The compulsions can be physical, like touching a door handle fifty times, or they can be mental. Researching the topic can be a compulsion because the person is seeking reassurance. The point is when someone has OCD, you need to be really careful with the information you provide her. This is not a disease about common sense. You tell the person some common sense information, she will be okay for a little while, and then soon after, she will begin obsessing again...
OCD is not an easy topic most of us muslims just say it’s all in our mind but failed to address the issue ! People constantly say do salah dhikr, dhikr does work but it’s a supportive machanism Im not dismissing spirituality, that helps a lot of course you need to ask dua but my point is you have to also training be mind full The first step is to acknowledge and then understand what’s going on and then address it People who does not have any idea about these mental health topics should stay away from giving useless or unproductive advices I would advice people who say it’s just your mind to watch mufthi MENK and Dr T K Harris video
This is a fantastic video that is very much needed. We need much more videos, lectures, and awareness given by educated imams such as this video discussion by Yasir Qadhi. It would be highly recommended to also have videos given by a muslim psychologist who knows Islam very well and can incorporate it with psychological science to better help Muslims who are having ocd issues. May Allah give us all patience, knowledge and help dealing with ocd.
Wallahi I get worried and scared that these thoughts are coming from me and my mind just goes against everything I want for example if I desire something it says NO YOU DONT! Stop lying to yourself. The thoughts feel so real wallahi please make dua for me but i will never act upon this i know for sure may Allah help me Ameen
Try to fight the thought straight away ,and when it comes , think about something else calmly, plus the more u think about the thought the more it builds up like a muscle u have,if u stop thinking about it the “muscle “weakens and inshallah after u will be at ease
Bro sorry me too am suffering from horrible thought i just finished crying right now den i decided to whtch UA-cam to get some relief, May ALLAH make it easy for us.
What if you can't differenciate between doubt and certainty? I don't know if it happened in reality but to be on ' safer side' i end up repeating my wudu and salah. It is distressing😢
AA all. Someone mentioned Ali Greymond's videos on UA-cam for a resource to help with OCD. May Allah SWT help anyone who is dealing with this and grant complete shifaa!
Can anyone help me. I cant even read quran anymore or seek islamic knowledge because of excessive doubting. It makes my head hurt and i feel like i want to die. Its so bad i dont know what to do anymore, my mind tells me that i dont believe and never have but i used to have so much Taqwa and a soft Heart for Allah. OCD was triggered by waswas from shaytan and hmy mind questions everything. I dont know what to do. I pray and make dua to Allah to heal me but Then The Thoughts come again. I feel very helpess, I have many sins and many characteristics that Allah doesnt like. I want to change but How with These thoughts. Ya Allah help me 😢😢
Alhamdulillah this may be useful advice as I suffer from these OCD symptoms it affects mostly on making wudhu (also doubting if I broke it or not) now even ghusl & sometimes in salah anyways it's VERY annoying to have this problem I will try in sha Allah to follow these tips I pray Allah helps us with these problems ameen! How do I ask the sheikh a question where's the email address or link to send my questions to?? Does anyone know that?? Jazakallah khair!

Uno) I don't think you understand the purpose of my comment.
Dos) I don't think you understand the purpose of the comments section in general if you think it's a good use of your time to negate someone else's comment.
Tres) How could my comment mean I'm missing the point if I'm reiterating what he said? I'm strengthening his point.
Quattro) These issues are real and are usually tied to misunderstanding. Like a fear of the dark. But the more you know the reality the more you realize there's nothing to be worried about.
I.e.: I, myself, used to be petrified of using a luffa because I learned it sheds thousands of skin cells. So, I used to struggle because I'd instead use the bar of soap rigorously and excessively until my skin would get dry and irritated from over washing. But when I learned that we shed cells all the time- infact, we're completely new humans every 7 years, and it's better to remove those cells anyway because they're what's causing B.O., my fear went away.
Cinco) I understand that other people suffer from these compulsions for other reasons, but that's a small percentage, while primarily it's due to fear + misunderstanding.
Ses) I don't speak Spanish 🙆, aka Rick Roll.
Enjoy your weekend bro/sis, I wasn't trying to be offensive with my comment, just having some fun.
And we can’t know if it’s dry or wet so ..
@@CC-uq7cv thank you for your comment. I get it just fine. I hope your day gets better.
OCD is not an easy topic most of us muslims just say it’s all in our mind but failed to address the issue ! People constantly say do salah dhikr, dhikr does work but it’s a supportive machanism
Im not dismissing spirituality, that helps a lot of course you need to ask dua but my point is you have to also training be mind full
The first step is to acknowledge and then understand what’s going on and then address it
People who does not have any idea about these mental health topics should stay away from giving useless or unproductive advices
I would advice people who say it’s just your mind to watch mufthi MENK and Dr T K Harris video
That which is certain is not eliminated by doubt
I litrally have the worst ocd where I loose my self control and start having these crazy thoughts everyone make dua for me thats all I need.
How are you now? I hope Allah has cured you

Assalamu alaikum wrwb.
Morning and evening adhkaar and most importantly staying away from listening to music will InshaaAllah help to overcome OCD
I am suffering from OCD since 2011 till now 2020....I have felt and experienced different vicious dimensions of this mental disease....
Try to fight the thought straight away ,and when it comes , think about something else calmly, plus the more u think about the thought the more it builds up like a muscle u have,if u stop thinking about it the “muscle “weakens and inshallah after u will be at ease
@Nayeem_Imaani jazakallahu khair ❤️
Bro sorry me too am suffering from horrible thought i just finished crying right now den i decided to whtch UA-cam to get some relief, May ALLAH make it easy for us.
Zulker Naeen i from about 2008. Can we talk?

What if you can't differenciate between doubt and certainty? I don't know if it happened in reality but to be on ' safer side' i end up repeating my wudu and salah. It is distressing😢
AA all. Someone mentioned Ali Greymond's videos on UA-cam for a resource to help with OCD. May Allah SWT help anyone who is dealing with this and grant complete shifaa!
Jazakoum Allahou khayran.

Thank you Sir. May Allah bless you.

try treatment of clozapine... after 6weeks , all intrusive thought will be gone.. people with intrusive thought usually always imagine something is not in reality , have stomach illness (gerd) , not sleep enough , not exercise , if not married yet always masturbate , always be alone dont like hangout with friends ..

اليقين لا يزول بالشك

As salaamu alaykum,
Acoording tot the view (this is the view attributed to Abu Hanifa and Maturidi) that pronouncing the kalima shahadah is not a integral of imaan (but merely a proof to others to show that he is a muslim), if one falls in kufr, or in the case of a OCD sufferer whereby one repeatedly pronounces the kalima shahadah (because of having fear of fell in kufr), then;
Is it suffiencient according to this view, just to denounce the kufr in ones heart without repeating kalima shahadah ?
Was salaam.
Does anyone know how we can ask questions to Sheikh Yasir Qadhi?
@Yasir Qadhi you made a fake profile pretending to be Sheikh YQ and are obviously obsessed with Islam sitting here replying to peoples comments with information you don’t understand. Please get a life
