I'm a psychology student and I'm surprised that the measures he listed from fiqh scholars to overcome OCD, like he said no need to redo, are all exactly the same treatment that we learnt to give for OCD patients, Eg. Exposure and Response Prevention.
Truly, Islam has solution for everything. The Qur'an is the specialist in all scopes. Allahu Akbar! Indeed he's the extremely merciful and the knower of all❤

A good advice from me to myself and us is that we should read the Qur'an daily, you will find every problem's solution inshAllah. For example, I learnt from the Qur'an that the devil is most weakest enemy of us because he can't force to do what he want, so I think positive and everything goes fine alhamdulillah.

We all go through this waswasa. I was crying what if I die and come to know none of my salat was accepted.😢I cried and cried to Allah that I love you oh my Allah I do everything only to seek your pleasure please tell me if my Salah is accepted....and after a little while I was watching UA-cam and one Mufti said exactly this, how do we know our Salah is accepted by Allah? He said if Allah allows you to keep praying your Salah ie you continue your Salah everyday that means He is accepting them. I again cried because Allah answered exactly what I asked Him. Subhan Allah!!!❤

    I advise
1 Read surah Nas to protect against internal negativity and evil i.e. negative thoughts, waswas, anxiety, depression.
    2. Read Surah Falaq against external evil. i.e. evil eye, magic, waswas from society, misinformation, bad influence, whispers of shaytan etc.
    3. Read Surah Ikhlas, to affirm your faith and remember Allah is Able to Protect you and there is nothing comparable to Him.

Do i tell you something that in your advices' point 1 and 2 are those i learned from mufti ishaq.
He told that in order to grow the healthy plant, the seed needs to be healthy and that's why satan wants to spread disease inside the heart because if the heart will be diseased how can one have Iman that is accepted by a healthy heart.

Brothers and sisters listen: if you have OCD ( like i did) when it comes to prayer or ghusl or wudu etc. You DON'T have to repeat anything, just do all the things with a good intention only ONE TIME and stop. For example: you want to pray salat assr, put your intention to pray, start and finish your prayer no matter what.
If the waswas says something like : "you forgot 1 roka" or anything else you MUST respond like this: " yes, i forgot that roka , but i won't repeat anything"
Trust me, insha'Allah it's gonna be alright, in these situations you have to use your heart, not rationality, our God wants ease for us, He is the most merciful and knows your situation.
I really suffered from this disease years ago, i came at a point when i hated salat and everything. I did what i mentioned before and alhamdulillah i'm good now, i feel like i've never been in that situation, alhamdulillah
Ask Allah to grant you cure , it's gonna be alright.

    • @lailashalaby2298
      @lailashalaby2298 Рік тому +15

Also, i forgot to say that at the beginning, when you'll start to respond to the waswas like i mentioned ( you must say:"yes i forgot that specific thing, but won't repeat anything ") it's difficult, it could seems "unacceptable", but really... remember the infinite mercy of Allah, rely on that mercy and just keep that struggle.

-I have extreme OCD, i managed to beat it and here is how:
The best weapon to use against your Whispering Companion is a "Crystal Clear" understanding of the Religion, also set CLEAR boundaries to decide what to do if you have doubts for every situation, even if you misjudge don't worry as Allah {S.W.T} won't punish you for it on the day of Judgment as he knows your situation, OCD is the same as being sick, you get special excuse, any argument over that specific point is like questioning the "Merciful" attribute of Allah, so don't belittle your lord by being doubtful his "mercy", he knows your intentions, if you forgot to do something because of your Whispering Companion then remind yourself that Allah only cares about what you really intended to do, best part is that you still get the full reward.

I'm in tears in the middle of watching this episode. I've bn facing such waswasa symptom, and it hurts much yet can't really tell people what I feel inside.
I constantly question my ability, hence pull myself back from what's best for me. Can't deal with new change, afraid of traveling for imagining an accident pops up in my head, and too many stupid tiny things appears followed by another, making chain reactions.
Now, your lecture gives me powerful weapon to begin combatting doubts given by Satan. I will surely fight and won't quit anymore.

One thing that also help with useless thoughts is - Once you realise you are having or had a waswasa, do an act of charity for every waswasa you get. For e.g say salawat, or make a tasbih. Next time, for every waswasa double the good deed as in 2 tasbih for every waswasa, next time triple it and also say in your thoughts - "Ok shaitan so you are here with waswasa, next time I am going to increase the count" and do it if it happens again. Make sure during your tasbih you are loud and enjoying your voice. Once you start doing this, eventually you'd see that you are not getting these waswasa anymore.

MashaAllah brother you made me happy by making this video . I had this in severe condition. Alhamdulillah I passed it and now trying my best to engage in prayers, still its getting difficult for me to make a habit of prayer because when the time for prayer comes I start to feel tired and many times delay or leave . Hope I will get away with this too . Very important when I pray I start to get waswasa so satan tries every way . I am overcoming and praying for myself and for my muslim brothers and sisters who are going through with this and all the brothers who are going through hard times in Palestine , Uyghur ,Rohingya and brothers and sisters all around the world .

A couple days ago after I read surat al kahf on a Friday according to sunnah then suddenly out of nowhere I had the terrifying thought of how there could be more than one god and I immediately panicked and went to pray knowing it's the satan whisper and I had started completing my prayers and reading quran and leaving all the bad habits I had a few weeks ago too. I had been very anxious really of how my heart belief could have been messed with , contaminated , and that it became weaker. I was extremely worried that those dangerous thoughts that popped out of nowhere would lead me to shirk or something and the idea stayed in my brain constantly even when I was praying. I was frustrated and anxious as I had only recently did my tawbah from something until I sea your video as God's answer to my anxiety alhamdulilah. 🤲🥺😭

when this more than one god (maazaALLAH) comes to your mind..remember this ayah 'that if there were more than one god the entire system of skies and earth would have been destroyed'...this isnt literal translation but somewhat like this...and also ABU HANEFA once answered this question to a non believer that ALLAH IS ONE 1..and there is nothing beyond one...beyond 1 we get zero , meaning nothing ....so just think ONE is the dead end.

    4 categories of waswasa :
    1. Waswas that distract during worhsip.
Doubt when we are wudhu, shalat etc
    2. OCD
    3. Ugly things popped up while shalah / being in good deed
    4. Questions about faith, Allah
The gate looked solid, but we have the key, a solution from consensus of 4 scholars & many psychiatrics.
    1. Waswasa during worship
    a. Realize that this is syaitan try to mess up
    b. Learn more regarding fiqh (increase knowledge & information)
    c. Dont feed the anxiety. Human might forgot, we're not intended to do bad things
    2. OCD
    Leave it.
Stop the obsession, the more you care the more you disturbed.
By repeatedly doing something unnecessary syaitan try to waste our time, thought, and resource.
This is waswasa, not our thought, our heart not pleased with these words.
