I got to say I do appreciate the variety in the channel now that we alternate paid ski questions interviews and live performances. The channel is evolving and gets better every week. We all owe a bit of gratitude to all the horval brothers for their hard work and dedication to the metal scene.

So I'm surprised the original photographer/artist for Pungent Stenches & Devourment's first few album covers (For God Your Soul, Been Caught Buttering & Molesting The Decapitated) never gets his actual name mentioned or talked about. His name is JOEL PETER-WITKIN, check his art out, he's an American photographer that did most of his work and lived in New Mexico in the 70s & 80s, and yes, most of his subjects were cadavers and a lot of extreme BDSM models not unlike Robert Maplethorpe for his extreme portraits at that time period, in fact all of the original CD inlay booklet photos of Devourment's Molesting the Decapitated are his photos, he has published a few art house photo books that are hard to find. When I first bought my copy of the 'Molesting The Decapitated' CD a week before it's official release from Hound himself who owns Corpsegristle records out here in Dallas TX in 1999, I saw the cover art and was blown away! Hound told me that it was a stolen crime photo that was used for the cover photo, but years later in 2005 I worked at a bookstore in ABQ NM and stumbled upon one of Joel Peter-Witkin's art books and found all of Pungent's and Devourment's photo art in there. Definitely intense stuff!
Wow, I never made that connection, I remember one of his books making the rounds in my photography class in the 80s. I also saw a Witkin book in the great Japanese movie Evil Dead Trap.

He’s said many times that performing live is basically his life blood. He must be in really bad shape. His health has been on a major decline over the last few years Reminds of some famous lifeguard that was deaf but had razor sharp vision and swam for miles every day cuz he loved the ocean and swimming. Near the end of his life he developed some illness which prevented him from swimming and he died just a couple weeks later.
That’s how I want to go out tho. Do what I love until my body says no, then I’ll just lay down and take my eternal rest.

Love Pungent Stench. We used to have a fan page back in the zeroes and were invited backstage at a concert 2006 here in Augsburg. Nice guys. Adore their releases. All of them, but mostly Club Mondo Bizarre. Good to see Martin.

In the beginning of the nineties, pungent stench played live quite regularly with ATROCITY, MASTER, ENTOMBED, DISHARMONIC ORCHESTRA, ABOMINATION and CARCASS.

Martin is a f'ing legend. I bought the first PS album as well as Disharmonic Orchestra when they came out and still to this day nothing sounds like them. The cover of the 2nd album is cool but someone needs to put out Dirty Rhymes (full cover) on a T-Shirt !

When Butchered released I preferred it, and for a couple of decades, it was my favorite CC album. Now in my 50s I definitely prefer Eaten. The trashiness is actually what makes it better, less monotonous, more catchy, more hook. I went full circle in my musical taste and landed on a hybrid of thrash, deathmetal and grindcore all mixed into one sound I call Thrashing Deathgrind aka (from Ghoul) Splatter Thrash.
Love the interview. The "Wiener Schmäh" even comes through in english! A gay ❤ for the dawg for making a good job.

@dante666jt Hey mang, I started listening to this band as a young teen in the early 90's, there is no Pungent Stench without Martin. He's been the guitarist & vocalist from the very beginning, and a song writer. I'm sure Wank may have came up w the name maybe & alot of the concepts, but these guys are both founding members.
Ok, so this guy is an original guy from the band, but who the hell knows who he is? I don't get the obsession with only interviewing these grandpas, besides getting your stuff signed. If there weren't non-original members willing to do it these bands would have ceased to exist 30 years ago. Justin is an opportunist only interested in increasing his fame by rubbing shoulders with 'famous' people - aka, he is a textbook poseur.

Two of the three members of the current band (Martin and Jacek) are founding/original/classic members. Alex the drummer is the only founding/classic/original member no longer there and the current drummer has been in the band for over a decade now, since 2013.
