Get yourself a torch, air hammer and the schwaben pinch bolt remover attachment. The pinch bolt is the biggest pain. Your also going to have to lower front subframe a little to remove front lower rear control arm.
That's perfect. I'm in the stages of getting all the supplies I will need so I will add those tools to the list! Thank you so much for the suggestion and the support!
@@damionblazer7139 that's another good idea. I will do that early as well. The rear sway bar bolts weren't very stuck at all so hopefully I get lucky with the rest of the car too
I'm almost done catching up on everything you've done to this B5 and can I just say amazing job. I love this series, the content, and how informative it can be for others trying to build these cars. Super siked to see how far you take this build!
I am so excited to hear you have been enjoying the build! I've got a ton of plans for the car and it makes me happy to hear you are looking forward to them. Thank you for the support!
On perfection: I used to be haunted by this irrational need. Now, I regard any vehicles I have as prototypes. It gives me the freedom to be always learning.
That is a brilliant mindset! I love that you describe them as prototypes as well. I may have to start calling them that as well haha. Thank you for the advice and the support!
Thank you so much! Yes, I can totally show the features of the radio in the next S4 episode for you. I'll be upgrading a few blown speakers so it will be a perfect time to do it. It makes me happy you're so stoked on the build!
Have you, or any of y'all in the comment section, had any issues with K wire connectivity between the ECU and the OBD port after installation of an aftermarket head unit? I like the aftermarket head unit and want to try something similar. Great channel, I appreciate the content. Thanks in advance.
I really like it! You can always spend a lot on head units to get something that has everything but I think this one is fantastic for the price. It hasn't failed me yet.
My new favorite channel 💗

You narrate your videos so well. I've always had a soft spot for the B5 chassis, and it's awesome to see you spending the time to keep this one alive.

I'm learning so much through your videos, and excellent narration ability. Thank you!! Love it!

I am an OEM guy. These upgrades actually look great. Very nicely done. I hope my B5 looks this good someday
Converted my mk1 to double din a while ago, absolutely the best mod ever, CarPlay in an old car is just amazing 😁
I completely agree! Being able to pick your own music is such a major upgrade to any car. Thank you for the support!
It's coming together nicely and looking forward to seeing what else you do!
I am stoked to hear you like the project so far! Thank you for the support!

Thank you so much! I am glad you are enjoying the build so far!
Nice job! The plastic front panel that you chose to put in looks nice. Do you have a link for it? And also for the radio?
What wrap did you buy, how much did you buy, where did you buy it and how much did you pay? It looks awesome 👍🏻
So after 3 months of use, what do you think of that head unit? I need one for my 01 Allroad.

It hasn't gone anywhere haha. I try to alternate between the cars for videos, so the last one was a TT episode. Thanks for the support!
Looking forward to engine build and upgraded turbos and more
I am glad you are liking the build so far! I am also looking forward to getting to the turbo/power stages of the build. Thank you for the support!
Looks great me like
DM me if you need any tips or tricks with this audio system. Just completely did my 2000 S4 with OEM plus set up. Couldn't be happier with the outcome
I think I will take you up on that! I am curious what setup you have. What's the best way I can contact you about it? Instagram?
Get a D2 A8/S8 amp. Direct swap and sounds Waaaaaay better.
I will definitely look into that more. That sounds like it could be a great upgrade! Thank you for the advice!
@@HunterDirection I can send you all the info and documentation you need.
