I have been in awe of Nicke's drum parts ever since I first bought "Clandestine" back in 1991. To be honest, I always suspected that there was bit of studio-trickery involved in the recording of the drums, but here he is, 25 years later, absolutely NAILING every single fill. His playing on this album is so inventive and technical, while also being so catchy and groovy! For me, it makes up a big part of what makes "Clandestine" such a stand-alone classic in the genre.
For someone who's not that much into this music is to see the guitarist and vocalist of one of my favourite rock bands play drums for opne of the most influential and fucking bad ass death metal bands out there sows that Nicke is an extremely talented and versatile musician beyond what most people would believe (if im not mistaken he also has the original vocals on this entire album).
@@TomMusick If you hear Alex Hellids out of tune and wrongfully played solos id hit my self in the face any day :) Just listen to his solo... its awful !! And still you can see him really concentrating on it :) Amateur
Det måste vara någon form av bokstavskombination när man lirar så jävla fett på trummorna! Så jävla avis på Mr Andersson. Plattan hade varit skit och ingenting utan Nicke!
listening this band for god knows so long. so glad to see nicke back. i just hope they release at least one new record with nicke before calling it quits. also this sounded amazing like, so i know they have it em.
Drums and guitars is original line up, so it's: Nicke Andersson on drums and Alex Helid & Uffe Cederlund on guitars. On vocals it's Robert Anderson (from Morbus Chron) and on bass it's Edvin Aftonfalk (also from Morbus Chron)
A bunch of "quitters" who are integral to the sound of the band, Nicke's drumming, Uffe's specific chainsaw sound and Alex's sagging DS-1 driven sound are what makes the Entombed sound. Not just vocals.
The whole of Clandestine is Nicke's doing. With all due respect to L.G. Petrov, it is obvious that Nicke, Ulf and Alex are much more vital to Entombed. They are responsible for most of the music and the overall sound of the band...
@@etienneblais5915 In part yes, but at the same time all three of them lost interest in Death Metal early on. Uffe even said he had no interest in it and didn't want to be associated with the death metal scene. He said the only death metal band he listens to is Autopsy. L.G. was the one trying to keep it real the whole time.
@@Gregbaltzer I have all the respect in the world for Petrov and I know how important he is to Entombed, he's literally the mascot of the band, so I agree with you on this. My comment was made in the context of someone commenting "no Petrov, no entombed" on a track he didn't even play on, recorded at a period where he wasn't even in the band. It's all good I'm not trying to correct anyone, it just seemed like a strange place to make this statement about Petrov.
You sir, may have Dain Bramage. It's ok though, it's why we have doctors. PSA: It's a Concert Hall performance for 25 years to the day that doesn't require a mosh pit. Also; ever seen Japan when they attend metal gigs? -> meshuggah -bleed (japan) ua-cam.com/video/obcDrjPblxs/v-deo.html

True story. He is a natural talent not only on drums.
What is wrong with the Crowd ? One of the best Death Metal Song ever and they stand still like Stone Figures
...it´s in Sweden, that is what is wrong with them ;-)
best regards from Denmark :-)
It's a seated concert.
nothing wrong with that at all, i'd prefer watching a band play over getting elbowed in the face any day.

jeezz, guys get over your issues and meet up. My guess, one crate of beer per person will do miracles!
This band should only play Clandestine(+3-4 songs from Wolverine), and for any other albums use a different band name.
It's not the same without LG Petrov, I'm sorry but is the true
This guys sounds like Nicke. Awesome!

It was that kind of venue. They had an orchestra playing before this

Great entombed cover band
3 out of 4 original members...doesn't seem very 'cover band'.
