Just a tip for moving across country, send a package of necessities (toilet paper, paper towels, plastic cups, towels, bed sheets, air mattress, baby food, cleaning spray, etc.) to your new house before you leave so when you get there you’ll have basic stuff before your moving truck gets there and you won’t have to re-buy it. Good luck with your move!

Loving watching these de clutter videos though! I’ve just started decluttering my life since having a toddler. I was sick of being consumed by “stuff” and want to spend less time cleaning and worrying about material items and more time with my family ❤️

Loving these videos Elle, I love that your content is reflecting whats going on in your life. Much more relatable than the late 20 year olds still doing teenager content.
Just in case you didn't think of it, if those measuring cups were used for hair dyeing chemicals you might want to rethink moving them back to the kitchen, I guess that depends on what kind of plastic or other material it is but I think all plastic is technically porous. Love your declutters! I hope you will show us some of the decorating or organizing process when you get into your new house!

pour the shower gel with your face on it into a different container and wash the bottle out to keep. that way you can use the product and also keep the bottle. or just take a nice picture and then use it up

The one thing that shook me up was that it said the shaving cream from Gillette was $14.00??!! It’s like $3 from Walmart or target, why did you pay $14 omg

I've done a couple of cross country moves. Decluttering for them is haaard! but it does make you realise how much stuff you do and don't need. I think the longest I've lived in one place since I left home is 3 years (in two different houses!)

OMG! I just got rid of my hot roller set a few weeks ago! I had mine for so long without using it, I moved 5 times without using it. I kept it for nostalgia from high school and cheerleading 😂 so relatable

you can replace the clips on hot tools curling irons! a lot of their irons even come with the parts to do it.
Throw away those measuring cups (bc chemicals), xo xo omgsh get cute awesome ones too when you move, because ya measuring cup game in the kitchen!
Now I want to go clean 🧼😂👏🏻

My hot tools curling iron is the same way- clamp is too loose. I thought I had a lemon too but maybe that’s just how they are??

I feel like you could just transfer your favorite products in strange bottles to more travel friendly bottles and label them... but it is good to be strict and super declutter when moving!

Professional organizers often suggest taking a photo of nostalgic items. There’s no need to keep the actual item.
I did the same thing with the sleep styler and ended up returning it! They do not work well at all!

elle get the kiss impress press on nails in the short length. They are perfect! Still use the nail glue with them though even though they are press ons

I usually bring them to local swaps. Otherwise do you have local Facebook groups where members give stuff away to others? I remember when I was a student I used to love getting samples/products from other women

So many hair ties. Get a couple of great hair clips istead. They are in again. I love Zhooch hair clips claws from Amazon. They last until you lose them. No wobbly springs. Love Zhooch!
