I was so fortunate to ride in that truck with Gary and do a photo feature on it. The billet beams from SI Motorsports are pure art. Most people miss that the cab is fabricated, not from Ford. So many talented people have touched this truck.
What do you mean it's not a Ford cab? I can see all the original stamped steel, doors, handles, etc.. it's definitely a Ford cab, that's been heavily modified.

First real prerunner I ever saw in person at the 2002 MDR 200, such a gorgeous truck. Are those SI beams and arms? Those look the same as that SI truck I believe it's who built them.
Yes they are. Custom built billet beams and radius arms
I also believe at the time I saw it in August of 2002 it was owned by the owner of GT bicycle fame Gary Turners son who raced that Fabtech sponsored 7open truck. It was Blue when I saw it and was an extra cab at this time.

Actually this was owned by a cartel after RG, then bought by Gary Turner and brought back into the US. In the late 90’s. After that I don’t recall the history. Glad to see it’s back in the original color, white, used to be blue.
I realize these are built for Baja, but how are they as a daily driver on road?
Simple, effective and made to last… nothing disposable on this truck, wish I could make my Ranger a 3 seater 🤔

I agree I can only watch the morgan or Roy btd episodes… Evan and James just don’t have the knowledge they should have by now to be doing them! But atleast they still help the prerunner community so can’t hate on them overall

My Ranger has rubber flooring instead of carpet , if it gets dirty enough to bother me I can just take a hose and clean it .

Without this “cringey” guy this truck would have probably been cut up and destroyed like so many of the others have. Most of the Walker Evans Rams have been cut and changed so much that they retain none of the vintage cool shit that earned them their pedigree anymore. I don’t get why people buy a vintage piece and butcher it. I guess it just to brag that they have what’s left over from a “fill in the blank owned truck.”
