I think I would call that more of a “deep cleaning“ than a “restoration”.
ギターへの愛が感じとらえました。ねじをちゃんと緩む方向に一、二度回し締め込む。当たり前のことですが、ネジ山を残す、なめまい、小さいことですが、手を抜かない素晴らしい仕事と思います。
今回も素晴らしいお仕事ご苦労様です。
天然エイジドもいいですが ここまでピカピカだと気持ちいいですね♪
ギターもオーナーも喜ばれてると思います！

This cuts the surface of the fret a little.
Polishing alone will not give you a mirror finish.

How did Gibson let that guitar leave the factory without buffing out all the "orange peel" in the finish.

@@davidemura4444 Not everyone likes dirty and aged Les Paul's, especially from 1998. If it were an older LP then maybe I would leave it alone.
(Checking the back of the headstock I'd say that's an R8-9-0 or something so there's that, but still) I am going to need a couple minutes to process the fact.
The rust on the parts is certainly beautiful.
However, in some cases, it is better to restore the parts in order to protect the parts and preserve the parts.
It's the owner's preference.

金属パーツ系はピカールで磨かれた後、ワックスなどは使われていますか？
一応使っています。
ただ、効果を感じられるかというと…
ガラスコートも良いんでしょうが、コストがかかるので…って所ですね。言ってくだされば行いますが。
すみませんミスでコメントを消去してしまいました。
ピカールなどのメタルコンパウンドで磨きすぎるとメッキが剥げてしまう事もありますので、ご自分でメッキを磨かれる様でしたらやはり、ガラスコートがおすすめです。
ピカールはメッキ磨きを推奨していませんので、こまめに磨くのはおすすめできません。
ボディは、塗装用コンパウンドで磨いているというより、表面に着いた汚れを落とすイメージで使っています。多少塗装面を研磨して、面を出すイメージもあります。

レスポールのヒストリックコレクションは、2003年頃に、ブラジリアン・ローズウッド指板が限定で出てから、1990年代のものと大きく変貌を遂げていったんだよなあ....。1990年代のは中古で市場に出ても高く売れない。俺のも同じ。(^^♪
I would have cleaned the tuners out at the very most all that patina was cool on that guitar..
Cleaned it then added 2000 dollars to the price

時折ピントが違うところに合っていて見づらい事があります。
F値をもう少し絞って撮るといいかもしれません。
内容はいつも素晴らしく毎回楽しみにしています。これからも応援しています。
ピント見づらいですよね。作業中にカメラを見づらいと言うのも要因では有るのですが、いっぱいぼかしたいと言うのもあって…でももう少し絞ってもいいかもしれませんね。

You call that a restoration? For real that was nothing more than a glorified setup. Nice looking guitar though.
Definitely not the same humbucker covers..probably not the same tuners.
