- We are building our new custom +2 swingarm forourTRX450R project. This will be part 1 of 2. I explain how we made our jig and the purpose of it also. This is the first time i have tried building a swingarm and only went this route because everywhere I called didn't want to build one to our specs. Thanks for watching and like and subscribe to see the swingarm fully finished and powder coated.

I been waiting on this too, the work you do is just another level of build
Thanks, I'm trying. Second half coming soon. I actually have it done but split it into 2 videos.
BEEN WAITING ON THIS!!!!
Part 2 should be up next weekend, you know a lot going on behind the scenes.
Man you just gave up a huge secret for all the drag frame builders out there. Love how you did the jig And the design of the swingarm turned out great! How did you make the coping tool? And where on earth did you find those shock tabs? Keep it up man. You did a good job
Thanks a lot man. The coping tool was a bunch of tig filler rods cut down and wrapped around a sleeve to fit over my tubing. As for the mounting tabs, look up stock car chassis tabs and you can find about any configuration your looking for and bolt size.
Cool tool you made what kind of still do you use to make swingarm
I used chromoly steel tube.
You can make cool A arms now
I'd like to make a left and right a arm fixture to do that. I need to buy a pipe bender though.
So when is the swingarm jig kits coming up for sale working on one but mine was a different design I like yours haha
Lol, I'm here for inspiration only. I thought a long time about how to make a universal jig this is just what I ended up with.
@@SeanMooreFilms deff awsome design you must be a machinist looks killer haha also do you make your own carrier housing and pivot mounts ive only been able to find one place online that sells em bare not much selection haha
Yeah I work at a cnc machine shop, I'm just maintenance manager so mostly fix the cnc's but also run some machines during personal time. I made every part except the shock tabs, I got lazy and bought those. The carriers I looked at were almost all made for banshee and the yrs is more narrow. I'm sure we looked at the same place.
@@SeanMooreFilms ya exactly im a honda guy to and same bout as you race mx and would like to be able to test some different setups haha good work man putting good vids out!
Thanks, it's appreciated. I plan to have the 2nd half out this weekend. Fully finished now. Curious what the Honda guys will think of this build when finished.
Where about did you get your metal? I’m looking at building one myself for my ltz… to buy one is SOOOO dang expensive!
I actually bought the steel for the swingarm off eBay, that was the cheapest to get a small quantity of pipe. Fixture steel was all scrap from my job.
@@SeanMooreFilms ok. Thanks!
@@danielbuchanan959 no problem
What did you use to build the carrier?
Round tube that I bored to size and then milled it across to cut it open.
@SeanMooreFilms I wish you would have shown that process. I appreciate the time you put into showing this build. Great job.
Are you reserved for the 250r tour in Oklahoma this year. I'd like to look at this thing. 👍
@@williamslatton2274 yessir, we will be at walking hills 550 again this year
@williamslatton2274 I would of shown how I did that but I wasn't sure it was going to work out and didn't record any of it.
