3:35 -when you didn't know she did that kind of trick. Finally.! Someone that shows the intake vales on this job. I was wondering about them before I do this job. Have you done any CRC type cleaner on them?? I've found twice a pool of oil under the throttle body. I'm thinking about putting in a cheap oil catch can. I have the 2013 Explorer, non Ecoboost.
I don't think its a good idea using CRC on the valves, that could cause issues with the O2 sensors. mine were pretty clean so I Slammed it back together and never had a issue. And I don't recall seeing any oil under the throttle body.
Looks pretty much identical to my 13 ford edge sport. Just got some plugs and a pcv to do this same job. Is the plastic elbow on top of the pcv not replaceable as in you can't buy just that piece? Thx for sharing!
The PCV is on the rear valve cover under the intake. I'm not sure if you can buy the elbow. I replaced the PCV valve even though nothing was wrong with the original one. I bought a Ford PCV. Didn't want to redo this because of a failed after market PCV.
@@InTheGarge great info, so you have no problem taking the elbow off the old pcv and installing it onto the new pcv? I saw a couple vids where it was pretty locked onto the old pcv. Thx

Thanks,very helpful.
You're welcome!
Might want to cover the throttle body intake before blowing crap around
I never take the clips of the coils, might risk breaking the clip. There is enough wire lenght to pull them out.
Thank for the tip! hopefully I wont have to do this again. :)
What is the measurement of the boogie cap gap? Ford Mountaineer 2007
sorry I don't have that info.
