drmorq I agree with the first part of your comment, but the part about Foster ruining them is stupid and ignorant. The millions of records sold and the legacy of those records will live much longer than you and I will.
TruthHurts58 Say what you want, but Foster and his syrup keeps Chicago out of the hall of shame. Before Foster Chicago was a rock band with horns. After Foster they are air supply with horns, sometimes... They lost their fire after Terry Kath and Foster took that and turned it into a hit machine. Made lots of money but art isnt about money. Commerce is. Profit is not the great measure of art.
Larry nailed that vocal-- awesome quality vocal!!! Loved this rendition! I never really like all of Champlin's excessive vocal embellishments at the ends of phrases in concert, but he managed to hold that back just enough here to not take it ludicrously over the top!
Best version I've heard of this song since Bill and Peter were singing it together. Great job, Danny! Chicago hasn't sounded this good vocally on any song in decades. Sad, because the music DESERVES to be sung like this. Here's to Peter and the boys finally burying the hatchet and all of you giving us fans the thrill of a lifetime with a "One Night Only" concert and DVD.
It's the best live style in recent years but I do prefer Peter especially, just older Chicago. This does not mean that these guys aren't incredible, what a great take on a beautiful song.
Singing just doesn't get any better than that!!! Braggs is a monster who outshines 90% of today's pop and R&B headliners. I couldn't grasp him in this band but this performance is outstanding. Bravo!!!! Oh and the band sounds great too.
Rain GRO After years of hearing Larry in the quintessential R&B/Funk band to the pop of Chicago just felt like it wasn't the best fit, but I was wrong and I admit it.
Damn, another good version of this track! The original is good... and so is this one. I can hear the passion as drive. Yes!!! Always loved this song. 👍🇺🇸
Everytime I hear Bill Champlin my respect for him grows even more. When we talk about Chicago its mostly Peter Cetera that comes first to mind but Bill for me is the backbone. Such a great talent from Chicago and Airplay and most of his works with Jay Graydon and in the AOR music scene. A true innovator of one of the greatest genre in music.
No disrespect to the singer, he's really good. But this song needs more Jason Scheff or Peter Cetera. Champlin and Danny are great as always. PLEASE bring Jason Scheff into CTA. It will be the most accurate version of 'Chicago' going today.
Larry Braggs former lead singer of Tower Of Power listen to him singing Dont change Horses In The Middle Of A Stream and To Say The Least youre The most... live in leverkusen
Have watched this a billion times. My favorite Chicago song, though it's tough. Seraphine. What a beast
Please share with all your friends, enemies and ex-lovers! peace Danny
Danny....
This is better than ANY Chicago version. Sad to say that. But..... it was Foster that ruined you guys and not Champlain like I thought.

Larry Braggs is an incredible vocalist! I would love to see them cover Air Supply's "All Out of Love"
Larry nailed that vocal-- awesome quality vocal!!! Loved this rendition! I never really like all of Champlin's excessive vocal embellishments at the ends of phrases in concert, but he managed to hold that back just enough here to not take it ludicrously over the top!
Couldnt have put it better myself about Bill but hey this is awesome.!!
I said the same shit. Bill used to do to much. It was aggravating

@@Devyn_LV I agree.
God damn right do it
And yet, it will always be known as a "cover"
WOW.. great.. whew. Good to see Bill and Danny jammin it together.
Wow! Larry Braggs bring this song to a new level. Best version!
Still the same old Bill Champlin.. love this!
Bill has awesome voice. Chicago should not have fired him. He was a good asset to the band.
Excelente interpretación. Bill Chaplin es grande. Saludos desde Querétaro México.
This cover deserves to have more than million views. Keep it up! Love from the Philippines. 🇵🇭
What a fantastic musical moment. Legendary performance!
That voice rise at 2:51....so powerful and emotion-laden. And Bill's original tone so spot on.
I just keep coming back at this version for 3 weeks no! I just cant help but always hear this!!!!! I love it!!!!!
Really nice! Great to see Danny Seraphine playing.
from a long time chicago fan, wow ! i enjoyed this

Why couldn't you grasp him in this band? He sounds to good? Really?
Rain GRO After years of hearing Larry in the quintessential R&B/Funk band to the pop of Chicago just felt like it wasn't the best fit, but I was wrong and I admit it.
mrbertiep1 I appreciate your honesty. Thank you.
Didn't Braggs do a stint with TofP?
@@BassmanII for several years
Great chemistry with these guys! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Beautiful, absolutely beautiful. 👍🎼🎹🎤
Wow nice job. Love Larry's take on this classic. Nobody sings that better than Bill. Way better than what they are calling Chicago these days!
One of My favorite songs and one of my favorite singers. Larry you sound great!
33 years after first hearing this song, Bill could sing the back of a cereal box and my heart would still fall kersplat on the floor. Bill is my hero.
SO. LUCKY!
Oh wow!!! 💕💕💕 I’ve just been searching for a great live version of this song. This is fabulous!
Amazing...just amazing--thanks for the post
I've listened to this and shared a number of times...seriously the perfect version of this song....just killin it Danny....
Best version, I listen to this song atleast twice or 5 times a week..can't get over this song and the performance!
LB!!!!!! Larry Braggs makes everything even better!!!
Nope, Peter Cetera is best with this song.
Beautiful cover of a timeless classic!
That moment when the cover upstages the original. Bravo.
Nobody will ever upstage Peter Cetera singing it!
Wow. Crushed this song. Excellent. Best version I’ve heard since 1984!
That was incredible, One of my favorites.
I agree! This is a fabulous version!
Great! Great! Thank you Bill.
Incredibly awesome job on this one. Literally have goose bumps from the vocals. Wow
Wow what an amazing voice and cover
Wow! That was pretty amazing, it must have been awesome to experience live
Damn, another good version of this track! The original is good... and so is this one. I can hear the passion as drive. Yes!!! Always loved this song. 👍🇺🇸
I'm a 30 yrs old, bill champlin is the man. Absolutely incredible chemistry/performance
Good to see Bill out with Danny!
Thanks Danny. Loved it.
Lovely song, performed well❤
Espectacular, maravilloso!!! 10 puntos para el cantante, perfect!!!
wow that was really good!
Simply amazing!!! THIS should be the real Chicago.
Glad Bill did'nt oversung this, they compliment each other, well done!
amazing duet vocals....
Love it! ❤️🙏
Amazing version. MIND blowing
Wow! Sounds fantastic!
You guys sounded tremendous! Great lead vocals and Danny, you sound sharp
This is true CTA (Chicago Transit Authority) at it's pure raw finest. Danny..., who are you tryin to fool? California Transit Authority??? 😂
I always said that California Transit Authority was cut from the same cloth as the original CTA. Besides, we all live in Cali!
awesome man.. just awesome!
A beautiful live rendition
this is hands down the best version of this song, no disrespect to the original
Wrong!
Beautifully done!
Outstanding!! I'd love to see CTA instead of any wanna be current Chicago band any day!! Please visit Ohio!!

Amazing...WOW
I’m surprised the Chicago Transit Authority didn’t file a suit ! I believe they did with CTA:Chicago back in the beginning?
Fantastic!!!
Sounds great!
FABULOUS!!!!!
This is great stuff
i really feel this version😊
Love love love
flawless
sounds great - sounds better then chicago does today
Wonderfull voice
Superb
❤❤❤
Bill sounded better here than he ever did the last 20 years with Chicago. The guy singing Peter's part is fantastic.
awe inspiring
Wow!
A really great performance by Bill Champlin, who is close to 66 years old when this was recorded. There's no such thing as too old to rock.
So you're saying he is now 103? LOL
@@waynepedersen6551 Wow... where did you get 103? If he was 66 when this video was recorded in 2014 that wouldn't equal 103.
It’s a joke. The way it’s worded, I also thought it sounded like “the original” was recorded when Bill was 66.
Woww....
rock n roll
Did Larry Braggs sang with tower of power?
nice version! just wondering, does Larry sings all or most of the time with tenor voice?
Lead guy was with tower of power
The music 70's,80's forever alive. The music now, including the singers so suck!!!
No disrespect to the singer, he's really good. But this song needs more Jason Scheff or Peter Cetera. Champlin and Danny are great as always. PLEASE bring Jason Scheff into CTA. It will be the most accurate version of 'Chicago' going today.
I dunno. Larry Braggs is killin' it. Great vocalist. This is my least-favorite Chicago song and he's making it listenable.
Damn. That’s all.
nice
Lexington lab band is the best cover of this song.....
Peter Cetera wishes he could've sung it like that
I did not know that Zlatan Ibrahimovic can play piano nicely.
hey who is that black guy? he is giving cetera a run for his money..
Larry Braggs former lead singer of Tower Of Power listen to him singing Dont change Horses In The Middle Of A Stream and To Say The Least youre The most... live in leverkusen
e
I really want to hear Larry Braggs doing it with Lou Pardini :)
Sorry, but Bill Champlin sounds like he's just grunting....
Bill dresses like Liberace. The other guy reminded me of Stevie wonder.
Too much rnb and pop voice. I still like close to being original. But not something like this.
Is he singing with chest or falsetto?
