Excellent video. 5 shoes thoroughly and professionally reviewed with all the information we need in the time it takes some to review one shoe.
Glad you described the speed 4 as a tempo day shoe. I’ve seen some reviews saying they are a ‘do it all’ shoe which they are not. I’ve had mine a month and in my experience at slow pace they are unstable even clunky but pick the pace up and the personality of the shoe changes completely and are as you described.

We try to keep it short and sweet! No reason to spend hours researching through reviews. The Speed 4 is a great tempo day shoe. And I agree, it's not the first shoe I am lacing up for easy miles. To be fair, I think it could do everything, but it's better suited at higher paces for speed work and race day. - Brandon

I ran in the Triumph 22 yesterday for the first time. The toe box is voluminous for sure. For those saying the cushion is somehow “firmer” I simply don’t get it. I’m 140 pounds and I sink easier into the midsole than previous versions and it’s noticeable. I get more energy return than the 20/21. The increased width is for sure felt. It’s a much more stable comfort cruiser than earlier versions. I dig em!

The Ride17 has been a bit disappointing. Short laces, protubérant heel counter hurting the Achilles, narrowness of the mid foot.not a bad shoe, works great to log miles as well as on the track but for larger feet, I would recommend the wide size. Thanks for your video

Roll with the saucony tempus for my daily miles, and the speed 3 for workouts and quicker work. Metaspeed sky paris for my race shoe but I did my first half marathon in the endorphin pro 3 and very much enjoyed that

The Pro 3 is a trusted race day shoe and the Tempus is a sleeper pick! - Brandon

@fleetfeet699 doing the broad street in the sky next week. If I'm fast enough I'll make the push for doing my first marathon. Might go with the pro 3s for that just due to the comfort and support over a long race.

Love the Speed 1 & 2 & Pro 3. New ones are heading in the wrong direction. Pro 3 is still same price as Pro 4, I wonder why? I have only found one video where the reviewer actually pointed out that the Speed 1 & 2 were better shoes. But I realize you need to sell the new shoes so promoting them as a better shoe will help with that.

I loved the Speed 2. At it's time it was the best speed yet. To this day, I have logged more miles in the Speed 2 than any other Speed. The firmer and faster ride was aggressive and snappy and so much fun, similar to the 1st model. I wouldn't put anything against that model. The 3rd and 4th model went up in stack, became softer, and became entirely different shoes. It's hard to compare 1 and 2 vs 3 vs 4. It's more indicative of the trend we are seeing toward softer and higher stack shoes than better vs worse. - Brandon

Absolutely agree - loved both the Speed 2 & the Pro 2 - was initially unsure about the Pro 3 but it is great for racing in and I guess they were looking to differentiate between the Speed and the Pro in version 3.

Bang on - exactly the same. I had 2 pairs of the speed 2. Thought the speed 3 were just so much duller.
The pro 3 are amazing though (on my second pair) and tried on the pro 4, which feel exactly the same of pro 3 so at least they have not been ruined.

I just grabbed two pairs of the Speed 3s since they went on sale but I am looking for a long run shoe separate from my race days and was going between the Ride or Triumph and after this video I think I will go with the Ride 17.

The Speed 3 is my absolute favorite daily trainer. I tried the Ride 17 and it felt firm and a little heavy. I ordered the Triumph 22 after seeing it was getting Pwrrun PB. The weight and clunkiness was even worse and it has zero breathability. I might try the Speed 4 and Pro 4 but I’m not sure it’s much of an upgrade from the 3.

Most of our review team is loving the Speed 4 for its versatility, and in my opinion, super breathable upper. Let us know how you like it if you end up picking it up. - Max

Which is the best for daily walking or working? I have a wide foot, with slight arch, I'm a heavy tall guy and just need something that won't make my feet feel like they're dying. I have the echelon 9 and they're fine but I do want to try something else

The Ride and Guide 17s are the best looking shoes on the market, but I'll probably get the New Balance Rebel v4 because of the lower weight.

What about the Tempus? Guide 17 or Tempus 1 (or 2 which is supposed to be released this summer)?
I ran in the Brooks Adrenaline GTS for years because I needed at least moderate stability (borderline narrow, and flat feet). They did the job, but wanted something lighter and springy, so grabbed the Tempus about 1 1/2 years ago. I am on my fourth pair and haven’t looked back, until the Guide 17 came out, which peaked my interest…
FYI, I run a 5k 4-5x/week. Not a massive mile runner. I just do it to keep in shape.

Same I got 2 pairs I like them so much but now looking for a race day shoe for my first half marathon in October. Can’t decide as I wear a size 15 and on the taller 6ft 4” side and heavier at 275/280

When I go for half or longer run, my toes start hurting, like they are being compressed and circulation is cutoff 😢 I wear Speed 3 or Pro 3. I thought maybe it’s because of Speedroll…?
Do you have a recommendation please! 🙂

PWRRUN+ is probably the most durable foam on the market and you say that can handle just 400 miles and in a way that it's a lot. Come on. Triumph could easily handle 1000-1500km and still be as bouncy. That's also confirmed by Saucony themselves. 400 miles (640km) would be the average mid/low for most other shoes, but definitely not shoes like Triumph (now Ride 17).

My Triumph 20 has 978km and still (very) bouncy. If it wasn’t for some wear on the heel area and mold on the midsole (forefoot, under the insole), they would be perfect. I heard 21 has less space on the toebox, and 22 ir firmer.. so I think I’ll buy another pair of the 20
