Use a cleaning rod for those stuck rounds. They are opening up and sticking in the rifling. I hate to open up an action and see scratch marks around the chamber.
I think I still have some of those rounds floating around. Used to shoot starlings with them. I can't ever recall actually downing one, but they would get the heck out of Dodge after a few "ticklings."
Oh, BTW. "Point blank" means the range you have zeroed your rifle/pistol to. So, if you zeroed your rifle to 100 yards, your "point blank" range is 100 yards. Before 100 yards, your bullet will be above your zero, after 100 yds. it will be below.
You shot the pumpkin at "Close Range." Well, unless you zeroed your Cricket to 3 inches.

I guess your right I didn't zero my guns at 3 feet away so I hit it at very close range lol That's crazy about the starlings. I wonder if anyone have taken on down

That "Point blank " thing used to drive one of my friends bonkers. He'd hear news reporters use that term and it has become synonymous with close range. But, it isn't. It's just the distance you have chosen where your bullet falls to where your sights are set. I wasn't chastising you, I just figured you'd been brainwashed with the same misnomer. Kind of like "More." I've heard idiot newscasters actually use the phrase " More Close" and "More fast." I think teachers are forgetting to teach that "ER" or "R" is the correct useage. And, I hated English class!
One of the other misnomer is "Clip" vs. "Magazine." An M-1 Garand uses a clip. An AR uses a magazine.

I agree with you and the hole magazine vs clip drives me crazy. I hate when someone on the news starts bashing on guns and they can't even say the right thing. Like ar14, ar15, ar16 etc
