Lube is safe, it’s technically less of a chemical compound then most makeups. Makeup has harsh chemicals, additives like metals and talc. Because lube goes internally it has to be extraordinarily body safe.
As far as the lube as primer goes, the main thing that will likely tell whether it will work or not is the chemistry behind it. There are water, oil, and silicone based foundations, and silicone and water based lubes. If you use a silicone-based lube with a water-based foundation, it'll separate. If you use two products with the same base, they'll blend nicely. This is also why sometimes your foundation and primer separate, no matter what you do, but other people seem to love it. I hope that helps. :)

And for the blush, it takes time to color change and the emoji was a green hour glass timer, and the same for every other product!! So clever Mia!!!! 😊
The color-changing blush reacts to the heat from your skin which is why it didn't change nearly as quickly on your hand as it did on your warm cheeks. If you put it on your lips, for example, it would get super pink SUPER fast. :) It's the same idea as the blue lipstick one! Heat-activated.

“I think how these color changing things work is that it changes a diff color based on your skin tone.” HHah umm, Mia, the product isn’t able to understand your skin tone. The color change effect is due to a certain colorant used which is activated when it comes in contact with a certain range of pHs. Just a message for anyone out there that might benefit from it: no one should be worried when learning that their family members are purchasing lube. For another video I think it would be great if you got a colour analysis done and took us with you for the process, and then thoughts on whether this will change your wardrobe etc.
Using personal lubricant as a makeup primer can lead to facial skin sensitivities and allergies to some of the ingredients often found in lube, like castor oil, chlorhexidine, and spermicide
I'm so glad the lube turned out to not work because I was so prepared to get some and explain to my parents why it's in plain view 🤣 If it worked, it'd be a great price so worth the embarrassment 😅

just in case you actually wanted to know how that blush works, the color changes due to your skin's ph, essentially its level of acidity. So if you have a higher ph your blush will be more warm-toned and if you have a lower ph your blush will be on the cooler side. SO it has nothing to do with the colour of your skin but how many/how much acid your skin has/ has on top of it

Mia saying how she doesn't know if the lube is safe enough to put on face then uses foundation and colour changing blush then uses the candy in top of them and proceeds to eat is kinda concerning lol
Oh Mia! When you warned your family about your purchase saying "Don't worry it's for a video", did they not ask "WHAT KIND OF VIDEO??? "😳...too funny 🤣 By the way yes the lightning is much, much better 👍
Surely you don’t need to justify buying lube when you’re 23 and engaged?!
The exposure is much better thanks for fixing that for us Mia! 😄
The Huda highlighter looks like a science experiment on a petri dish. Bacterium? Fungal growth? Idk. Makes me feel weird lmao.
Mia dabbing her face with the candy then eating it has me cracking up😂😂 lover her🥰
I feel like lube would be fine seeing as it’s meant to be used in the part of your body that gets infected or irritated easily
Mia thank you so much for supporting the lupus foundation!!!!! I’ve been fighting it for 16 years and have almost died three times. You are so sweet 💜💜💜
I’m kind of obsessed with the blue lipstick as a shade
Anyone else think the Huda beauty rose quartz looks like a dirty Petri dish 🧫 ? ??? Lol 🥴🥴🥴
I thought the same exact thing! Looks like cultured bacteria
My mom used to swear by putting hemoroid cream on her wrinkles. When I once asked her why she did this she replied.. well if hemoroid cream drinks your piles it will shrink ya wrinkles! Lol 😂😂😂
Mia makes my day even when the video idea isn’t something i normally watch I still click because she’s just a ray of sunshine
Wow Mia was in quite the mood throughout this video!!! I needed a good laugh though….love you Mia 💜
The original version of the berry candy is from Haribo and they're so good. Idk about the off brand ones you got but they're not the original
She got the ones that were recommended in the comments.
Jelly Belly’s version is really good but smaller than either of those brands.
The ones she got aren’t off brand, they’re just not the brand you are most familiar with. They’re a good brand though and what was recommended for the trend
For another video I think it would be great if you got a colour analysis done and took us with you for the process, and then thoughts on whether this will change your wardrobe etc.
As an Australian the irony of the “I’m not rooting for this” 😂😂😂
My thoughts too 😂
Hahaha I was going to comment the same 😂
Had the same thought as well 😂 also - I swear Kmart sells or used to sell the berry candies.
I just want to know what was going through their mind when they decided to use lube as primer... lol
Mia please do another video of my family chooses my outfits for a week but this time including your fiancé
Love u btw
Using personal lubricant as a makeup primer can lead to facial skin sensitivities and allergies to some of the ingredients often found in lube, like castor oil, chlorhexidine, and spermicide
I'm so glad the lube turned out to not work because I was so prepared to get some and explain to my parents why it's in plain view 🤣 If it worked, it'd be a great price so worth the embarrassment 😅
Congratulations on your engagement! I found you four years ago, when I was planning my own wedding and watched your Wish wedding dress reviews. Ordered one anyway, and…yeah, it’s worse than a 1970s dressing gown. I made my dress with my mom instead.
Now, I sell t-shirts on Wish. Go figure!
I have to say my favorite was the candy part. Mia seemed more interested in it for the candy then makeup and couldn't get enough. I loved it
just in case you actually wanted to know how that blush works, the color changes due to your skin's ph, essentially its level of acidity. So if you have a higher ph your blush will be more warm-toned and if you have a lower ph your blush will be on the cooler side. SO it has nothing to do with the colour of your skin but how many/how much acid your skin has/ has on top of it
I have earrings just like that and I love them! They make me so happy. Whenever I wear them people ask me if I am planning on making some lemonade.
Also, love your videos! They really brighten my day. It is hard to find positive things to watch sometimes. And I loved seeing your vacation videos. I love your family and you and Stuart are so cute. I just love it all lol
What is lube??? Am I the only one??😅
Just decant the lube into another bottle and keep using it! Lol. It looks good 🤷🏼♀️😆
Never mind. I'm sure you'll find another use for it 😂
The sneezing was the highlight of my weekend.
I am so glad u are bringing make up videos back!!! And yes the lighting so pretty💫

If that lube is silicone based then you have to use silicone based foundation otherwise it won't work and will look bad. I think that is what Nikki's problem was and since the lube was probably silicone based and she probably used water based they didn't mix well and separated.‼‼‼‼‼‼‼‼‼‼
i think the lube would be a great primer for photo shoots. it’s super inexpensive but would give the same appearance as an expensive primer. no one would know the difference unless you told them 🤷
