a month later I'm now uploading this and I still haven't received the bird buddy

It’s actually Facebook as well and it’s because they don’t gaf about anything/ they just wanna make money it’s not just about ads it’s about anything having to do with them

I know especially when her nose is literally stuffed with tissues in her remodel videos because she's allergic to paint lol

Turns out no scam. It just arrived a bit ago and she included it in a video. It’s super cute. If it wasn’t so expensive I’d get one. We love our birds.
If y’all don’t know - before you purchase a candle, smell the lid (NOT the candle) and that will be the strength of the smell of the candle while it burns. I believe it is called a “cold throw”. So, strong lid smell = strong “hot throw”, not a strong lid smell = bland candle when burning! Hope this helps :)
does this only apply to certain material lids? i.e. glass, metal, wood, plastic...

@@zahavashaw2083 not in my experience. I’m inclined to think that a cork, wood, something porous would of course absorb more so than just a plastic/stainless lid but nonetheless, it still works! Great question!!!

Hey Mia! I'm a bit late but if you still haven't gotten your bird buddy yet and you bought it using a credit card, you might try to contact your credit card company to dispute the charge/explain the situation - sometimes they'll give you back your money and then go after the company themselves
PLEASE HEAR ME OUT. You and Drew Gooden both buy the first five adds you see but ship it too the other person as a surprise. He makes these all the time and I know it would be hilarious since both of you are so specifically targeted. You would both get completely different adds. But I loved this Mia!!

Bird buddy is a scam. I checked a thread on Reddit and there were so many people who said they were scammed, no refund at all, no reply nothing. there were couple people who received it, but those accounts were very scammy. Anyway I got one for my grams on aliexpress & it cane in 4 weeks paid $80 and worth it. Lol

Lots of people are saying the birdbuddy feeders are a scam, some ordered one a year ago and never got anything but an email saying production is delayed. Apparently it's a kickstarter company that got a couple million dollars for their idea but hasn't gotten to production yet
I bought mine on Kickstarter in 2020 and still don't have it. They swear I'm getting it in September. Honest. For real.

mia next time you use the clay if it cracks like that once dry: take some of the leftover clay and mix it with water to make kind of a paste and use that to fill in the cracks just make sure it isnt too liquidy or too thick and it should work perfectly once smoothed out! also using a wet sponge and misting clay with a spray bottle helps get things smoother as long as its not overly wet

The sculpting set is so easy to just make for yourself! I buy air drying clay and glaze from either Amazon or a craft store and it's sooo much cheaper and using paint and stuff I already have is wayy better for the environment, still nice to get a set as a gift though

As someone who worked at a nursery, a garden center and some other smaller plant shops... how does she think plants get from a nursery to a big box store or other plant stores 😆 made me chuckle for sure lolol

It’s so funny to me that other people often equate the after rain smell as worms and I’ve always loved the smell because it smells fresh and of spring time. 😂

it's one of my favorite smells.... btw, it's produced by microbes in the soil 😀
Can I just say? Mia and I have very different styles of both clothing and home decor, but I really appreciate the fact that she is true to herself, has unique ideas that one does not see online and her overall personality really comes through in her dresses and her house interior. Something not seen before and truly personal.

I’ve had my snake plant for 2 years and when we moved we forgot about her in a random room and she went without water for MONTHS and she’s 100% fine. Still alive and still beautiful!

I'm so glad you got an ad for local, small business candles! I'm a big advocate for scented products by small businesses because on the whole they use much less chemicals and they hold so much more passion in both concepts and execution! Supporting them helps both body and soul :)
I've found a lot of local candles on both Instagram and Etsy, and have gotten into perfumes as well. Once I took the leap to independent makers I quickly realized I couldn't go back to the mass market stuff, you can really smell the difference!
Edit: I like the candle containers too, they look like they can be recycled easily and safely!
Mala’s not a small business- they’re in major department stores in Canada, but they’re still ethical and smell amazing.

I found this really cute clay jewelry company online via ads too. I think it was Cloop something. But small business are great
I’ve been getting ads from one of those companies that build you a house from scratch recently. Probably because I recently moved so my Google searches were all about moving. When Mia said no price limit her getting an ad for a house or something else stupidly expensive was all I could think about 😂
Little tip for all zit stickers: they are meant for pimples that have come to a head. If you put them on one that is still under the skin, you won't see much difference. But they work wonders on whitehead pimples.
My routine is zapzit cream once it appears twice a day until it comes to a head, then sticker once to twice a day until gone. Cuts the lifespan in half.

Mia, they do make nesting boxes that affix to your window, and the side against your window can be seen through. This way you can watch the birds build their nest, lay their eggs, those eggs hatch, and the birds raise their young. You can use water to smooth clay out while it`s wet and send paper when it`s completely dry. Clay loves a little bit of water. Anyway, looks nice.
Air dry yes you can’t with other clay types like for the oven to my knowledge.
I just bought air dry clay for 8 bucks that was waaaay too much money for clay
Hi! Amateur sculpteur here. There's many reasons why he bowl cracked and was uneven. When using clay it is better to not have many little pieces pressed together because it creates the possibility of missing some areas and have air in between layers.
You should also do cross hashes on both side of the pieces you want to stick and add slip (slip is basically watered down clay, everyone has a different preferance in consistency, but I would go around yogurt consistence.)by doing that you are sealing the pieces of clay. And it would still be considered a weak point.
You indeed need water while working clay because it dries pretty fast and having water also helps to smooth out the surface as mentioned above. Even if you use slip or add water you can fire them, but we need to keep in mind that weak points will become very obvious and the size and colour of the clay will change too it usually shrinks as the water in the clay evaporates.

With pimple patches they don’t usually stick if you have any face product on (including moisturizer) and usually you have to poke/open the pimple to allow the patch to soak up the insides onto the patch 💕

{context - I work at a greenhouse, we get huge boxes of houseplants and carts shrink wrapped with plastic for the outside plants shipped to us every week}

Same for me as well. When I was a kid I remember that after a rainstorm there would be earthworms all over the driveway and road. After that I always associated the smell of rain to smell like worms. Anybody that I would bring this up to would look at me like I was crazy. The only time that I think rain smells good and not like worms is right before it rains like when the storm is just starting to blow in, but after everything is wet it smells like worms to me😂 Even though I've never picked up and sniffed a worm before. I also was eating Ramen noodles as a ki'd after a rainstorm and I walked outside bowl in hand to see all the earthworms crawling about. I looked down at my noodles and that was it, I had to toss them in the trash. To this day as a 38 yr old adult I cannot eat Ramen because after the first few bites I think of worms and gross myself out. I've never been able to get passed it. It's weird how our child brains associate different things to other things and it stays with us forever. It's also crazy how some of us have the same weird associations like rain smelling like worms😂

Def love the vid bc it’s seeing an honest reviewer of those social media ads. I see a lot and always tempted but too worried that they could be scams. Watching this really helps bring to light which ads are legit and which are fishy.

Hey Mia! Just wanted to let you know that it would be a good idea to put your plants in a pot that has drainage holes! You could use a nursery pot, and then just pop that whole thing into your nicer pot after you've watered it. Never plant plants in pots without drainage holes! It's a recipe for root rot, esp for the ficus!
Rubber tree's are very resilient from my experience as long as you take care of them well, they also get big and love to take over an entire space if you let them (if you don't trim them at all). They are fun tree's and I love them. Also, a side note don't let dogs eat them, it's definitely bad for them.

Trees? I’ve seen volunteers planting “trees” and it should be clarified as they are planting tree seedlings most of which promptly die. Sounds good but not!

Second fave is the candles. I don't have a lot of room for them but I love the smell. I can't burn them because of my cats but I can just sniff them whenever

Check the reviews for the bird feeder. I love the plants, they are doing so well. The sculpture kit was well made. Your cup could've gone twice the height easily. See if the site has other color paints and compare them to craft acrylics. There may be other ingredients that make them better suited to pottery. I've seen special "stone" paints. How are you doing with the candles?

I've never met anyone else who's fave SpongeBob episode is the squidville one.
That's one has always been in my top 3 fave episodes because of the canned bread. I don't now why but I always loved that part of the episode and it always makes me feel happy.
Also the episode where he gets the suds is probably top 3.

I actually kind of enjoy the squidville one, if only for the whole leaf blower scene and the way he loses it after getting so bored. The Band Geek episode shall forever be my number 1 and hashslinging slasher one is another of my favorites as I still remember watching that episode with my grandpa and his reaction to Nosferatu at the end
The pottery looks so much fun! I wish there was more Colors! You can fill in the cracks even after it dry, u can still fix it! All u gotta do is mix water with a little bits of clay and make into muddy clay! And then u just fill in the cracks and let it dry again!

Hey Mia, I love bergamot too! In fact I have two “bee balm” bergamot plants and love being able to walk out side and have it smell like a delicious cup of earl grey tea. I’m not sure how well they would do where you are in Canada but they grow here in upper Indiana with minimal help.
I avoided covid for 2.5 years but unfortunately it finally got me :( so happy I get Mia content while in quarantine 💗💗

I am so with you on toxic candles. I came to the same conclusion a few years ago. I am very prone to headaches, so if any candles are going to be got they will need to be clean. I love the plants you got, that zig zag plant is so cool. I may need to give them a try. Thinking I need more plants in the house to clean the air.

Hate to tell you this but you're not getting your bird feeder. And you can't get your money back now since it's been way too long to get it back through your credit card company.
The star pimple things work so well!! If I have a big pimple I wear them over night, depending how big it is, could be 2-3 days, and they go down so much!! I want the SpongeBob ones though. I grew up with that show, so cool to see that had a different addition!!

Mala candles smell AMAZING! They sell them at a store I used to work in and I loved their scents so much! Cabin Fever and Silk are veryyy good!
Just some advice on the plants - they generally do better if you keep them in plastic pots and don't plant them directly into the decorative pot! Especially the crassula (or any plant that doesn't require a lot of water) really doesn't like to have moisture sitting at the bottom of the pot and keeping them in the plastic pots helps the water drain better. Repotting them again into plastic pots and putting those in the decorative ones might be something to consider if you want to help them stay as healthy as they are now :)

Soot is pretty unavoidable when it comes to candle burning. It's not that there's toxins in the candle, it's the burning process.
Unsolicited advice incoming;
The higher the temperature, the less soot and fine dust, so a warm flame is important (more complete combustion).
Don't put the candle at a place where there's a lot of airflow, a flikkering flame is no good. You do want ventilation during the burning process though, to limit exposure.
It's also important that the flame gets enough oxygen so it shouldn't be deep in a glass (not enough oxygen will cause incomplete combustion).
If you want to put the flame out, dipping it in candle wax is a good way to go (pull it out again after). Blowing out a candle doesn't stop the process instantly, the longer it takes to fully die, the more incomplete combustion it'll go through. (There's probably tools for quickly putting out candles.)
When it comes to the type of candle that's most healthy, go for a candle that'll burn slowly. No need to avoid scented candles when you don't have asthma and bee, soy or paraffin wax don't matter that much either, though people who try to sell you something like to tell you otherwise (and may not know otherwise). When you have to cut off the wick regularly because it gets too long, that's a bad sign of candle quality. Also avoid candles with multiple wicks, that's basically multiple candles.
I've double checked my information with a Dutch article from 2020 that asked a toxicologist from the University of Maastricht.
The only thing I can think of that would be a reason why there would be toxins in candles would be bad manufacturers and not enough protection for the costumer like we have in the EU, though with slow burning candles, you'll be more likely to get higher quality. There's occasions where the US is actually more protective so I really can't say.
I'll end it with, don't be too afraid to lit up a candle now and then. It doesn't matter that much if you do it occasionally and you'll have a good time which is a healthy thing. Also, try to limit barbequing, I'm sure you can imagine why. Thank you for reading, I'll 🤐 now.

Jade plants can last YEARS & get REALLY big. I got one small like that 4 a housewarming gift & I eventually replanted it outside in my flowerbed & when I moved out 13 years later it was a huge bush! And it takes very little care.

It's a scam site. I'm finding reviews where people ordered one as a Christmas present, had a delivery date pushed back til March then the company cancels the order without a refund.
One person said they ordered theirs off of the kickstarter in 2020 and still have not received it.

For Bird Buddy, they warn you when you order when your shipping will be. For example, I ordered mine earlier this year and it just shipped a week ago. I went to the site and if you ordered now it would be for Christmas time. So I wouldn't label it 'scam', it just probably hasn't shipped yet!
