Today is decision day for me. I think I'm going to quit my job without another lined up. Have rental income and clients I personal train. Think gig work is going to help supplement me.
Thank you so much for your video! Very straightforward and clear. Going to write out my fears now.

I'm in group d. I need to resign to fix myself and focus on my mental health. Had a sudden and severe Recurrence and now I know I will never be able to work for at least a few months.
Gut wrenching because I may need to consider I am not built for work in general. But I prefer being an employee and have zero interest in business.
    So I'm completely lost.

If you haven’t made a video about it already, I’m curious to know the process you went through of figuring out what to do as a freelancer

You gave some great tips and considerations! Before I quit my job, I was in group A. Ultimately, I was after time/financial freedom and location independence.

    Few questions for you Paige,
    1) did you have had a Gap in your career after you quit your job in 2021 as you just mentioned in this video ??
    2) If there was a Gap in your career, how long was it ??
    3) In the US, how do the Companies or Recruiters perceive/ view Women who have had a considerable Gap in their Careers when such Women start applying for job openings ??
I am asking you this question Paige because I have often seen/heard that it's really so incredibly difficult for Women to get back into the Workforce if they have had quite a considerable Gap in their career
    4) Also Paige if a Woman has had a Gap in Career due to her health issues/ taking care of someone elderly at home who are having health issues/ becoming a Mother/ could be for whatever personal reason
Do the Companies/ Recruiters in US actually Judge Women when Women who have had a Gap in their Careers apply for job openings and trying to get back into the Workforce???

I think it is also mission critical to have a boyfriend who will sponsor you while you quit your 9-5 corporate job.

Hi Paige, I ask this question thousands of times every day. I'm dangling between should I quit or not and I realise it takes guts. I watch your videos on loop to reach a conclusion but my heart starts beating fast when I think I might fail. I want to ask does having support from the government influences your decision to quit or not? I'm asking because I'm from India and the government doesn't have any support for anyone who is unemployed.

That's a really good question! As far as I know, the American state governments only support us if we get fired or are laid off. If we simply quit, there is no financial support except in special circumstances. (This may vary per state.) But if we qualify for public (financial) assistance, that usually requires us to actively look for another job. Correct me if I'm wrong, Paige.

What is this support you speak of?

@@adriangee4272 Government aid while being unemployed. Like the one sanctioned by the American govt. to support people during the pandemic. Most of the developed countries helped their citizens whereas people from developing countries did not get such aid.

Gaps on my resume are none of their business 😂 Also being employed has little to do with being qualified for any given position

Amazing. I want to quit too. Biggest fear that i will be homeless and never able to find a partner for long time. You partner is the luckiest. Found girl who care about finance and husband. Maybe he is a cat? Or parrot ))))
