Have been skippering yachts for over 40 years with 25 years in the Mediterranean and the rest in and around New Zealand, I’m really impressed that you are taking this challenge on with your kids with little or no sailing experience, only way to gain that experience is by getting out there and doing it. @@SailingELANE Yes, Nearly bought a 43 in Croatia, but when I saw the 45 .....! It's not just the 2 extra feet in length, it's the beam and headroom too (I'm 6'3") Have owned mine 3 1/2 yrs now, and love her - no plans to change 😊 Yours is a beauty too, hope she is doing everything you want. Ok. Will keep in contact, and maybe meet somewhere else. J.
