It was like “oh fuck, this is it… I knew it!” (It obviously wasn’t… but damn I know that it’s a trap feeling from back then lol)
My opinion this album is a masterpiece and my favorite album ever. Aesop is a fucking artist man. I listen to classic rock, rap, pop, punk, alt, metal, and honestly think this is the best for me.
And it's so relatable. Whether you normally suffer from paranoia or not, we've all had that experience. It's night, you're home alone, you hear a strange noise, and your imagination just runs wild. You know in your head that it's nothing, but simultaneously, you know in your gut that it's a serial killer just waiting for you to go to sleep.
My favorite for this album has to be a tie between 1 to 10 and Dog at the Door. I have to replay them both like 5 times on every playthrough, and I've had the album on repeat since it dropped.
I could never be a reactor, I don't have the patience. My copy came in Thursday afternoon and I listed to it like 10 times that day. The whole album is so good. I think my favorite track right now is Kodokushi.

Jumping Coffin was the first AR song I was able to recite on beat from memory. It is so cool, a ghost story told from the ghost's perspective.. I got Gauze down now too and almost all of Gopher guts. It's a fun exercise memorizing and spitting back Aes lyrics. Great vocal warmup.

The song is 3 and a half minutes and this one couple guys managed to stretched that shit to 24 minutes just by rewinding every bar like they never heard a rhyme before. glad 2 see someone doing it right, keep it up ✌️/ p.s. if you haven't already do a reaction to the Barcade music video on the Rhymesayers channel. It's a bit weird watching someone who clearly doesn't have anxiety reacting to a song about how your brain processes things when you have bad anxiety. You hear that and go "It's not a trap, why is he so obsessed with it being a trap," things like that, but with generalized anxiety disorder, everything immediately becomes the worst case scenario. If I hear someone calling my name, I don't think "Oh, he has something to show me," I immediately think "I've done something horrible and forgotten it," or "I knew that this relationship was just a long lie so that he could learn all of my secrets and use them to hurt me."

This might be outta left field, but have you heard of Kill Bill or Rav? Or EXOciety in general? They're a pretty small and kinda underground rap label. Rav's the owner, and the other members are Kill Bill, Scuare, and Airospace, though Rav and Kill Bill are typically the ones talked about. Not saying you should do a video on any of their stuff as I doubt it would get many clicks, but if you have the time I recommend Ramona by Kill Bill. It has a handful of collab tracks with him and Rav so it's a good intro to both, also a well respected album in general. Also, I hiiiiighly recommend Tomorrow Morning by Aes. It's a single from a while ago (around None Shall Pass era) that a lot of people overlook. Dope joint

"I collect dog tags" is what i like about Aes. he's saying "I take no prisoners." soldiers have dog tags to ID them when they die. but if he said "i take no prisoners" it would be boring so "I collect dog tags" lets him say the same thing in a different way you have to decode.
