My white Crape Myrtle is blooming like crazy right now (7-12-21) but my Dynamite Crape Myrtle looks like it's shedding it's leaves like in the fall. It's a weird tree for sure.

I have a newly planted myrtle, the flower buds are presented beautifully, but it’s started to curl a little bit (soft and dropping on the tips). Am I overwatering or it’s lack of watering? Thank you so much!

What about frost? We had two pretty good frosts during the leaves coming on. Buds were still small but now they are struggling to get leaves on here in East Tn.

This seems to be for new crape myrtle trees. Mine are over a decade old and trying to catch a cloud. Neighbor cuts his back flat topped, which is supposed to be bad, but they're flowering. I'm trying to learn what to do about mine. Any help appreciated. Thank you

Mine is a Nachez and has not bloomed yet. I live in SC. Last year it bloomed early in June. I have not pruned it and it gets plenty of sunlight.

I have 9 Nachez, 8 are not blooming, full sun, and the one in part shade is blooming like crazy for 2 or 3 weeks now, last year all bloomed at same time, I only cut shoots off the bottom, no top pruning, can't reach , 6-21-24

My crape myrtle was here when we moved in so have no idea which one it is. It looks good/healthy and has a lot of unopened buds. I am being patient as I understand differing bloom times, but now - quite of few of the unopened buds are dropping to the ground. Am I doing something wrong or is there something I need to be doing? It's in full sun and is watered regularly. Thanks for any help you can give.

What do you think of the Miss Frances vs the dynamite crape myrtle?

My crepe myrtles did not bloom at all last year (2020) both my front and back yard trees. I believe it is because of geo-engineering. Some of my neighbors trees did not bloom either. I live in San Antonio, Texas. And this year it look like they will not be blooming. Prepare to meet your Maker everybody, thru Jesus, the Son of God.

Maybe but more likely it's the size. I'm no expert but the ones left completely untrimmed seem to stop blooming.

I have a well established crape myrtle tree that usually blooms in July/aug. we live in zone 9 (I think). central california near Sacramento.we had work done in our yard with a lot of dust from cutting paver stones. the dust covered everything. coincidently, our beautiful tree located right next to the work, has not bloomed this year. just wondered if all the dust could have effected the blooming cycle of our tree? what do you think?

If the only thing that changed was concrete dust, quite possibly.

Give it some Bloom Fertilizer. Its too late in the season now. My white Crape Myrtle did not bloom. It was where I had it planted. It was getting sun, but it would get shady. I gave it bloom fertilizer and it finally bloomed. Now it blooms on its own. But the first couple of years, no blooms. I also think it was trying to establish itself.
