An amazing scene, Kaylee. The colors are vibrant. It seems to remind me of a feel of 'The Lord of the Rings' when the ship sails to the 'Undying Lands'. It's just so breathtaking.
Hey Kaylee! It's Jennifer! How are you? I hope you had a nice Thanksgiving! I'm thankful that there is a wonderful talented relaxing artist like you to watch on UA-cam. Lovely painting especially with the palette knife. If you do a Friday video can you please do another one with the palette knife? It's so calm and relaxing watching you paint Kaylee! Keep it up!
Hey Jennifer! Thank you for being here :) I’m just happy to not be as sick as I was, and bonus, the sun is shining here in salt lake! Yay me! I’m so glad you like my pallet life paintings, they are soooo fun for me to paint!
I was a little confused at what you were trying paint. At 1st, I thought you were going for a colorful tornado and then the flying upside down guitar from the 1st Boston album cover. But by the end, loved the sunset with the reflection on the water and the 2 cliffs on either side. Thanks!
Do u ever thin your paint for the clouds? It seems I have to in order to get it to stick… if so do u do liquid white or thinner or what to get the best effect?
I think it’s a combo answer. First the liquid white on the canvas from the start needs to be thin. Second the next layer need to be sparring. Meaning the more paint you have the more adjustments you need to make. I like to always blend the background - then add clouds. Soften them as in pull off excess paint. Keep the brush clean. Then you add the highlight. This last step needs to be thin with a light touch. BUT if you mess the last step up you might have to remove the thin paint and start again with the thick. Just think. Thick to thin and back again. I think I hit on most
@@KayleeRakowskiArt thx for the great in-depth answer. I appreciate your advice and lessons. I get lost watching u and a few other folks make it look so easy lol. I’m going to finish this video tomorrow but awesome work as always!!!

To thin my clouds this painting, I used liquid white and this is common for me to do
