Congratulations gentlemen, we did it. A lot of hard work from all has paid off. Charming, authentic, and heart-warming, as we'd hoped. Big love and cheers to great longevity for m-pact.
I've been following m-pact more than 10 years, and cannot stop running tears with seeing everyone including ex-members are gathering and singing. I want guys to watch it and hope they like m-pact as well.
This is STUNNING! What a spendid tribute to this remarkable group .Marco and the rest of the men look and sound so awesome. And the production values of it, in these "covid times, are simply a knockout. Bravo Gentlemen!!!
love this song guys! very inspirational! how many i been almost feeling to die, but always the strong hand of the lord has rescue me drom despair and sorrow! thanks for share!! suscribed!
I never realized how much you guys mean to me until I actually watched this video. Seeing you guys my senior year of high school in Thornton, Colorado in 2008 really helped to lock in my love for vocal music.
Thanks so much, Daniel! We all had similar "a-ha" experiences in high school, so we've always made it a part of our mission to give back and contribute to music education in any way we can. Keep singing!
I remember the OGs, back when I was singing in college ('96-'98) they came and worked with our group and, I got to run sound for their concert. This song still goes through my head regularly.
I first heard a cappella music live as a senior in high school when m-pact performed at the UAF Jazz Festival in Fairbanks, Alaska, April 1997. That day I found out that three of the members were alums of the University of Northern Colorado, where I was headed to start my undergrad the coming Fall. Matt and Trist gave clinics for my high school choir. Jonathan talked to me about how great UNC would be. And Matt gave me a 10 second VP lesson on snare sounds. At UNC, I met Rudy and we sang together for a year in the top vocal jazz group there and geeked out in his car listening to m-pact's "2" album. I was so excited when Rudy joined the group! Over my time at UNC, I saw m-pact about 6 times. I've gone on to a career in vocal music, continuing to sing a cappella and beatbox within the Army. My work has allowed me to watch some of the best musicians in the world perform. Yet it was the times I saw m-pact live that remain the most thrilling performances I've ever experienced. Like Bobby McFerrrin for many, it was m-pact that inspired me to imagine what the human voice could do. Like this song says: there was a change in my life, since you (ok, y'all) came along!
Brendan, thanks so much for your message! As it happens, each of us currently in m-pact also had similar experiences being blown away and inspired by the early iterations of the group. We are deeply humbled to be a part of this tremendous legacy, and it was a thrill to bring back so many of the "old" guys for this special project! PS - Perhaps a collaboration with m-pact and Army Voices could be in our future?
So incredibly heart-warming and awe-inspiring. What an amazing thing y'all started all those years ago. Beautifully performed and produced. Made me a little weepy... Wonderful that it's still going strong, and so very nice to hear original voices, too.
@@MarcoCassone Well, how could anyone not? Every performance I've ever seen has always been of such high caliber... So inspiring. Just think, remember when y'all crashed in our college apartment in Greeley, all sleeping on the living room floor and couches when you guys first started? It might have been the first trip back to CO with M-Pact for the folks who came from UNC. You and M-Pact have come a long way, baby! 😁 From humble beginnings came so many accolades and accomplishments for all of the past and present members. Tremendous!
I'm going through a massive health crisis. Almost died in 2021 from an artery bursting in my sinuses. I've had over 12 surgeries in the past 11 years. I saw God. To nay sayers, I am ok with any opinion. I'm tired of being sick and down. Singing helps. I have no tissue in my right ear so I'm legally deaf and because of brain trauma inoperable. I'm reaching out. I just want to sing and have my voice heard.
This is probably a "well, DUH!" kind of question, but is Britt a contra-tenor? What is his range? I met you guys at a couple of the Primarily A Capella Summits in Marin. It's wonderful to see the group is doing so good - well deserved!
Thanks for the message! In college, Britt did study as a countertenor. Although countertenors are more specifically trained to use their falsetto in classical settings, he was able to apply that training to his work as a jazz/pop vocalist. Incidentally, Drew - m-pact's current highest voice - also trained as a countertenor at the university level. There are times when their voices sound very similar (check out Drew's solo in "We Can Work ot Out" as an example).
Unfortunately, Jake wasn't available to participate in the recording/video process. But, we definitely did our best to include him in the video/photo montages. His contribution to the group's legacy is immeasurable!
Also, if you haven't already...be sure to check out our new album "25 Years of Harmony, Vol. 2", which includes the live version of "What If We Was Cool". The re-mastered track sounds SO good, and is a reminder of what a freak of nature Jake Moulton is! :-D
Manhattan transferのファンでここにたどり着きましたぁ。それからはm-pactの曲を聴くようになりました。😊 これからも素敵な曲を聴かせてください。
ありがとう🍀

As a life long M-Pact fan, this was the best gift ever. Brings me back to seeing the guys perform at the Kirkland PAC.
Thanks so much! Hope to make it back to the PNW someday soon 💕❤
Yes! Saw them there several times as well as the Triple Door in Seattle.
My favorite song from M-Pact. Been listening to them since the mid 1990s and have many albums.
Thank you so much! More new music coming soon 🎶 👀
This has to be the highest covid-era production value I’ve ever seen
Wow, no THAT'S a compliment; very appreciated, G!

OMG, I had no idea of Kenton Chen!
Wait, Kenton Chen was part of MPact at one point?
Yes indeed. From 2014-2016.
My dad is in that song
He helped start this group, so we wouldn't be here without him. We're very grateful 🙏

I want to be apart
1:28 He kind of looks like post plastic surgery Michael Jackson, but still with dark skin.
