I'm a senior full stack engineer. Everything he is saying to Asmon is just basic SDLC that WE ALL do everyday. The lack of progress is still not justified. His big Scrum/Sprint words don't fool me.
It also looks incredibly uninspired. The showcases looked like a immersive world and in the end it just looks really, really generic in my mind. And that happened every time. Getting extreme Mortal Online 2 vibes. One Director/CEO with a Ego and a constant money/funding problem
watching all this unfold actually changed my mind, i like steven and i hope his project succeeds and even flourishes. he loves mmos and hes building one. we keep hate spamming these kinds of guys out of developing games and we arent going to have mmos for much longer. judge the game fully when its released imo
38:00 mad respect for Steven, that's a great studio to work for. Health insurance can be crazy expensive and don't take it for granted that a company covers you plus close family. That beats paying out of pocket about 300-400+ a month.
I’m only 33 minutes in, so this might be covered later on in the video, but so far, I think Steven is missing the main sentiment behind narcs video (assuming in good faith that it isn’t simply a grift, which Steven doesn’t, which is upsetting to see from somebody whose usually quite composed and measured and acts in good faith). And that sentiment is this: if you are selling access to an alpha for your game with prices like $250 or $100, then you should be as clear as possible about what testers should expect. Yes, they say the same talking points every video about work in progress and about how alpha isn’t a game, but a game in the making, I think we can start to approach this by answering a yes or no question. *If steven and Margaret were more precise in what testers should expect, would fewer people have spent money on an alpha test?* I think the answer to that question is, without a doubt, yes. Does narc take certain implications of that answer too far? Yes, he does. I wish his video was also more precise in its criticism. But at the end of the day we should hold the company and its representatives under a higher level of scrutiny, and if his response is to call Marc a degenerate and a grifter then I’m left not being able to trust anybody, because nobody is meeting a standard of good faith any more. Narc is right to be suspicious of companies misleading their consumers/fans. He is right to hold them to a higher standard, but he didn’t frame that position properly, at least not in his successful video. At the end of the day, we need to remember that it is fundamentally backwards and exploitative for a company to ask us to pay to do work for them. Within that framework, Steven has been as fair/consistent as we could expect somebody in an unprecedented open development phase to be, *but the framework itself is unfair*. Narc needed to hammer this home more, rather than make misleadingly bold claims about the details.
I think it's so funny that all of this falls on Asmond to fix. We truly live in the Age of The Streamer. All of these interviews have given great insight into the whole situation. |||| It's really fucced up how ONE angry guy can derail a company's work and people run with it ||||
@@emikochan13 I wish that were true, but in this age of "Content is King", drama attracts attention and malicious nonsense like Narc spewed could quickly poison the well.
@@KatoNamus This is simply untrue, Narc isn't Asmon. Narc didn't have the power to poison the well - if numerous amounts of the community didn't feel the exact same way he felt. No offense, but Steve has been shady since ArcheAge, he was pretty well known in the community for RMT, and scamming people - so it's not far fetched to believe that the guy would do it again. It's just crazy that no one bats and eye that they might be getting fleeced by this guy cause they want the game to be so good, regardless if shady practices are taken place.
@@ShadowKallig After Narc dropped that video, the explosion of comments and other youtubers coming out who claimed Ashes is a scam increased sharply. There were people who were on the fence or who have never played the game now screaming Scam. Narc is obviously not Asmond but he has a lot of subs too. His video spread like wildfire. Again this is why defamation laws exist. This is why you can go to jail for inciting panic or a riot. Information is powerful and if you purposely spread false information especially when you know the truth, people get hurt. This is not about the game being a "Bad Product" because if that was the case the game would not be popular as it is now... Lets dead that nonsense narrative for one. It had to take reaching out to another larger voice to correct the false claims put out there by Narc so for the folks carrying on about scams, bad game design just look immensely silly at this point. People are just chalking them up to be Narc Loyalist / Hardcore fans who simply are in denial about being wrong. Can you point to any info about these ArcheAge RMT, I would like to look into this topic?
To be fair Narc also chose to make a huge video and then say "and I'm changing my content to exclude what I've been making exclusively for years", a huge failure if he does this as it is an immediate cut of the audience without really any business-side reason.
The curious case of the content creator that decided to behave like a child not knowin shit about how games are truly developed and also decided to be a dramatic ass before trying to get a big picture of whats really going on or trying to clarify things.
Love that you can feel Steven's passion - hope you upload when Asmon interviewed Thor! What an amazing, crazy day this was, so glad Asmon was able to get multiple points of view all at once
@@laszloneumann500 guys like him is why 90% of content creators get no views anymore. they make some mediocre content, and then use fake accounts to push it in the top of algorithm. like asmon
He needs to have a technical specialist on standby for this stuff, because every server system has workers and services. Those have nothing to do with grid-meshing at all. I've done this for 26 years now, and I think this is where confusion comes from. Narc said that the dynamic server-meshing not integrated yet and that's something that Steven himself said a few months ago. He said that it was still undergoing lots of work and would be implemented soon, and I haven't heard him say that it had been implemented yet. Most online game and MMORPG server have management grids that most of us refer to as interest-grids that hand-off, enable, or disable anything not active in those grid boundaries. However, the server-meshing system that has been discussed isn't what he's describing in this interview. I think this same thing happens with the other stuff as I had a friend that went to the desert looking for that desert scorpion boss from the desert presentation and was bitching because he couldn't find it. I was like, "Look man, that appeared to be some kind of special raid boss or world boss experience. Surely you didn't think that was some wandering mob?" But he said he thought it was some kind of regenerating world boss that was out there for people to gather together to fight. I think this is the reason transparent development can be dangerous because some people literally need you to meticulously explain everything they see to them, in order for them to truly understand what is going on.
The thing is you can never win with the Internet, they cause give a million word description of everything and someone will find something to knit pick and complain about it's just how it is. But to the people that understand game development and how real alphas like this work understand exactly what Steven is talking about
@@Keyshawn13 Yea that's a solid point. I guess we're at a point that we can accept that this level of transparent development is really the best move. I understand the cost, timing, etc. as I've worked as a coder at companies developing massive-multiplayer solution, and it always seems impossible to tell someone that the most massively-earning crowdfunded campaigns only cover 4-6 people a year. Hopefully this occurs less frequency in the future, as I can hear and feel the frustration in Steven's voice as he snaps about things.
The fact remains... People 100% bought Ashes because they thought that the showcases were the actual state of the game that they would be playing in Alpha. That was a misrepresentation by Steven.
Narc's videos (IMO) had derailed over time into an unbalanced spiral of criticism/excitement/anger/copium etc. They were unbalanced to watch and felt like I was seeing a guy slowing becoming unhinged. I literally had to unsub from him maybe 6 months ago, for my own sanity's sake. Steven's passion and commitment to turn his AOC vision into a reality has been abundantly clear for years. Yes, he's trying to climb a massive mountain, and he'll stumble many times along the way, but man, he's determined. I'm not sure of the USA, but here in Australia we have a phrase called "Tall Poppy Syndrome", which basically means a person's success/or striving for success causes them to be attacked, resented, criticized and/or their efforts devalued by lesser people. I hope Narc gets the help he needs.
Steven absolutely cooked in this, nice to see a CEO of a company stand up and basically say "nah, fuck the bullshit lies and here's why" Good stuff cutting up each interview! Hope to see the Pirate Software chat also.
@@HalIOfFamer what he meant was that the things talked about would be completed during alpha 2 which is going to be a year long (if not longer). they are also working on other things as well and adding them for testing as well. this whole drama is just a bunch of miscommunication and misunderstanding.
@@HalIOfFamerSteven did not say all the concepts he’s mentioned for the future of each biome would be immediately in the beginning of Alpha 2. He stated specific features that would be in Alpha 2 and Narc cut clips to make it sound like Steven implied the desert would basically be feature complete at the beginning of Alpha 2 when he hasn’t at all. The devs released an actual roadmap clarifying what is expected to happen throughout each alpha and its stages. Watching past livestreams I can say Steven also very clearly clarifies almost always when he is discussing about general concepts/ideas and what is going to happen for individual updates. Narc clipped one of Steven’s general idea statements as well and put it in the Dec 20 date he used in his video for an example, when they were two completely different discussions. Idk what happened with Narc because I liked his videos a lot and I don’t even have any stake in AoC but what’s being presented is blatantly false information by NArc.
Did u work the shaft with asmon? Or did u work the balls and leave the shaft for asmon only. It's wild after all this time this is all they have for an alpha lol.
They haven’t even put the character system in yet and I have suggested that he take a more Rift approach to character design for the character design and yet he has never ever said “we don’t have character development yet but you keep harping on our design”
Man I barely even know anything about AoC and Narc video did portray this as a false bs scam, but after Steven talk and video on Asmon stream. I’m lost for words. Narcs video “to me and my opinion” was a slanderous bs click bait drama stirring bs or the dude is a complete autist unaware of his own actions. I wish Steven the best and hope he stays strong as he’s traversing this storm and stays focused. Im sure at the end of this, he will make rounds in the mmorpg genre, but he needs to stay the course. For narc, dress like a clown, act like clown, feed other clowns and you become the clown. The damage his done to himself will be remembered and you know damn well once this game comes closer to finishing and as promised, Narcs little clown ass as going to barking to get back in and pretend like he knew all along. Imo i give him 6 months or less before he jumps back on AoC as he loses his viewers etc.
Congrats on drinking the Koolaid. Narc explicitly says he doesn't think AoC is a scam. The one being dishonest is Steven and Thor and Asmon are shilling for him because they have a bested interest. The way Steven handled Narc, being so unprofessional and vindictive, turned me away from AoC forever.
Is "shugg Light" just narcs alt account or something? because the chat the entire time just screams an alt account by a mad child who's lies are being caught
Funny how in the 3h vod, Vast Majority of the comments are on Narcs side, here its Stephen glazing lol, i guess context matters from original source rather than lying Ted
This whole thing and the way Steven defended his work and the work of his team just convinced me to pull the trigger on the 250 upgrade to Braver of Worlds pledge level. I am all in once again.
This drama just made me want to play the game even more now, the world looks amazing and Steven seems genuine, glad he clarify so openly while streaming it !
Calling a game as far along as AOC is a "scam" is insane. We've seen scam games and they don't look anything like this because they don't look like anything at all. Building out a working MMO at almost any scale is an incredibly shit idea if you're trying to scam people because of how much time and money it takes.
Dude they showed scene's of supposedly created assets completed that you cannot find in game, that look 4x as good as the actual game. how can you say that's not at the minimum disengenuous.
@@smartmonkey777 I think he's confusing the game being a scam with the product, which is alpha keys, being a scam. People bought alpha keys for a product, which was shown on their videos, and were given a different product, so, yes, that is a scam. Had they shown the state of the game that alpha is currently in, then they wouldn't have gotten as many alpha key sales, but it would have not been a scam then.
Is it a scam having a product that you know is nowhere near being feature complete, you know will never be feature complete, yet selling it as if everything is going according to plan and it will be finished soon? All the while using deceptive tactics like FOMO, fake presentations and roadmaps etc.?
Money well spent on the Alpha 1 for me! Very good value for the amount of playtime I am getting out of it. I am enjoying every moment. Haven't had this much fun since WOW first came out. Keep it up! Us casuals are taking our time to savor it like a good whiskey going into maturity. We don't chug it like a cheap wine!
Yea I saw narc video and I like to retake my comment. He never mentioned it was the edge of the map etc. but his profile pic and banner is questionable. He more likely wants banter and clout. Yes, I respect Steven
Okay.. I love this game. However, I own a freehold and I wish he also said that even though yes you can plant trees, they are bugged so you only get oak wood even after planting a willow etc. Cows turn into plants when you put them into the freehold. Chickens go invisible and you can never harvest them but they take up a spot. Pigs are not yet buyable (node level) can’t test. They are in the game but nothing works as it should. Hopes that it will soon.
Of which most of these bugs will be fixed in coming days. The buyable freeholds are to test basic systems like citizenship requirements, node level requirements etc. You are not playing the game you are testing the game.
Steven is a awesome Dev and i cannot wait for this game to release its going to be so good no matter how hard they make the game and i also really like the whole social interactions with other players that we will have.
you dont know about the prices they sell this access to alpha and all the fake promises that were not there, why not tell the truth, simple answer less players would buy it.
Intrepid should have NEVER launched Phase 2 just before the holidays, they should have waited until January to launch Phase 2 when they were back in the office. This way they would not have had the exploits ruining the holidays for players.
Narc may have some points, but his arguments fall apart when you realize that this is just an alpha. A game still under development. Thats its. The way Narc is acting is as if the game is supposed to feel like an early access. Alpha =/= early access. I enjoyed Narcs videos for a long time, but Steven absolutely destroyed him in this interview. Made Narc look like a whiny baby.
Too be fair, Narc has always been a whiny baby. A very weird whiny baby. And the negative attention he is receiving will not be good for his channel in the long run. I stopped watching his videos for now.
you're completely delusional if you think Steven "destroyed" him lmfao. Narc's entire argument was based upon the poor communication from Steven and the team regarding the state of the Alpha. It was never about it being in Alpha and how much content was in the game. Steven advertised the alpha phases as having specific content that he showed off in previews yet once the phases were launched this content did not exist to the degree in which he described. This entire mess is completely self inflicted from Stephen, he chose to be heavily involved with the community and now he gets backlash for advertising a misleading state of the game. Narc was completely right in his video.
Bravo to Steven. This is how a developer should be. Passionate and honest. Just keep your head up Steven. Go through the mud and you will see sunshine in the end. I'm now 100% going to play this because of this honesty alone!
It surprises me how a person in charge of the project knows that many people woke up and see this as a scam, trying to continue with the manipulation and the promises "it's still in alpha" but hey we have the assets we just haven't shown them yet and it bothered him that a "creator" woke up
Glad you are clearing this subject up. But for people like me and my wife. We live on S.S. So I find the whole story that I have followed . does not cheer us up much. Realizing that we will never be able to afford this game. So the joy is like going up in smoke for us.
It's becoming increasingly clear that Asmongold is heavily biased when it comes to Ashes of Creation. He does everything in his power to protect the game and spin the narrative in its favor, no matter what criticisms are raised. It’s interesting to see how far he’ll go to defend it, even when the game demands exorbitant amounts of money from players just to access Alpha 2. I can’t help but wonder: would Asmongold maintain the same energy if Blizzard implemented something similar for World of Warcraft? Imagine Blizzard charging these massive sums for early access-would he defend it just as passionately? Somehow, I doubt it. His double standards are starting to show, and it’s disappointing to see him twist things so much to keep Ashes of Creation in a positive light.
any ways.. let me know when the game goes gold. For now I am done paying any attention to this game, regardless of who is right.. The fact is the game is not done and is along ways from being feature complete. From all that i have seen streamed, This game has at least 2 or so years to go. I would be surprised if it was any sooner then that.
As the old saying goes, "All PR is good PR" rings true here. Ashes of Creation's buzz was flatlining/plateau'ing as of the end of 2024. That changed dramatically this past week, starting off 2025 with AoC as thee topic amongst gamers. Whether you agree or disagree with Narc, ultimately it comes down to wanting to play AoC sooner rather than later. We know games don't grow on trees, or Bethesda & Microsoft would be planting fields of said trees. I'm hesitant to say it, but Ashes of Creation might benefit from LESS updates. Go to a quarterly (3 month) wait to do their dev updates, YT videos, and keep updating monthly via a post sharing a log of the game development's progress. Too much of a good thing can over saturate it, causing the opposite effect on a consumer than desired. Simply my two cents.
This whole video is accurate as to the downfall of many a game... ping-ponging falsities, biased view points, pre-determined narratives... and the people who make the game suffering... the internet being the internet and acting from a place of not having to deal with any repercussions...
God..i believed Narc...i did no research....i felt so dumb. Im sorry steven. I hear the passion in your voice. Also the love of your workers and community is such a good thing.
Try 6 years later if you watch streamers who stream alpha content you understand this game is nowhere near finished to deliver on all the promises they made.
ITS AN ALPHA FOR GOODNESSAKE: Is what they say But when you slap a $250 price tag on it youve got to deliver atleast $200 worth of content or youre gonna have some very disgruntled customers its noting new but the mmo genre is filled with copers who will defend it to death until it fails and crybabies who will buy into this and expect a very polished game and then theyll all go to war and I'm here to laugh at them both.
A few questions for anyone who cares to answer. 1. Steven says in the video that he put in 55 mil into the company. How much of it was from him and how much of it was from the investors and people who bought the alpha keys? 2. It sounds like funding is an issue for him. If so, why is it that he keeps growing the company while efficiency seems to be something he needs to look into first? It’s been many years. And the game seems to be very barebones. I feel like there might be an issue with efficiency, assuming it’s not a scam. 3. Also, if funding is an issue, why did he decide to mainly hire in an area that’s so much more expensive than other areas? It’s not hard to work and collaborate remotely, even internationally. It’s completely possible to get talents all around the world involved in this endeavor.
Love how even on asmongold's machine, the game patcher makes it run like dog shit and you can barely do any multitasking. It maxes out your disk at 100% and your matchine crawls. They really need to do something about it. Its not downloading the files.. its the writing the files to the disk part. I dont know what kind of error correction they are doing but its absolutely stupid what the installer does to your hard drive. This is after the files have been downloaded and the updating processes starts. correction!!! I figured out you can change the patch behavior in the settings of the launcher and reduce the number of simultaneous threads. It defaults to 3.
This all boils down to dude being upset that the game in Alpha... isnt complete, i dont even play this game nor do i know much about it but this is ridiculous, and for the amount of money MMOs take to create.. Dude way low balled it and himself, he isnt doing anything wrong by trying to gather some funding by having those 250$ packs, people arent owed a playable Alpha, that isnt the industry norm and for people with the money that want to help support the project go for it, all i hope is that it doesnt get Star Citizen level of greedy
I'm not bothered by broken systems. Even if they're rudamentary systems that should work like inventory and simply looting things in the world. But the player base has become super toxic playing the game in the most dog-eat-dog manner. Like there's a reward or a prise for having the most stuff. People griefing lower levels with no systems in place to prevent 20x level 25's ganking a level 10's caravan, regardless of the fact it's a PVP event, it's toxic and not fun. People training mobs on to other players. People taking advantage of no warmup/cooldown on guild wars to grief unsuspecting guilds killing them even in nodes while afk. Not to mention the high cost of entry to participate along with "Intrepid bucks" for referrals. The game seems like a money grab more than I've seen in a long time. But I'm glad Steven came on to reassure and resell his game to people. If you're looking for a game where you can grief and haze lowbies, this is the game for you.
funny how all the haters (including narc) moved the goalpoasts at the end, to this whole thing just being a problem because of the price. all the while, they have had refunds available for a while now, if you didn't like it, just get a refund stop being a crybaby. newsflash, none of the haters actually know this or anything about the game because they don't care or know anything about the game. they leave false and ignorant comments as if they're the truth and continue to pitchfork something else I bet
why perforce!? ugh i hated jumping from git to perforce... im glad I swapped programs and jumped back... I can't believe perforce has any cool intigration with any game engine, id imagine it would be the opposite. I think I remember it actually did handle non text assets pretty easily but it shouldn't be worth ignoring everyone knowing git or being able to google and chatgpt the shit out of git commands... Also I havent used a version of git newer than 2020 so git can probably handel assets just as well... maybe its a cost thing and perforce is cheap... maybe it can be a load thing thats better for video games because I think perfoce spent more storage holding fully fledged files while git mostly just processes file changes. so if you want to clone an obsecure branch and run the whole game locally perfoce might be better. PERFORCE RANT OVER. i never thought id see that word ever again aftter i switched jobs lolol.
There's a Star Citizen Detractor that goes by the name of Grumpyeye. He's sort of known in the community as the wet blanket because his playstyle (aka griefing) is not catered to. He wants to play the pirate and gets mad when people better then him just dumpster him in game. He gets mad that certain things are not working properly, a feature gets pushed back or some other thing he feels the miracle of coding should just fix. His arguments have always boiled down to "I am stupid but let me tell you how to code". While most SC backers have concerns over what the marketing team has been doing over the last two years. Grumpyeye has done pretty much what Narc posted in his video at least a half dozen times. So yes Narc will come back, then bitch, and then leave...as the cycle will continue. He will never give Steven a fair shake because as anything they feel entitled to having the ear of the developer.
@@smartmonkey777 What he was doing was griefing, preventing the player to complete missions. Also from what I've found out is that a lot of the crashing is GPU based although running SC on Vulkan has been far more stable over DX. So I would try Vulkan and see how that goes for you.
I understand this as a developer and I left a very clear response to Narc that you build the game underneath or on a secondary map but you pull them in because it’s going to take’s time to work in because it’s buggy or systems aren’t in place yet. Etc. My advice to to Steven is, this is why we usually have closed alpha’s and beta’s until almost the end you lift the NDA but I am assuming that Steven still needs money for this aggressively cutting edge on the engine and interaction, and the game in general is very ambitious…
This guys so pissed because a guy showed things he didn’t agree with and thought were predatory in his game. And now he’s throwing out the “sui” angle. Lol
Asmongold watching Narcs vids back then is what made him main steam, and Asmongold watching Narcs self distruction is going to replace him. 🤣 " What a joker "
It already has, which is why Sandals is having to run around like a madman putting out fires the second the NDA dropped and people can talk about the state of the game.

Even 10 years later you still have idiots like GrumpyEye and others bitching that Roberts doesn't know what he's doing. Yet in the same breath promote some AAA slop pushed out via a publisher.
startcitizen had to rewrite a whole engine client and serverside, Aoc didn't hav'e to do any of that, so wheres the story where is the arts assets, art team dosent have to wait on the back end or front end team.. there had better be hundreds of assets for the game waiting to get put in for launch..... @@smartmonkey777 Thats completely false. The game is fully playable and functionally has minor issues but I play weekly and have played consistently for months now. Doing missions, Doing mining, etc. They renamed cryeengine to starengine lol they never released server sharding or meshing and had to recall it to recode it. The new company from Canada had more exp and stopped them from doing it. They reworked the entire internal structure of the game to SQ42 focused and the PU gets the left overs so the exp sync together instead of Deving two games at the same time with diff gameplay exp. The engine was just renamed. We are 2 years into playable alpha dev with AOC, you have no clue what they will need to do to make this game playable for millions of people. It takes min of 10 years IMO to make a ready release MMO. AOC needs to hire its own jared. they need Margaret or someone other then steven to do dev deep dives etc. it'll help them control there own content for consumers
Narc was clearly being disingenuous. He built the game up in his head so much over the years that he couldn't handle it when the ALPHA wasn't what he built up in his head.
No he wasn't. Steven did a showcase of what was coming on December 20th. None of it was added. They expanded the phase 1 desert region with some baren sand dunes with random mobs sprayed across it, and added 3 copy paste nodes from the Riverlands that still have Riverlands buildings and trees.

After Narc dropped that video, the explosion of comments and other youtubers coming out who claimed Ashes is a scam increased sharply.

The curious case of the game studio that destroyed a content creator.
To be fair Narc also chose to make a huge video and then say "and I'm changing my content to exclude what I've been making exclusively for years", a huge failure if he does this as it is an immediate cut of the audience without really any business-side reason.
The content creator chose to bring this on himself.

Calling a game as far along as AOC is a "scam" is insane. We've seen scam games and they don't look anything like this because they don't look like anything at all. Building out a working MMO at almost any scale is an incredibly shit idea if you're trying to scam people because of how much time and money it takes.

@@smartmonkey777 I think he's confusing the game being a scam with the product, which is alpha keys, being a scam. No. You release the test for holidays when most people have free time to test it for you.
Why would they halt the stream of data needed from testing just because its a holiday? which will probably get them a lot of it.
Why not have people in game testing through one of the best times to play games? Come on bro use your brain.

He is and has always been
you're completely delusional if you think Steven "destroyed" him lmfao.
Narc didn't have any good points. He lied repeatedly to try and prove his negativity to all his whiny audience members.
Era of MMOS is over. Get over it. Not even a Single MMO comes to WoW and WoW is garbage game.

It's "dramatic" cause narc went after Steven personally and attacked his character. Narc was in his feelings and lashed out.
RIP Narc. I think i might play Ashes when it releases now.
So never?
There is a fundamental flaw with Narc and his community and it's the same as the creators that do horrid shock content.
any ways.. let me know when the game goes gold.
No, pvpve can be extremely fun and I’m glad he’s pointing out the truth.
This whole video is accurate as to the downfall of many a game... ping-ponging falsities, biased view points, pre-determined narratives... and the people who make the game suffering... the internet being the internet and acting from a place of not having to deal with any repercussions...

anyone have the original?
The 55 million was from Steve's own pocket
you must be young
Imagine paying $250 for this scam. I side with Narc.
Each new game has a narrative, a story that's filled with some truth and some fiction, as games development, the narrative can change
So glad Narc is gone...
That dessert looks a lot like the dessert of ro in eq2 which was one of my favorite zones for atmosphere
Idk how anyone had hope for a game that asks 250 bucks to join an alpha lmao. Never trust a startup to make an mmo
He's right about people making nothing but negative content.
The fact he seems to care, means it might not be woke. Which of course is the 1st boss of every game.
why perforce!? ugh i hated jumping from git to perforce... im glad I swapped programs and jumped back...
Asmongold cries that he doesnt get sponsorships but wonder if he got paid that would be interesting and his acting is crap so something isnt right???
Steven flying around...this game looks so good.
But yet, Asmon crapped all over Pantheon, oh the irony. With no regards to the hard working Devs and the same fact its in early access.
He likes Steven so he shills for him.
Yeah you could tell in his questioning and tone. Both very different between the two interviews.
He will never give Steven a fair shake because as anything they feel entitled to having the ear of the developer.
piracy is not griefing, and i spent 250 bucks on ships and most of the time i cant even complete a mission before the server crashes

His narcissistic ego was hurt, ofc he is pissed, he doesnt want his scam to be unveiled
People crying to show desert...when he literally made avideo showcasing the desert answering to NArc video...xDD
Good job In Asmon getting all sides, I totally almost feel for some of Narcs comments.
Thank you for doing this so I do not have to watch it on Asmond's actual stream.
Narc should be permanently banned from playing Ashes of Creation publicly now and in the future. Just like Riot perma ban toxic people from streaming League of Legends publicly
53:22 Comment in Chat sums up what only needed to be said....
From bilngding : Go! Narc knows how nodes work he was willingly misinforming people saying nothing is there, but
knowing why it's not yet present..because sheeps believed him on his word that don't know better...end quote

ashes of creation fans are just inexp when it comes to open dev. Ive been a star citizen guy since 2014 and 10 years later after mountains of drama we have a game. We can travel between two star systems, we have server meshing, we have persistence, we have ALL the things we have cried and whined about for 10 years. AOC just needs to do a better job with explaining the dev process. Hire there own jared huckabay to do monthly dev interviews, weekly dev updates, dev Q&A etc. Watching Inside Star Citizen has helped me understand more then any content creator ever could. Steven needs to control his own narrative
Also star citizen ( yes im a day on kick starter ( is still totally unplayable unless you just wanna fly around for an hour.
@@smartmonkey777 You don't need to cram all your assets into an alpha because it doesn't matter. Systems always take priority.
@@grygaming5519 GrumpyEye has zero clout lol and only get love when saltemike reviews his videos. Im not saying SC is perfect. I'm just stating AOC is entering in that phase of open development that is going to draw critics as people attempt to no life an alpha like they attempt with SC
AOC is not able to change its monitzaiton since you cant naturally graduate to game access unlike star citizen where you buy a $45 ship and can hustle up to a $800 ship irl. AOC needs to hire its own jared. they need Margaret or someone other then steven to do dev deep dives etc. it'll help them control there own content for consumers
If Narc was in The Soprano’s… well… you know.
Now, why did Asmongold not update his AOC client before this interview?
we love steven, we love AoC, spent 1k on AoC no regrets, AoC will save us all.
Man i hope this is troll and you arent coping this hard
i dropped narcs channel a gew weeks ago. Didnt like they way he communicates, and didnt agree with very many of his opinions.
Narc was right about everything, and blind Steven jock riders are just coping.
I don’t even know why Steven replied to that low level UA-cam content “creator”. He has such a small following, not even worth stevens time to be honest.
narc is the biggest Ashes creator by far
@@emikochan13 yeah, and that shows you how shakey the games foundations are, if you have 40k people thats just enough to support the game, if you lose more the game is DOA.
@ I compare to real steamers like Thor and asmongold. If you’re not pushing at least 250,000 subs you ain’t a creator.
You clearly don't understand the effect this can have in the long run. Narcs video already has tons of views, and has grabbed attention of Asmongold, one of the largest content creators on the planet. How is that not an issue?
@@One-12937why does it matter ? Narcs subs are almost 100% the target group while asmo despite being bigger has like 10% possible target audiance left
