- An impromptu Namm jam with guitar "beast" Greg Koch, Frank Gravis (on bass) and Rob "the drummer" Gottfried at the Fishman Booth in Anaheim at NAMM 2017. This piece features smatterings of unbridled skullduggery, mania and overall mayhem in general. Enjoy! Love to all

Understated virtuosity at every turn.
Wow two really great players who can shred if they want, and I love Vai etc, but show how its not always how many notes but just from the soul and enjoying playing is what counts. Thanks Greg and Jeff
Quando l'improvvisazione la fa da padroni solo dei veri maestri come loro quattro possono fornire una performance così gustosa e godibile. Bravissimi
That was sweet as awl git out ! I must admit i have been a fan of the greg kochery and his guit-fiddle since 1993 during Summerfest. I am digging the toby dylan and his skull duggeryness making harmony sit up and beg. I even traded some artwork for a cd way back when.
nice one jeff.jpj

Excellent! Reminiscent of the Humbler, Telemaster himself, Danny Gatton. Jeff, how did the Tele change your playing after the Strat had to be switched out? Thanks for taking the time to do this and share.

Hi Phil. What a compliment! Danny Gatton was such a force of nature. I had the great pleasure of hanging out with him at a show of his in NYC, many years ago, as my friend Bill Holloman was in his band at the time. To try to answer your question, I'm not sure of the influence of the Tele vs the Strat on my playing although every guitar, as well as every amp (and every day we are alive) influence our music, certainly. I guess not having a tremolo bar on a Tele tended to imfluence me to bend the neck a bit more or shake the guitar for that type of tremolo effect, for starters. I think that a Tele normally has a bit more "girth" to my ears than the Strat but again depends on the axe and the amp. Playing with an accomplished guitarist like Greg Koch surely effected me here, as I have so much respect for him as a player and also as a person. The guy has unending ideas and it's a lovely thing to be challenged when I am playing with musicians this accomplished. It makes you reach higher and go for things you normally might not. So glad you enjoyed this! Thanks for your interest and support! JP www.pevar.com
He's no Robby Coffin but.......lol. This was fricken GREAT!!
Robby Coffin's great, but he's no Greg Koch. As it should be. Both are brilliant players in their own right.
