Chantecaille is emperor’s new clothes for me, especially when it comes to the packaging. I am just looking at these weird photo collage choices like … what am I missing. They look like the customizing options for a beginner credit card. And then the balls to charge that money. I guess I respect the hustle.

As someone with Rheumatoid Arthritis, I can’t tell you how much I appreciate hearing your mom’s opinions on products and how much you point those things out
About the BalmDotCom, I like to use some of the flavors as an all over balm for my cuticles or chapped nose in the winter things like that. The old packaging was great for a multipurpose use and now it feels shoehorned into being just a lip product.
Not to mention the deodorant ingredients seeming more like a bad appetizer than a product to keep your pits dry or odour free. I feel like when you mix fat, starch, and liquid together... You get gravy.
I don't even want to think about the greasy coconut pasty potato armpits that are about to happen. Armour gravy. 🤮🤮🤮
Thank you for mentioning what RA does to your body and your mind. People don't understand how debilitating it is. I've had it since I was 11 and I've never been able to function well. Seeing new products for disabled individuals makes me happy.
I really hope the motion stability lipstick thing works. I saw a lot of people mocking it in the comments but I think it could be a great accessibility tool for people who need/want it.
I also really love that Selma Blair has been so vocal about applying makeup with a disability.
It’s so wild to me how Glossier went from a trend setting brand to a trend catch up brand. They’re clearly making the balm dot calm to compete with the summer Fridays balm now. If anything needs a painful revamp is cloud paint 😔

Yeah, I'd love to see this reviewed as well. I have a tremor in my hands and I can still do my makeup fine, but there are days when I don't dare get a mascara wand anywhere near my eyes.
there's no science backing up the idea that the regular amount of aluminum people absorb on average is dangerous at all. Now that I know that, I'm completely uninterested in "natural" deodorants, which a.) don't keep you unstinky, and b.) irritate my pits. Oh and c.) feel wet? which is gross and disconcerting lol
like the formula feels wet or your armpits are more wet bc it's not an antiperspirant? bc the second rings true to me. when I use AHAs as deodorant I smell fine but I still feel wet.
@@emilylerman9028 both! Feels wet going on, and also doesn't keep you from getting sweaty. I've still got the Dove 0% aluminum (cuz I like the pear scent) and it's a wet formula
I love the comparisons made between that Natasha Denona mint and pink palette to the 90's furniture color scheme. When you Google '90s pink and teal furniture' a Pinterest link pops up and it's a couch to match that shadow. It cracks me up 😂

Thank you for commenting on the BDC reformulation, I've seen so many on yt this week talking about the sephora launch as if it's a smart move, which sure objectively making your brand more accessible to more consumers is usually a good thing, but not when it's at the expense of your existing customer base that are very unhappy with the new HIGHLY inferior reformulations. There's been lots of talk about them more than likely planning to reformulate all of their products to be "clean" (🙄) and vegan eventually, and so many of their existing cult favorite products like BDC, boy brow, stretch concealer etc have things like beeswax in them that are one of the main reasons the product is so good.
The new BDC formula especially is apparently super thin/watery and drying according the people that have tried it, and when that's probably the most entry level product for a new buyer to the brand having their first experience be with a shitty product is probably not going to do you any favors on the attracting new customers front... I agree that this feels like Bite Beauty 2.0, which is a SHAME because for all their faults glossier makes some holy grail products of mine and I'll be sad to lose them in my collection. If they wanted to expand to new retailers going into Ulta and keeping their existing formulas instead of trying to appeal to the bs clean beauty market would have been a much smarter move imo, but alas.

Resouding YES! I feel the same about Hyrdo-grip primer. I love Milk, and had heard so much love for it... So I picked it up. It makes me look like my foundation is a mask, and it somehow also loves to highlight my dry patches? I don't like to waste so I have found myself mixing it 50/50 with the Auric Glowlust, and whhaaaaaaat a difference it made!
I absolutely love it. Primer, make up, skin care-we are all different. For me, the hydro grip primer is sooo good
Glossier seems to just be walking straight into the ocean with every move. Balm Dot Com is the one product left that I MUST have from them, and I agree that making it vegan is just going to make it less effective like the Bite 😭

8:38 Bite Beauty did this with their Agave Lip Mask. They took the lanolin out to make it vegan, and they RUINED it. Omg you just mentioned that as I was typing it!! I LOVE YOU. That mask was my Holy Grail. I bought 15 when they started putting them on sale, and I have like one left... there are some on the internet for $45... but at some point they will all be gone. I've even tried buying the new version and mixing Lanolips into it lol... not the same :(
Kackie mentioned the original creator of Bite has come out with a lip balm I'm not sure of ingredients.
I’ll be so interested to see your review of the Too Faced natural nudes! I bought it a while back to act as a workhorse everyday type palette, I wanted to love it so much but it pulls so incredibly orange on my skin I just couldn’t get it to look as flattering as I hoped it would do and the shimmers were a really mixed bag in terms of how well they performed - from ok to terrible. I feel like we have quite similar preferences in terms of eyeshadow formula so would be cool to hear your impression.
I also appreciate mentions of accessibility in products because ~*I'm disabled*~ so thank you for those! And gosh I really want that Sage pallet from Colourpop but I said I wouldn't buy CP until they stopped selling the harry potter stuff and whoops, its still being promoted on the website so *shrug*

I love the too faced pallete! I got it last summer for the same reason you mentioned. I had wrote the brand off but that set up is so pretty and effortless.
Khaki giving us the Library is open Realness. When you put your glasses on it suddenly got serious!
I think all this accessibility is great to see in the main stream, it will be interesting to see if we will see brands that can make a product just as good with an accessible price
I love your videos so much! There are a few brands on my radar right now that I'm dying to hear your thoughts on but mainly Surratt (the Dewy Foundation, primer, cheek, eyes, everything). I also keep eying the (maybe new, maybe ancient) Radiance-Perfecting Foundation from Laura Mercier, the Chanel CC Cream and any and all things peachy/apricot because that's also the color story I'm into for winter/spring.

We clearly all watch the same YTers 😂 And I just can’t imagine the formula’s any more special than something already out there 😬 it’s either gonna be lowlight like the essence pure nude or it’s going to be thin and slightly more highlighty like the nabla ones. And the el cheapo packaging just seems so unnecessary.

I always thought the dinky applicators makeup products often have were useless to everyone, until scrolling through reviews of a bunch of makeup on Amazon where the most consistent complaints were that a product didn’t have/had removed the applicators. It seems like there are a lot of people who just buy, say, a blush, use it up with the included brush, and are ready for a fresh new one when they repurchase.
Omg I just did a cool fuschia burgundy eye and now I am tearing up. Thank you for covering accessibility! My arthritic hands & poor vision are really a struggle these days, will be watching for the reviews tho, lol, can't say I trust loreal to be ADA leaders !!

I have that Too Faced Natural Nudes. The shades are warm, even though some of them look cool. Shimmers are best wet or with finger/over a tacky base. That being said, I love it way more than the Patrick Ta. It blends itself and is easy to use.
Speaking from experience, MOST companies may not reveal the actual rationale for making a formulation change. Sometimes it's inevitable; supplier relationships, raw material shortages. No intel to point to in this case, but just wanted to flag this reality. Your eye look here is 💣!!!
If you place an order from Flower, you HAVE to try the Jet Set setting powder. It's a powder in an aerosolized can, it's so weird, but it leaves the prettiest finish on the skin. You also need to try the Nabla powders, they make incredible blushes & bronzers, heir highlights are nice too, but if you're not a highlight bee than skip it. I also want to hear your opinion on the new Liquid Lurex from Lisa Eldridge in Cressida, I recently discovered it's not my thing, but I think you would love it.

I’ve been mixing patchouli and Bergamote by le labo as my “signature” fragrance, but I have wanted something that still is interesting and more floral for spring/summer. That replika perfume sounds right on the money for what I’m looking for. Floral, woody and warm but not in a fall/winter way. I’ll have to give it a sniff when it’s out.
Thank you for the heads up! I just ordered 3 back ups of the Balm Dot Com. I recently had an epiphany. I will no longer pay their crazy town prices for mediocre makeup. At least Sisley and Cle De Peau create amazing eyeshadows. And, by volume they’re less expensive.😊

I am looking forward to your opinion about the Too Faced Natural Nudes palette. I got it because it looked like the perfect every day palette. The matts I use all the time but the shimmers are too dry and chunky for my taste. Curious if that's just me though.

I was excited for Glossier coming to Sephora so I could get my Balm Dotcom easier… it was the only thing I kept buying from Glossier and I agree I think this is a really bad decision! I bet it’s going to suck lol
quite literally just left sephora and smelled that replica fragrance and it smells DIVINE !
Chantecaille is $$ but I love their shadows- and they last all day for me. their tinted moisturizer is the best- strongly recommend you try. I will get the spring palette- looks just lovely
I'm wondering if Glossier going into Sephora will mean we will finally get it in Australia since they won't ship directly to us.
Now I'm wondering if Glossier is reformulating to fit into the Clean @ Sephora section. Maybe veganization was part of the business deal? Like, Sephora won't let you sit at their table until you lose the lanolin?

The bobbi brown vitamin enriched face base is the only primer ive found that pairs really well with the mario foundation.
the bottom mauve LH blush duo looks gorgeous to me; I'm surprised that one doesn't peek your interest. how similar to Fleurtatious do you think it is? I think Fleurtatious has a similar mucky-ness to it but it has more brown in it to make it more skin-native.
I would love a full face if NARS I know you try some of there new stuff but would love a review on the sheer glow foundation and the creamy concealer.

Ha! I think I’m in the very small target audience for their deodorant. I’m just not that sweaty/stinky (like almost any deodorant is fine and I skip it altogether some days) and I LOVE the scent of body hero. Like I bought the candle and everything! Glossier is a company I have complicated love/judgment for… but I’m also over here loving the newest lip color releases! And wearing wowder and lash slick. Even when their products aren’t my favorite version (didn’t love cloud paints) at the end of the day their aesthetic is really similar to how I wear makeup 🤷🏻♀️
I bought the Natural Nudes palette after I saw a video of Lisa Eldridge using it, and it was a GREAT impulse buy decision!

My undertones are so pink that Charlet Tillburry's pillow talk lipstick it a yellow nude on me. So I'm always confused when she makes pillowtalk things that are more/darker pink.

About the Glossier Deodorant ……Coconut Oil is natural Antimicrobial which used in combo with other ingredients is a solution for smell control in natural deodorants 😁
I would love to see a review of the Johnny Concert palettes on Credo Beauty. I feel like I can never find any good reviews of those. Apparently they can be used wet or dry. The Wild Bloom Amplified palette always catches my eye.

Too Faced is such a frustrating brand because they’ve shown they’re capable of creating really beautiful, high performing products and they just…choose not to consistently do so. I have their all matte palette and it’s my favorite matte formula. They’re creamy, perfect level of pigment and practically blend themselves out. My sister has the Born This Way palette, and while it’s a beautiful color story it’s just not even in the same league. You use it and you’re like “yep, that’s eyeshadow”. The shimmers aren’t anything special, the mattes aren’t creamy and the darker colors can get pretty stampy. Not worth the price tag, especially for a brand you can usually find at Marshall’s/TJ Maxx.
The only fun things about TF are Lip Injections lipglosses (well they *were* fun but now they don’t even tingle. I think I developed a tolerance. They don’t even hv cool colors tbh I look like i may be wearing EOS) & their holiday schtick is the best of the bestest of the holiday releases!!) n.B. I destashed half my TF collex today. Regrettably I can’t resist a pumpkin spice anything esp a liquid lipstick or an eggnog scented eyeshadow. I want the TF perfume *blind buy* so bad, but I need to finish my other perfumes 1st im kinda bored by my real perfumes i want a über bath&bodyworks haul for Feb 14th. Sales ….. yay!! 🎉 my bday is soon so I’ll ask for TF perfume from fam.
Why did Glossier screw with the Balm Dot Com ? I was so glad they are now at Sephora so I won’t have to make special orders cuz I order them 3 at a time. Now I’m afraid I won’t like them.
