    You are amazing! I bought your full program and I tell everyone it’s necessary to get before you’re TKR. It was priceless!!

    Insurance paid for mine. I was skeptical at first but it has helped me immensely with acute pain. I was very pleasantly surprised.

    I am 1 month post op RKR. Just received this device and plan to use it. Having a ton of pain and swelling the past few days! ROM is 115 which isn't too bad, can ride a stationary bike and go up a flight of stairs like normal. Pain with PT is awful. Don't remember it this bad with LKR 2 years ago. Took myself off all meds a week ago due to stomach issues and how awful they made me feel.

      Are you kidding? I have had many surgeries and TKR was by far the most painful recovery.

    My quad is not active I think is because I had bad knees for many years prior my first TKR I’m 6 weeks post op my therapist put the machine at the clinic before twice and I didn’t have any problems today he did it again I believe maybe he went to aggressive or not idea but I almost passed out I got nauseated and ended up puking
    I’m going to order this for me
    Thanks for all your advices your videos are so helpful for many of us
    Thanks Dr Samantha

      Oh goodness. I am so sorry. I have seen thousands of patients and never once have I made anyone get to the point where they feel sick because of pain or discomfort. Your therapy should not be like that. It’s okay for the quad to be weak. It’ll be weak for many many months. There’s no need to rush the process. And especially no need to cause you misery at PT. I would really recommend having my Post Surgery Course to help you through this. Www.Succeedcourses.Com/post-surgery-course

    I’ve been using a TENS unit for several injuries and now for my TKR, my pads have been placed laterally vs. diagonally. I’m using it in pulse mode, is this giving me the same benefits as your demonstration or should I the pads diagonally? Thanks for your advice, this is my TKR go to site!

      @dr.samanthasmith  Рік тому +1

      TENS specifically is diagonal. Pulse is okay lateral!

    But... does TENS actually reduce pain? If so, what is the physiological mechanism that explains this? Thank you for encouraging patients to read the operating manual for this and other devices. It's amazing how many people never do that!

    • @dr.samanthasmith

      The tens activates the alpha motor neurons which interrupts the pain signal. It’s called the gate theory
