My mind was blown when you mentioned in your Q&A video that you had a cooking channel! I watched several videos and it's surprisingly entertaining. I like your unpretentious cooking style. I hope this channel gets more attention. It reminds me of Robbaz' "Cooking with the Kock" episodes.
Hi Clint I'm a huge fan from Singapore and I've watched all your video. This is actually a very popular local dish and one of our towns called Katong has alleyways full of shops selling laksa, all claiming to be the original Singapore laksa. Normally we would eat this with prawns, taupok (beancurd skin) thinly sliced fish cake, boiled bean sprouts and a hard boiled egg (halved). (it could be a vegan dish If you do not add in the fish cake or the prawn sauce because it's basically just egg and vegetable) If you ever want to redo this video in the later future, these are the ingredients you could consider adding.
@@moonbladem Maybe you should rather. I dunno if it's just poor phrasing or a slip of tongue, but the OP said the laksa can be made a vegan dish if you exclude the seafood, since it's just eggs and vegetables, the former of which is obviously not vegan. Again, I dunno if the OP meant vegetarian, or somehow doesn't know what vegan means, but the way they phrased it does make it sound like they mean it's vegan if you had the egg.
yeah, those games were all kinds of terrible lol but it was funny having Clint talk crap about them, and as far as I'm aware that video marked the first time he had to censor himself.
Omg I never thought I'd see instant noodles from home on this channel! This brand's noodles are legit the closest thing to freshly made laksa, Singaporeans studying overseas stock up whenever they're back here lol. There's actually another version of laksa from Malaysia - the Penang laksa which has an added sour tang from assam. Your version looks delicious. What we add locally: mung bean sprouts, fried tofu puffs, finely diced laksa leaves (Persicaria odorata), surimi fish cakes/fish balls and shelled cockles. Would definitely recommend trying to get laksa leaves from an asian grocery, imo absolutely elevates the taste of the broth. Love ur vids, happy cooking :)
I watch your other channel but my wife and I really enjoy watching these video's, great job! This show is easily as good as many of the cooking shows we watch on network TV.
Ahh, I love watching stuff like this. It's so interesting to see how other people cook, considering I am a cook myself! Homemade/rustic foods cannot be beat!
I watched this when you posted it in April. I just watched it again, to remind me of just how friggin awesome this looks. I'm coming over for lunch one day ok? My mouth is watering...
I would actually watch a cooking TV show if you were on it. These videos are so laid back and casual but crazy entertaining. I'm pretty sure I'd have fun watching you do mundane, day to day activities.
My favorite thing to add to any noodle are wasabi peas. I usually ad them with the noodles at the start so they soften but you can add them at the end for crunch. It gives a little spice and taste great.
Ha, glad to see you went with the Laksa noodles mate! I like your choice of additions. I'm now damn hungry and seriously miffed that I don't have any in my pantry right now. Enjoy!
Of all the things LGR Foods, this one is my favorite. But instead of the lettuce, i like putting spinach in. I would have never known this was so good without first seeing this.
The bowl-wiping, man, the bowl-wiping! I was eating Ramen with added spring onions, mushrooms, roasted sesame oil, light soy sauce and so on while i was watching this. ;)
I gave it a try exactly as Clint described(except the supermarket shrimp)and it's very good. the sauce is thick and rich in seafood flavor. very savory
I came her from your Q&a video to check it out. I agree with most others, fun and without any pretensions. After watching several (sandwich videos) I do wonder why you hart has not blown up.
After coming across these noodles in a Strictly Dumpling video over a year ago, I was dying to pick some up but failed to locate them even though I live in the place that has it all (NYC). Put some more elbow grease into the search because I didn't want to give in to spending almost $6 on one pack on Amazon and found them! Suuuuper excited to try some during lunch at work. Love your video!
You should seriously make a series like your thrifring series, but where you go shopping for groceries like these for your meals! I don't even think it would be boring when you're the one doing it xD
I found out about this through that short little Q&A video you did and it's very nice, a bit more of a casual kind of of cocking thing to watch. But of course you had to do noodles with shrimp for the first episode since I joined holy crap I love noodles and shrimp and now I'm super hungry but I'm poor so all I can do is eat toast.
La Mian (Lah Mien) means “pulled noodles” in mandarin. It is also similar to ramen(ramen=la mian). If u ever visit Singapore, be prepared to enjoy laksa here. It’s so good.
My fav food, actually its comfort food for us in South East Asia. I rarely buy instant, due I make them myself (and the gravy that usually make is from fish) and noodles is made from rice. There is a lot of types of Laksa, you should try them all.
Could you use the hodo Thai Curry Nuggets? I wanted to try fried bean curd and fish cakes, but couldn't find either. I did make one pack exactly as your instructed in this video and it came out great. Thanks
"Basil, because... it's good." agreed.

It seems like it's just stuff that HE likes to eat rather than actual recipes, which is fun. It gives his videos a more personal touch.
This comment makes me want Clint to construct a giant sandwich shaped like a boat.
i would say his food channel has a more fitting name that the other one!
Well it is actually very fitting for Robbaz since he is Swedish. Kock = cook in Swedish.
Why do I always watch these things when I'm starving and have no food at home?... sigh..
LGR is on a roll this week, thanks for all these videos this week!
"on a roll" Is that some kind of sandwich pun?

how the hell is egg vegan????????????
@@chloedevereaux1801 put in a vegan egg of course
@chloe devereaux where in his post does he say "egg vegan"? He doesn't. Not once, and I read it three times. Maybe you should get your eyes checked.

I chuckled at the bowl wipe. love pretty much everything you do Clint
The bowl wipe was so good 😂
sped-up peanut hammering sounds were extremely satisfying
in general lgr foods is extremely satisfying. thank you for making these
My favourite noodles by far. The prawns and the 5 spice really do enhance it.

I love these videos, because this is exactly how I do lunch and about 1/3 of my dinners.
This stuff is SOOO GOOD. Legit taste like restaurant cooked noodles.
Great video, and great channel. Shows that cooking tasty and good looking food can be quite simple.
I watch your other channel but my wife and I really enjoy watching these video's, great job! This show is easily as good as many of the cooking shows we watch on network TV.

These videos are brilliant!
There is something about this...that reminds me of Food Network or PBS in the early-mid 90's. Love it lol

I never knew LGR Foods even existed. Thats awesome!
As someone who goes by Shrimp, I felt odd watching this :P Looks delicious as always, I'm glad I ate before I watched
Could you use the hodo Thai Curry Nuggets? I wanted to try fried bean curd and fish cakes, but couldn't find either. I did make one pack exactly as your instructed in this video and it came out great. Thanks
