Thanks for the review! I just finished our first game with my two daughters, ages 8 and 12, and they really loved it. I didn’t feel like the downtime was an issue, since we all talked about strategy, and how best to mitigate the damage of the bad cards. The first few times there was a huge reversal of fortune, it was definitely demoralizing, but after a few times it did become part of the fabric of the decision making.
Was on the fence about this one however.. simple mechanics in a fun mixture seems to be a winner in my book. Also solitaire play is my thing. Great channel by the way love your commentary and reviews. Just recently discovered it last week!
The key to games like Eldritch Horror working is the humor in the events and other random card draws (curses, etc). I can't tell if this game is funny or not. I might wait for the Living (Martyred?) Card Game version.

Your overview and explanation of game mechanics are much appreciated. Thank you.

I hope to get this to the table sometime this summer.
