The “E44” is a identifier patch that you put on your helmet as a firefighter when you’re assigned to that engine

E44 is the marker for the helmets or jackets and stands for “Engine 44”

Love all you trucks. Got my first "Adult" job and saving to get myself a nice GMC.
Those patches are for the firefighters that are one duty that day so if they go to a structure fire and have to go interior they have a chart for the “ic” and they put those on a velcro board to show who is there and working on that incident
As a crew cab OBS owner myself, you can never have only just one of them. Someday I'll add another in my fleet.

One of the guys I work for here in Kentucky where I live has a Honda one that’s right hand drive and it’s spotless.
Those patches are so you can tag into your truck. I was a volunteer here in Oregon for a few years, and we had placards with our name, we gave one to go on the the officers clipboard, and would put one of those on our lid. This just identifies us as being assigned to that engine.
DAMN! I hope I’m the LUCKY WINNER! I was in the process of buying a CLEAN 07 LBZ from the original owner with low miles. I meet up with them, agreed on a price and I was SO EXCITED! The day before I was to go pick it up with cash in hand the owner calls and says…Never mind I CHANGED my MIND! I thought I DIED because my HEART STOPPED & fell out of my CHEST! WORST DAY EVER! E44 means engine 44. So when on a big call with multiple engines, the individual running the scene will have a board with who all is on scene so thoaes patches are used
E44 stands for Engine 44. Those Velcro patches usually go on the helmet shield so other firefighters know what engine or truck your on while on incidents in full gear.

Those patches are for the firefighters on the truck. They put one on their helmet or inside the turnout jacket, or move it to the Velcro strips on the driver door step if it has them. For my dads department they have metal tags with names on them and have 2 each, and move it to the Velcro on the driver door step for whatever truck he’s on that day or 12 hours. So that they can identify what time their truck arrived on scene and have an estimate of how long they’re in a building in case they find a firefighter down. And because it’s easier to figure out who’s working and find what truck the rookies on so you can make them clean everything in the station 😂

You should put an exhaust brake on the crew cab obs so you can use the engine to brake going down steep grades.
E44 is as others have stated. However I did not see the mention of accountability tags. When a fire fighter goes into a structure they hand that tag to someone with a velcro board. When they come out they get it back. This way you know if everyone that went in came back out.

In the fire truck if you use chemical guys VRP on the fake wood grain it’ll look 10x better! We have a 97 freightliner road tractor and it helped so much in the fake wood grain!

The badges are Engine 44, probably used for truck equipment or hoses after they've been washed and dried out so they go back to the right truck.
The E44 patches are for jackets and helmets and it stands for engine 44
