Arizona beige metallic… my old 6.0 2005 fx4 xlt loved it did a nice 4” lift steering stabilizer 22x12 on 35 open country deleted and tuned 5” axle dump with 8” tip wonderful truck that damn oil cooler is a major fail point not to mention gotta stud it
I put a ton of money in my 6.0, and it still has its "blonde' moments. Love the truck, they are just a high maintenance diesel. Head studs, and keeping the oil clean.

It’s super easy when you know what you’re doing or have a good mechanic. It’s a one and done thing
@@michaelgreen4838luck of the draw, just sold mine due to some unexpected life changes but 280k miles factory head bolts, I beat the ever living piss out of that thing on a hot tune. 2 min long burnouts, 270+ degree coolant temps and oil temps multiple times, egts pegged at 1600 for minutes at a time… you get it, never had an issue other than my converter becoming a glitter bomb

My mechanic sucked, and Im not much of a diesel mechanic. So I have a few hiccups in the build. Im working on it.
@@expeditionrc8747 take your time man nothing wrong with figuring it out yourself, biggest things is use OEM seals and gaskets for as many things as you can and don’t brute force things if you don’t have to
I used to bag mulch at my old job, started out with a funnel and 5 guys 2 on top loading one holding the bag and one sealing and one running around it was SLOW AS HELL!! But then we got a machine that is awesome as hell for bagging just about anything, its called a rotor chopper go bagger. Need 2-3 guys one to run the skid steer to load the hopper and fork lift to move pallets and one to run the filler and sealer and one guy to stack. We went from barely doing 10-15 pallets a day to 30+ pallets a day. Sadly they only make the small one now not the big one.
As I build my 93 chevy z71 I feel your pain. The time and parts are adding up.

Absolutely superb work on that sub grade in the restaurant. Nothing beats seeing competent craftsmanship, even if it's just pouring dirt in a hole.

Nothing beats the mirrors like Papa Ryno had on his 4500. I love the mirrors on my 5500 dump truck they make the mirrors on my super duty mirrors seems small.
I do quite a bit of concrete form work, and the sand bag trick is definitely my new trick.
Jump turns were one of my fav and most used skills in a hoe. I had to learn in a JD 470. Jump turns are great in my professions if you are on lease or location that’s matted with swamp mats or rig mats. Good if your on soft ground, good if you’re on graded ground. I can’t think of any times I would turn more than a couple degrees and not do a jump turn.
A 6.0 Powerstroke going into limp mode. That could be a lot of problems but most like one of a few things.
1. Clogged oil cooler..... If there's a, I think, 20° delta difference between oil temp and coolant temp the truck will go into limp mode.
Solution: external oil cooler or removing clean the factory cooler.
2. The truck is over boosting because it's not getting enough fuel or turbo is dirty.
Definitely glad you went with the Super Duty mirrors on this one they look great 👍👍
2008-2012 mirrors seem to look the best on those trucks

Not sure if you already have a way to monitor temperatures besides the dash, but I would recommend getting a digital monitor like the edge insight. That way you can know real time with the temperatures are because if it gets too hot, you can start melting some plastic in there specifically in the oil filter housing. You may also be able to backflush that Oil Cooler with compressed air and water if it’s not too far gone or too old. There’s a few companies now that sell backslash adapters. Could save you some time if you need the truck to work.

Just bought my other 6.0 in march did the egr upgrades new oil cooler and all that use a quality cooler I put a oem one in it
Since you tow every day with your 6.0 get a sinister diesel cooler and a mishimoto aluminum rad and that should help a lot on keeping cool
I was gonna say, fords of this era generally all had the same wiring harness regardless of package. It makes it easy to add stuff like power locks, windows, mirrors, etc that it didn’t come with.
wanna know a rad way to do house foundations on the beach? first you over excavate the lot, then when you bring the sand back in track it with a mixture of concrete glue and water, then when you dig your trenches they are perfectly square it cuts like butter. ;) Up here in north county watchin.

I like the modern upgrade mirrors for GM as well as Ford , the older tow mirrors are not aesthetically pleasing . Nice upgrade Ryan👍🏽
Once you get the cooling issues and everything sorted on the 6.0 you should put some banks performance parts as well as a 64 mm Ryan’s diesel service turbo on it

Look into bullet proof diesel. Did wonders for my 6.0. Still sold it but it at least ran when it did go.

Personally out of all the tow mears out there now, the moose mirrors is my favorite ones.
I think you should check this company out. Maybe see if they can quote you on a Pole barn to build to keep your track during their equipment clean and dry.

Man I feel the whole 6.0 problem I had my Suburban 1500 tow my 10000lbs gross weight and it did not enjoy stopping but hauling it was fine

The factory 6L mirrors are terrible, I went to the 08 up style and such an improvement.

I know you have addressed this question before about getting a different/bigger bucket for the mini ex but have you looked at fb marketplace for used buckets? I’ve found several in good shape for less than half the price of new.
