What a cool surprise. Nice interview and info. I grew up watching Simon and Philip Rhee. In Best of The Best 3, Philip Rhee found himself in a deep southern prejudice town and doing battle with some real bad dudes
What a legend ! Master Simon Rhee is an inspiration and what a beautiful story of 2 brothers that worked together and never gave up on their dreams. Thank you for best of the best. GOD bless them 🙏
1:12:45 Wow! Phillip Rhee's working on BEST OF THE BEST 5, its written and ready to go! Viking please make a separate video with these Simon's words about the project so people could know the sequel is coming
What a legend! Very insightful questions! Brian “The Beast really knows his stuff!” Seems like such a great dude bro! Hope you guys meet up before you leave and have a little quid pro quo for the fans in preparation for the fight on March 9th in Atlantic City! Such an epic and energetic week. I had a client scheduled and missed the first interview, alas, I have more compelling questions for “Round Two”! Train Hard Brother Viking! 🇺🇸🚁🙌🏻💯🥋
Best of the Best is one of my favorites , and the Rhee brothers is why . Their fight scene is one of the best exchanges of kicks ever put on film. Love that theres always grappling involved , paying tribute to their Hapkido roots .
Oh my F’n goodness. Simon F’n Rhee. Unbelievable V.S.. Best Of The Best is arguably my number one favorite movie AND martial arts movie OF ALL TIME. But Best Of The Best part 2, along with Trainspotting 2 were the greatest sequels ever made of ANY movie, that actually superseded the first parts, in my opinion. Bro, I absolutely love Phillip and Simon. I hope you get to interview Phillip at some point bro.
What a great interview. I'm only 3 minutes in. I'm gonna have to watch later this evening. Thank you for this Dave bro. Keep up the great work. And all my best for Saturday. I wish you all the success brother🙏👊💥‼️🥷
Wow! Simon Rhee. Talk about an interview I never thought I needed. This was great. You sure deliver the goods VS. Also, good luck on your fight! You got this.
I hope you could one day interview Britton Lee from "Ironheart" which was supposed to be his breakthrough into stardom. I don't know if he has worked in the industry since. He was presented as Korean in the movie and was basically showcasing hapkido and TKD in the semi-obscure movie. I wonder if the Rhees ever interacted with him.
Watching now had to pause. This is awesome. Huge fan of the Rhee brothers. Best of the best will always be my all-time favorite movie. I used to mimic the last fight scene with my brother all the time . Was how I fell in love with martial arts. there are many amazing fight scenes throughout movie history. But there is no fight ever that is as beautiful as Tommy Lee versus DeHaan. . Because their brothers in real life their timing is perfect. The emotion one has while watching that compares to nothing else in cinema... The Vibe of this video makes me feel I'm right there. As soon as Simon was talking about his one-liner in best of the best two I immediately knew what he was talking about and was shouting out Hoouston😅 out loud. .. good luck on the fight 💯💪
This was a great interview. Back to basics of the channel and I love it. Addition of Brian to this channel was a wonderful thing also. Good luck with the fight.
Excellent video Viking samurai the legend Simon rhee keep up the good work brother. And where can I watch your movies and fight on 3/9. Good luck man on your fight.
Great stuff.. BOTB definitely helped fuel my love and desire to be a martial artist. Just thinking about that final scene gets me emotional. I watched it on a plane one time and lost it.
Man I wish I would’ve been on the live Q&A. Great podcast I’m honored to be a part of the Jun Chong, Philip and Simon Rhee -System. ❤ Master Chong Bought the dojo from Chuck Norris and the dojo ended up being in the karate Kid series.
Excellent this man legends who deserved even better during their legendary young days good times 89 best of the best legendary martial arts films based on the Korean martial arts systems of fighting great time to be young well done again
i was 13-14 when the movie came out and all the boys said that i looked like him. i'd had no idea about the movie and that's how i was introduced to The Best of The Best. Rhee says that VD was really good because he has good controls 🤩 anyone else is going to argue with that? haters, anyone? AJ? fantastic interview and i feel goosebumps all over 🙏
Him and his brother are legit as fuck awesome skills... The turtle ship was not invented in the 1600s it was used during the Imjin war. The Imjin War was 1592-1598 the turtle ship and the admiral was the only thing that could take on Japan and win. The admiral was removed from his command but was later reinstated. Japan eventually withdrawaled from Korea with the help of the Chinese adding in the fight.
Shocking stories about Seagal ... not. It's almost like Seagal has earned his reputation as a douchebag, verified by numerous independent sources. Simon Rhee & his brother Phillip, on the other hand, cool dudes, the movie of theirs' that I'd like to see a nice blu ray release of would be Ninja Turf/L.A. Streetfighters, not exactly Oscar worthy but a fun, low budget movie with lots of impressive martial arts action (including from Jun Chong, James Lew, the Rhee brothers & Bill Superfoot Wallace).
@Brandon-up7sg "So you’re saying no one in the world has the same surname who aren’t related?…come on surely you’re not that dumb" Did Intelligence come here to die? You are pretty dumb yourself by making things up I said that I never said.

Will any of the original cast be in Best of the Best 5? HoSik Pak, Eric Roberts, Simon Rhee? Etc.
Best of the best, was one of my favorite movies from childhood. Simon had so fluid kicks, it set him apart from the others.
Another amazing interview! Simon Rhee is so cool.
And what a scoop Best Of The Best 5 coming! 😮
I really hope Eric Roberts is back in it?
Best of the Best... very good movie!!! ... Phillip and Simon Rhee very underrated but they're both phenomenal martial artists....

Something so strong driving me on, never tire.
They said that you'd expire...you're wasting your time to try.
This was a great interview. Back to basics of the channel and I love it. Addition of Brian to this channel was a wonderful thing also. Good luck with the fight.
Like your questions on this one. I was curious about Eric Roberts background and who trained him.
Simon has one of the greatest highlight reels I’ve ever seen. Whose career was greater Phillip’s or Simon’s?
Excellent video Viking samurai the legend Simon rhee keep up the good work brother. And where can I watch your movies and fight on 3/9. Good luck man on your fight.

Why is his name Rhee if he's not the son of Jhoon Rhee?
Really?
Wondering the same myself 😂😂
@Brandon-up7sg I'm just asking a simple question as i and many other thought he was his son.
@Brandon-up7sg "So you’re saying no one in the world has the same surname who aren’t related?…come on surely you’re not that dumb"
Did Intelligence come here to die? You are pretty dumb yourself by making things up I said that I never said.
It's so bloody obvious
