This, and the other Sonic 2 ALT tracks you made doesn't sound like it would be played on a Genesis, especially with the reverb on the drums. It seems like an attempt to make it sound retro. Additionally, some of the mixing could use some improvement. However, the melody is catchy. While there are some areas that could be improved, overall, the music is very good.
i was totally aware that this may not be possible on an actual genesis during production, but i kinda tried. the reverb on the drums is the fault of my current music making software. I could get reverb off everything but the drums, unfortunately. you're the first to finally notice outside of my group that also uses what i use. retro...
as of about 5 months ago, my daw finally updated to the point where i can get that reverb off of the drums cool also i think my mixing has somewhat improved but subjectivity moment
Can you remove the reverb in the intro in like an alternate version please? sorry if im being annoying i just really like keeping things console accurate
