I was browsing Sonic Retro and I found this hack, along with others, it seemed the hardest one out of the batch I downloaded. After a while of playing, I decided to make a TAS of it. This is my first official TAS run because I used slowdowns and save states. This is just a test TAS and it has mistakes and it can also be improved by a lot. Please note, on the second boss fight, there will be a lot of noise because sonic will constantly hitting the boss on two occasions, please lower the sound during the fight.
Noticeable mistakes
In act one, I get hit by lightning and lose nearly a second of time. In Act two, I made a mistake somewhere, I think I looped, not sure though. In the final act, I took the scenic route since I thought it would be more entertaining to watch.

Act 3 actually looks really cool. It's like taking the end sequence of Sonic 2 and turning it into a whole level while making it 10 times more stressful

Fun Fact:
This Sonic can run Sonic 2's maximum level size in 20 seconds.
I think it's mostly because of the level design, and also because of Sonic's new abilities

Even in the modern day this is some of the most tight classic sonic controls that exist, and this is _after_ sega reintroduced the drop dash which functionally acts like the dive kick attack... however it isn't cancellable and you lose acceleration before using it so _even then_

the speed meter, the sprites, the UI, and the assets make this game possibly one of the most kickass and badass sonic hacks ive ever seen

I've seen so many Sonic hacks use Megaman X music to fill their niche incredibly well, and this one is no exception.

Act 2 is def Blast Hornet's theme from X3. The victory music (at stage clear) is the boss fanfare music from X5 or X6 (memory's hazy). Act 3's music is High Max's theme from X6.

If you want to play those games for the music alone, they play very early on. In fact, I think Grabbag is the title theme for DN3D, though I'm not entirely sure as I've never played it.

I love how this actually uses sonic’s full speed on classic games, the last act is something i would love to see in modern games.
Closest thing we got is terminal velocity act 3 from sonic colors, and while fun, that was a destined to lose level
nowhere close to his full speed, if it was nobody would be able to play the game
He actually breaks the speed cap from the classic games in this one.
I'm just wondering what the story would be for this game. Especially with the eerie undertones. "Sonic Survived" in bloody text. WTF HAPPENED.

how? the first 2 levels were eazy expect the boss in level 2 took 23 tries or smtn and the final stage you just try to learn a path by going the same way over and over until you are able to do it

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if the creator/s of this had a hand in a kaizo game or two...

Act 3 feels like a creepypasta woah-
The music is great and the boss fights look good, but the levels are far too linear. I like the idea of burning rings to do moves like double jumps and divekicks, which might explain why there's so many of them, and act 3's fire quickly drains your rings if you get close enough, something the ramps and loops actually FORCE. So there's a reason for the multitude. Also love the life bars on the boss.
