Actually the reason it’s dipping is because he’s over driving the gun cause he’s use to driving the rubber made glocks and sigs. I did the same thing when I first got into the higher end 2011 market. All you have to do it pull the trigger. And the gun will shoot itself and shoot flat. No need to drive the 2011’s like a plastic framed pistol.
I have a ported Atlas Athena and an Erebus. I can’t argue with the Atlas philosophy, by far my favorite brand, but I don’t agree with it when it comes to EDC. I live in Florida where it’s nothing but T-shirts and polos and it’s just too big for me to carry. I carry a Wilson SFX 93.25 inch barrel 15+1. If you’re going to carry a small gun, and you have the opportunity, you should practice with it a lot. From concealed and on a timer. I shoot it all the time outdoors on paper and steel and within 25-30 feet its pick an eyeball. At 25 yards its center mass on a hostage plate consistently. Not so great at 50 yards plus. I’m okay with that. 😊
I too am in Florida. And am in lightweight clothing almost 100% of the time. I got to shoot an SFX9 recently at my range. At 25 yards that tiny pistol shot as accurately as my tricked out Staccato C2. I was sold on it after one mag.
There are now so many finely designed, engineered, and manufactured double-stack 9mm 1911s that it's all but impossible to decide on good, better, and best. Seems they all run at a high level.
At a certain level, you will find that most perform very well and it really just boils down to preference. There are some that dont feel as nice, but they seem to be fewer and fewer between
You mentioned 2 reasons why someone would buy a 7k EDC but you neglected to mention the most compelling reason: FAD. Firearm Acquisition Disorder from which I am a chronic sufferer. I have pistols from Atlas, Vudoo, Wilson, Stacatto, Ed Brown, and Nighthawk almost all purchased at Modern Warriors. The store is bad for my budget but if you are looking for something special, they probably have it in stock AND the staff is very knowledgeable. Ask for Mason to assist you. He is a true enthusiast!
You are not alone! I suffer from this extremely debilitating disease as well...1st step in recovery is realizing you couldn't care less about recovering! 🤣
I have an Atlas Athena, and I had an aerospace machinist friend of mine cut the V comp, exactly like the EOS has. He was able to do this, as he has an Eos. Let me tell you. Get the Eos or the Athena ported, they shoot identical. If you think you can save money, go ahead. I have many ported/comped guns. They dont hold a candle to the Atlas guns. So as a test, I just this last week got a Shadow Systems Xr920p, factory gun, fucking AWSOME!. But not in the same league as the Atlas comped guns. Just my opinion....... If you cant do an Atlas, get the Shadow Systems. They will send you a new gun for free if you gun gets confiscated by LE if you get into a justified shoot. Cant beet that!
I carry a staccato c2 appendix iwb everyday all day and I’m a mechanic. Never hear anyone touch on this but sweat will rust your safety to the point that flipping it back on with the thumb is not happening. The beaver tail will also beat the crap out of your stomach. There will be blood unless you sit behind a desk for a living. Hard to say 2011s make the best carry guns in my opinion. Fantastic shooters and accurate but at speed I shoot my glock just as well. Just food for thought gentleman. Not that anyone asked 😂
makes total sense...I have a few carry pistols as well, Springfield 3" EMP is my preferred. The gun will wear quite quick just by simply carrying it. I have gone through multiple sets of grip screws because the one closest to my skin rusts out pretty fast. Recently grabbed a stainless steel set to install to see if they will last longer....very good point that i don't know if people think about until they realize what is happening to the pistol from just having it on you all day

Could be. Both he and i shoot a lot of plastic framed pistols!
Great video. I love my EOS from modern warriors !!
What holster are you running with it?

That is some great in site

Who ported your Athena?
I'd like to maybe get mine ported as well.
Beautiful weapon for that kind of money. I need my slide to lock back on a empty mag every time reliable.
They do offer mags that will lock them back every time.

What holster(s) will work with it?

haha that is a very valid reason. Thank you for the kind words and support

I have 4 Atlas pistols and love each one but just feel the Staccato CS is about as big as you want to go for a legit carry pistol.
You can carry anything you set your mind to. I still have a Nokia phone for shits n giggles
How much shorter would you say that grip is compared to a Nyx or other Atlas grips?
i dont believe its really any shorter, it just doesn't have the flared magwell which makes it look smaller.
Need the atlas ares vs the EOS review

great insight!

Does the EOS use a toolless guide rod?
Yes it does
Should be the beard and bracelet channel.
Is there shipping to Iraq?
no....
@@modernwarriorsut Are there people shipping to Iraq or is this illegal?
Nice gun, but I feel the Staccato CS is a more realiable and just as accurate gun
Staccatos are great for what they are!
The cs is nice but it’s not the same as the atlas EOS bro. The staccato cs is more snappier.
It takes ALOT of work for a staccato to shoot remotely close to an atlas. Speaking from personal experience.
