@@davidstratton696 I just looked it up, and of the first 4 NXT Champions {those being Seth Rollins, Big E Langston, Bo Dallas, and Adrian Neville) Neville had the longest reign until he was beaten by Sami. He held that record until it was eventually beaten by Finn Balor's first reign, whose record was then beaten by Adam Cole's first reign.
@@TooTrueHeart So yea Sami does have 3 under his belt when it comes to ending longest title runs (even tho one was surpassed since then he still broke it). Sami is the record breaker 😂. What a legend.
He was clearly protecting Gunther. It literally still looked amazing and it was awesome to see since he hasn’t used it in a very long time. Did they seriously expect him to legit drop Gunther’s head on the turnbuckle? Like c’mon people. He did it in a way to protect Gunther while still looking good.
I will give them a little credit for one thing -- the Brain Buster looks kind of like a botch when it's done _right_ considering how nasty it is. It's like a Buckle Bomb only _worse._ (Though yes, Sami's completely in control of the move so when I say 'worse' I know it's just that it fools me into looking like instant death. Which I respect.) I went on a rant about how I hated WWE 2K24 having moves in the game "that no one in management would _ever_ allow anyone to give, or take" -- and I stood by that when someone pointed out it _was_ his El Generico 'super finisher'. Well I clearly have egg on my face for that, but at least he really _did_ use it as a Super Finisher.
@@cypher515 I mean 2k24 isn’t the only one that has moves that u can use that irl management wouldn’t allow (2k19, 2k20, and 2k22 all had quite a few and I’m sure more of the games do). Personally I don’t see the problem. I mean the moves are there if u want to use them. U don’t have to use them if u don’t want to. And even if u do games and irl are 2 different things.
i think all of can agree that no matter how you felt about this match going into it, wether you thought sami couldn’t do it or maybe that he shouldn’t do it, by the end we all rejoiced as the man we ALL love conquered the biggest mountain in his career.
Um, am I mistaken but I thought the brain buster was on WWEs list of banned moves because of the possibility of doing real head and neck damage. Not that I'm not happy Sammy won, I'd just hate for Gunther to have a reason to cry foul.
@@jx2dy actually I didn't, I haven't watched the whole event only the UA-cam highlights. Though come to think of it I have seen many comments about it now being pro wrestling again. And if it's true that sports entertainment is dead and pro wrestling is back, then Hunter is a genius.
@@jx2dy damn, bout time. Sports entertainment was great been a fan of every major wrestling organization and a few minor in the past 40 years. But SE got old so I stopped watching Almost completely, dropped Peacock and everything. But he'll I may have to jump on board again.
Sami is known as the “longest reign breaker”
Not for long
Or Cody.
well actually
We're going to learn that Ivan Koloff was actually a time-traveling Sami Zayn
@@romanvillegas7280He still beats Cody since Cody only has 1 win over longest title run while Sami has 2.
Sami has had one of the most monumental comebacks I’ve ever seen in wrestling
WrestleMania 39: Sami Zayn ends The Usos long tag team title reign
WrestleMania XL: Sami Zayn ends Gunther's long IC title reign
sami the goat. And he does it wrestlemania after wrestlemania
And nevile nxt reign
@@SambhavKukrejaWas Neville the longest running one up to that point? If so that’s 3 for Sami which is indeed crazy!!!

I know!! I thought they must be thinking it was a knee drop brain buster or to the floor maybe 😅😅
Daze has a habit of not knowing what the hell he's looking at.

The WrestleTalk crew have a stake in the claim of legitimate commentary
Dan could definitely have been a wrestling commentator, man. He's so articulate with his thoughts.
