Really like your tutorial, it's nice to hear someone genuinley doing a helpful setup and not showboating. Haven't been on GT for a while and am hitting the track again using your setup guide, many thanx and keep em comin !!
You really deserve credit for doing this, you explain very thoroughly what every thing is for and how it affects (effects, whatever) the car. Thanks for your help :).
I never took it that way. You were being very considerate with your critisizim and I thank you for comment. Any tips I get from other users always benefits me.
Well thank you very much. I'm glad you got some use out of it. I need to do an updated tutorial on tunes, I've found some really great adjustments that make a big difference in handling. Thanks again and thanks for watching.
Yes Sir, I did shortly after posting this video and you are absolutely right. I couldn't believe the difference once I hit the right settings. I'm still working with it and I'm sure it can get better, I just haven't found the best combination yet. Thanks for comment
Thank you again for the great comments, it makes a guy feel pretty good when he knows he has helped someone. As far as the suspension you can raise the spring rate setting even more but that works better with a better grade of tire.
Thank you for your comment. You are right, since I made this video I have changed my tuning quite a bit. I've found that by raising the rear spring tension and lowering the rear toe I can now corner much faster without the use of TC making my times much faster. As you stated all cars are different so some tweaking will need to be performed when using another car. This was just a place to start tuning and I thank you again for your input.
Your right about that. Now you get in to the torque settings etc which I'm not real familiar with. My tune just gets you started but lots of tweaking may still need to be done. Thanks for the comment.
Thank you very much, sir. These settings worked great for me since i start using them. The 5th and 6th gears (in a 6th gears car) is not easy to fix, but other than that, it's really great! Thanks!
@xXirEXoTiCXx Your welcome, I've also noticed that by turning up the camber to around 2.0 front and 1.8 rear has also made a better difference. Thanks for watcing
@AlexStan337 Sorry for delay. Its actually a '69' Camaro I bought at the Cheverlot dealer then took it to the shop and performed a Racing Modification to it. I think after that it might have become a Premium car. thanks for wathcing.
I think I understand what you mean and the only reason I can think of as to why you can't change a setting is because that particular item hasn't been purchased. When you buy a car go to the tune shop and buy all the available parts. Once you get to the tuning section you should be able to make changes. Let me know if this works.
First off I use the racing hard tire then I will put full downforce on the front and just barely add any to the rear. This will make the car turn better. If you start to get loose then add alittle more DF to the rear. After a few laps you will start to lose speed just like in real life so your speeds will drop assuming the tires are not set to unlimited. I've found that going to the minus side of the camber, especially on the rear will also help in turning. Hope this works for you
@Supersteps Your quite welcome. This will get you started but one tune will not work for all cars so you may have to tweak settings to get what you are looking for. Thanks again and good luck.
@HawkeyeDrifter I've been racing the la festa cavillino races in the seasonal events. De la sarthe pays 504,000 credits for 1 lap and under 4 minutes to race it. I have 1009 cars and very few new ones appear so I started to buy repeat cars just to spend the money. Thanks for watching
lol, thanks for the comment. I've been flying for several years now and actually took some lessos for awhile, got to expensive. I also have the G-25 racing wheel for GT-5, its lots of fun to. Thanks again
@NinjaWee I haven't messed with that setting much but I do know this. Without it you spin one of your tires when accelerating out of corners. Coming out of a corner turning to the left will light up the left tire. Turning to the right and accelerating hard will let the right tire break loose and spin. Which ever tire has the least amount of weight on it will slip. I'm sure there is a good setting for the LSD, I just don't know what it is.
@DDFergy1 Your right, I mentioned in a post that increasing the camber on the front to 2.0 to 2.3 will help. A tune is like a women, good for some, not so good for others. I figure its what you get used to and your driving style. I was just hoping to give some direction for those who didn't know what to do. Thanks for the additional tuning tips, I'll give them a try and thanks for watching.
@CosmologicaI Thank you very much for the great comment. I'm glad you got some use out of it. Its not the best but hopefully it will get you started in the right direction. Everybody has a different style of driving so what works for one might not be good for another. If I can help on any other questions feel free to ask, thank you again.
@cylilil I know there are some cars that certain tunes cannot be purchased but I'm not sure about the one you have. Most generally you can upgrade just about anything unless its a Race version car and they mostly have everything already installed. I buy the car your talking about and will see if I have the option to upgrade, I'll get back with you.
I find increasing front camber to at least -2 helps if lots of corners with -1 camber in the rear for applying power down coming out. If the car under steers like the Enzo reduce the front Anti-roll bar and spring rate to improve grip of your front. If over steer then decrease anti-roll bar in rear and or decrease spring rate. You can balance the steering by balancing the car too but this adds weight. Lowering the car height needs to increasing damping as you state in the video.
That particular car does get wobblely at higher speeds. I've found by shifting the wt ratio closer to a 50-50 distribution helps. When you add wt the car will be heavier but you can also increase the PP/HP to compensate for what you lost. I now play with the LSD settings. For powerful cars I will set to 8-12-15 but change them until you find the one that works best for the car you are using. Hope this helps.
I think I only have 2 or 3 on tunes and I need to add another one, I've made lots of changes since these were posted. The main thing is to lower the susp, tighten the springs, raise the camber up to around 2.5 frt and 1.5 rear. Lower the rear toe to the minus side if your cars rear end is sliding out with you. I've also found if you go to the drivetrain area you can raise the 1st setting to 12, lower the next two, 30 and 10, at least it works for me.
Excellent, glad to hear that. I will do another video soon with an update to my tune up which has a little more detail and actually works much better. Thank for watching and thank you for the great comment.
@Supersteps Thank you for the great comment, remember this, one tune is not good for all cars so you will have to adjust different settings and test it. Good luck
Not having the updates is a very good possibility but in the past if I didn't purchase a particular item that could be adjusted it would be grayed out. As soon as I bought the upgrade I could adjust it. I would suggest updating as soon as you can.
You must adjust the top speed using the final gear, if you use the TP selector you will lose the settings for each gear and will have to start over, test it and see. You set the top speed first depending on whether you want more top end torque or low end torque. Adjust slider to the right for low torque, set to the left for top end torque. Believe me I've tried them all and it works. If top speed is not what you want go for low end torque, move slider to the right. Test different settings out.
If you can tune a car for drag racing your better then me. To help in the corners you can raise the rear downforce, tighten the rear springs and lower the rear toe to the minus side if need be. 've gone as much as -20 on the rear toe and it does help. Lower the dampers by 1 click and the roll bar as well. Thats what I do and it workks for me.
In my opinion the manuel trany is much better especially when corning. You'll be be surprised how well it will slow you down coming to a corner without using the brakes. I also like it because you can mash the gas a little longer and once again in my opinion you can get a little better top end out of each gear before shifting. The automatic changes to soon for me.
Well thank you very much for the great comment. I hope its helpful to you. That should get you headed in the right direction and then some tweaking here and there. I also have a tutorial on how to maintain the maximum hp when lowering the performance points. Thanks again
@cambiechan Actually the settings are basically the same as I described. The only diference is the trany, lower the 1st 3 gears then start adjusting the last 4 untill you reach the pattern you want. I have another video with the settings I used for this race, check it out and good luck.
@thepolk1 I appreciate that buddy and yes I am using the Logitech G25 racing wheel. I'll be posting another video soon explainging some more tips on the tune up. Thanks again.
Thank you and I'm glad it helped. Everybody has there own driving style so what works for me may not work for you. This video was intended to get you in the ballbark with some minor tweaking needed. Thanks again and thanks for watching.
Nice job on the vid and the car is looking awesome Ill be useing this tutorial on my muscle cars. Just my opinion but I do think the spring rate and dampers help but only on bumpier tracks. They control how fast the suspension returns to its original possision after running over a bump.
I certainly appreciate that great comment.I hope you got some good out of it and if you have any questions feel free to ask and I'll do my best to answer it for you.
@jamesgod3 I didn't use all the PP simply because I smoked them with 513. At full power it wasn't even a challenge. I prefer to try and make a race out of it instead of a BBQ.
Absolutely, look and see what my PSN is and send me a ADD A FRIEND REQUEST. I have 3 PSN's and don't remember which one I was using for that video. I'll tell you what car to use and if you don't have it I'll give it to you if possible. Not all cars can be gifted but if worse comes to worse I'll post it to my shared cars and you can borrow it already tuned and ready to go.
Will be lookin you up on the PSN if ok, lookin for some serious drivers who drive sensible and fast, tried out this setup on my Camero and it worked a treat, also on my Challenger. Great base to work from, just need to refine it to my style ( ex F1 pilot ) from UK. Used to a more stiff setup so any suspension tips would be great, also if I find any magic numbers myself will happily forward them on.
I have some other tutorials on tuning that go in to detail on the gears and how to tune and get the max HP. I can't post the links here, it won't let me. I've actually done a little more on my tunes since then, learning how to use the LSD. I have the G25 and believe me, once you get used to it you'll love it so if its in your budget by all means get the wheel. Your buddy should be able to tune since he set them up on the other versions. Any questions just ask and I'll do my best to help.
The only way I can get it is to buy the car with that paint option which is the TVR. Go to the dealership then TVR, pick the car and paint and its yours. Other than that I've never won it or seen it anywhere else.
@HawkeyeDrifter I'm like you, real close to having them all. I still need the '70 chaparral and a $15 mil Lambo in the New Dealership, I hate to part with $15 Mil, lol. According to what I've heard there are1080 cars so I'm still aways off and like you said, it takes forever for new GOOD cars to appear. Just a note, on the camber setting, I've increased it to 1.8 to 2.0 on the front and it seems better. Thanks man, take care
Ask whatever you want, it don't bother me at all buddy. As far as I know when you get a car and tune it then add it to your favorites or go to career mode or online the tune should be there. The only thing you'll need to do is change the top speed for different tracks. Make sure you change the top speed by using the final gear and not the top speed adjustment.
@SuperMrCODfreak I thought this car was at the used car dealership, you can buy the '69 camaro in the chevrolet dealership then take it to the GT Auto and have Racing Modification done to it and then it will look like the one I used. Sorry bout buddy, good luck.
Go to the Seasonal races then to the online #4 series. Race Nurburgring with a super GT car and win $1 million every 6 1/2 minutes. It adds up pretty quick.
quick question: I have a Lamorghini Mercielago 640 LP and it gets a little wild near the 4th and 5th gears. I tried tuning my own transmition and it's alright but I just dont know enough about cars to make it peak. I'm gonna try the transmition set up you showed in this video, but what would you suggest? Also, should I do anything with the weight of the chassey?
Usually if you can't paint the car you won't be able to change the wheels either. Like I said, as far as I know you cannot paint ANY of the rally cars or the others mentioned. I would suggest getting in the car of your choice and try to paint it or change the wheels. The racing modification works the same way, there are only 17 cars that can be modified as far as I know. I have a video on that if you want to check it out. Thanks for watching and good luck.
@66lwmorgan Yeah, I've been doing that race a lot as well. My only problem is that I don't like waiting for the high-value cars to show up in the used car lot. I have 3 or 4 of the 3-4million credit cars left, and then there are the two Chaparrals... Congrats if you have them all.

I used the "63" Corvette Race Car for this race and kicked there butts fairly easy. Let me know if you have it and if so I'll post my tune for it. If you don't have it I'll give it to you if I can otherwise I'll post online for you to borrow.
Thank you, everybody has there own driving style, what works for me might not be good for you. I was just trying to get you in the ballpark. Thanks for watching and thanks for the comment.
Do u know how to set the car up so your tires last longer. I've seen guys last from stock set up:12 laps and some guys can last 20 to 25 laps on daytona. And there both using racing hard tires
I have another video showing you how to maintain the maximum HP when the PP is limited. YT won't let me post the link to this page but look for the one that mentions maintaining the maximum HP. It really does work when you have to lower your PP but keep the most HP you can. Check it out
@xXirEXoTiCXx When drag racing the gearing has to be different. I don't drag race but you'll need to lower the 1st two gears as well. Its more or less how quick you want to shift the gears. Lowering the gears will get you to your next gear quicker and with me its just play by ear thing. Try lowering the gears untill your satisfied with it. There is NO perfect tune-up, its all about what your comfortable with. Thanks for watching and good luck.
how do i get the older race cars?69 and older? i have looked in the used cars and never anything and i went to the online dealer and nothing? thanks if you can help
@nataslider I was hoping I could get a response from you mentioning that my tune up wasn't as bad as you thought. I won't say I smoked you in our challenge but I think you'll agree I did win with no problem. Drag racing and Drifiting, no compitition you win hands down. It was fun racing with you.
Really like your tutorial, it's nice to hear someone genuinley doing a helpful setup and not showboating. Haven't been on GT for a while and am hitting the track again using your setup guide, many thanx and keep em comin !!

These settings were extremely helpful, and you're really nice. You answer like every comment and give everyone great advice. You sir, are awesome :D.
Thanks for doing this, it's still useful all these years later.
@@9ElevenGamer Unbelievable, thank you for letting me know.
I never took it that way. You were being very considerate with your critisizim and I thank you for comment. Any tips I get from other users always benefits me.
I love you! I always wanted these settings explained to me, but could never find a video but know I finally did! Thank you!!!
Well thank you very much. I'm glad you got some use out of it. I need to do an updated tutorial on tunes, I've found some really great adjustments that make a big difference in handling. Thanks again and thanks for watching.
LOL, excellent, I'm glad I could help someone out. If you have any further questions please feel free to ask.
Good, glad I could help you out and thanks for watching.

Thank you very much, I'll be doing another one real soon with more detail. Thanks again, I appreciate it.
Thanks man your setup is great. I applied your setup to my Dodge Viper Team Oreca, and it runs great! Good balance of speed and cornering!
Thanks!

@21MrMOM I bought the TVR's and that particular color was one of my choices. I then took the Camaro to the paint shop and painted it that color.
Yea it helped alot. I'm getting 17 to 18 laps now when I was only getting about 13 not to mention I'm making faster lap times to. Thanks for your help
@NinjaWee I haven't messed with that setting much but I do know this. Without it you spin one of your tires when accelerating out of corners. @ssengine1885 Your probably right, maybe i need to tinker with the springs a little, thanks for the advice.
That particular car does get wobblely at higher speeds. I've found by shifting the wt ratio closer to a 50-50 distribution helps. When you add wt the car will be heavier but you can also increase the PP/HP to compensate for what you lost. I now play with the LSD settings. You never know what color you'll get until you buy it but you can always go in and repaint it if you want.
dude loving the hell outa that engine, great set up
I just did the Leguna Enduro with this car using settings from my friend Leonidae over on GTP. Works like a boss.
@Supersteps Thank you for the great comment, remember this, one tune is not good for all cars so you will have to adjust different settings and test it. Good luck
LOL, Thank you Sir, if you ever have any questions feel free to ask and I'll do my best to help you out. Thanks for subbing man, I appreciate that.

I did some adjustments , it goes now 0-100 km/h in 3.2 sec and top speed of 345 km/h , perfect car now in corners .
I have some other tutorials on tuning that go in to detail on the gears and how to tune and get the max HP. I can't post the links here, it won't let me. I noticed toe angle helps with rear drives that spin out alot. Set it higher and it spins out less i find.

@buklao559 Your welcome, thanks for watching
thank you for the information , great help in tuning .
Thanks for great comment, its the PS3. Will do
nice helped alot thanks. Are you using a wheel?
@SweatyGremlins Thank you, I'll be posting another one in the near future
Go to the Seasonal races then to the online #4 series. Race Nurburgring with a super GT car and win $1 million every 6 1/2 minutes. It adds up pretty quick.
66lwmorgan, where can i find your newer gt5 setups, i subscibed to ur channel but cant see any videos ??
quick question: I have a Lamorghini Mercielago 640 LP and it gets a little wild near the 4th and 5th gears. I tried tuning my own transmition and it's alright but I just dont know enough about cars to make it peak. I'm gonna try the transmition set up you showed in this video, but what would you suggest? Also, should I do anything with the weight of the chassey?
@mrAlphavilla Thank you, I appreciate it
@BONECRUSHER231 Your absolutely right, the inside view of the standard car in my opinion is a waste of time.
@xXirEXoTiCXx Explain exactly what you are doing to burn out and I'll try to help you.
I'm 61 and still finding better setups. I'll do a video on my latest tunes in the near future.
Ty sow much bro this is the best tune for skyline 2001 R32
Tom Ben Zaken Thank you Tom, glad it helped you out and thanks for watching.
But what about AWD/FWD or RWD or FWD cars? Isn't there supposed to be differences as to the proper setup?

Thank you, everybody has there own driving style, what works for me might not be good for you. I was just trying to get you in the ballpark. Thanks for watching and thanks for the comment.
Great Tutorial, Suzuka was always a real bitch but followed your advice and walked it! Thanks again.

@K1LL3DBYU Thank you very much, hope it helps and thanks for watching.
Do u know how to set the car up so your tires last longer. I've seen guys last from stock set up:12 laps and some guys can last 20 to 25 laps on daytona. And there both using racing hard tires
Thanks, glad it works for you
How bout the honda trans setting or integra???
I have another video showing you how to maintain the maximum HP when the PP is limited. YT won't let me post the link to this page but look for the one that mentions maintaining the maximum HP. It really does work when you have to lower your PP but keep the most HP you can. Check it out
I got aevo 9 and i need the gears tuned for drag racing
