It's not fair to your subscribers to post such a poor tutorial. If you don't really know what you're doing, don't post anything. 1. The 350Z drifts far better on Confort M tires when using a stock engine. Sports tires have far too much grip to sustain a decent drift with the 350's low stock boost. 2. You got the susp. kit but didn't tune the camber/toe angles, spring rates, or dampers properly to help keep your car at the perfect drifting angle. You don't want your car as low to the ground as you can get. 3. If you're making a drift tutorial... show just that. Nobody is concerned with your personal choice of aesthetics. 4. You need to install a differential so you can boost the accel. and torque sensitivity so that you get more spin on the tail of your car. You won't need more power if this is done. I know I sound critical but if your in the business of informing others you should have the information yourself. I hope this helps.
Man, if there was one thing I hated about GT5's multiplayer, it was the fact that almost nobody seemed to know how to corner. They'd just hold down 'x' like good little boys and go flying off the track. Of course there were always a few good drivers who knew better that'd make it interesting.
Dude thanks so much for the great help on how to tune and set, I greatly appreciate the help. Once I started drifting the NSX my drifting went 3x better then before. Always been a just basic racing since the first GT.
Of course there is! Under 'Drivetrain' you buy the 'Torque distributing centre differential' and go 10% up front and 90% torque for the rear axel.. Another great tip - Get the racing ECU and other upgrades that increases the engine rev. limit. Especially if you want to drift something weak like the Mazda RX-7, but sideway a Mustang Mach 1 in this game and you'll mainly need the superchager :) And of course are double-plated clutches essential for quick-shifts + the customizable transmission.
You can get it from the 4WD event. The lower gear ratio in rally creates an amazing amount of acceleration around corners, and it's suprisingly good at drifting with those close ratios.
I've found that the Comfort: Hard tires are the best for drifting out of the box if you're good enough at keeping it in control. Then filter, oil (new or used, always oil), and suspension.
After ive been drifting for about a year i think if you have average power the most important upgrades if you dont want to drift with a lot of power are the drivetrain upgrades because they make the engine able to rev more freely ^^
on the tire situation what i do is for RWD cars i put sport medium on the front and comfort sofft on back having the crappier tire on back will make the car slide easier
The car was quite grippy because of the sports hards. I would recommend Comfort Hard-Medium, those tires will teach you to control your throttle input and your gear changes.
@tafo01 with a controller you get assisted even when you put everything of, check it when youre drifting by looking behind. then you will see the frontwheels turn in the other directio,. when drifting a steering wheel you dont get assisted.
what you can try is to buy a fully customisable LSD, then set the front to the lowest, (i think it's 10) and put the rear to the max (60) this will give the rear wheels more acceleration than the front. It still won't be as good as a rear wheel drive car but with some practice you can do some nice drifts.
just wondering, do more dealers unlock when you level up? i'm level 23 a-spec level 5 b-spec. and when i was a-spec level 20 i counted only 216 cars in all of the dealerships like used and online dealership too.
Thanks a lot!! ...i was tryna learn how to drift on GT 5 cause its pretty much effortless on Forza!! lol idk if you still play but im fairly new 2 PS3 and i do have that 79 GTi... still want it??
Another great car is a Suzuki cappuccino. Super light car, good enough horsepower once tuned, great cornering, and amazingly cheap. The thing hugs corners in circuit races and in drifting this thing has great control and feel
The premium Silvia is amazing to drift. You should really try it with Comfort Medium it is perfect with a little tuning! ______________________ What car do you use?
Do You use G25 or GTDF for this video? If Yes can You make a video tutoring please! I want to learn some tip and idk how to drift too Sorry bad english :(
Good car and tuning, but you should try with comfort hard/medium/soft, they are the best drifting tires. And do the oil, even with new cars, it online costs 250 cr, and gives you 1-100 BHP.
whats wrong with sports hard? comfort hard is worse when you come out from a corner and try to adjust the car. some cars seem better with comfort but not on the 350z
@MidnightClubGamR Roxio makes something called the Gamecap. It doesn't record in excellent HD like the Hauppauge, but it does work, and its under $100.
I always wanted to know this: does anyone know the one of the two songs that plays in the race menu before a race/liscense test/event? its the one with the piano and the kids. what is it called???
tip on the best way to make over 1,000,000 credits a race: go under Seasonal Events, look for the 430PP race and race at Cape Ring, buy a Honda Insight (premium) buy parts so it is at about 354PP (i believe, give or take 1 or 2 PP, i forgot the exact #). win the race and originally at 430PP you get about 180,000 credits, with the Insight in 1st place at aprox 354PP you will win around 1,175,000 credits in one race. eliminates the stress of not enough credits.
@zydang2 Its called a capture card / HD PVR! Mines called a Hauppauge HD PVR (one of the most well known brands). They do run for about 300$ though. Hope that helped :)
@devastator85 Car comes with an LSD, and he's doing this on a budget. Did you watch the video? I don't think so. It's for newbie drifters trying to get started. The FIRST thing they want to do is mess around with numbers that don't make sense to them. Right?
This is a good setup, but I feel the car hoping a bit on the bumps, and it's a setup for handbrake drift, not the braking drift like I'm used to, since it's a 350z, you can power over with it if your a beginner so the title is well said, but for someone more advanced, some suspension tuning will really help you to drift it more.
I used a completely stock 300ZX. Comfort tires. Power on oversteer is great. I got 16000 points sector mode on grand valley without using handbrake or clutch kick.
how do you add racing mods on your car im trying to do them on my rx7 type r spirit but it says you cant , so i was wondering which cars can you add racing mods onto a car
@Kent133 I do with one of my BMW's. Its spins out funny with comforts. I have 1 or 2 other cars I use sports tires on too but usually, with anything above comfort, I cant get the stupid (extreme) entry's I like to do and it will whip back straight when I try to weight shift.
i need some help pls. i bought this nissan but when i want to buy tuning parts it says that i can't fit that part to my car, and i see that you can. how can i solve this problem? all the tuning parts except chasis reinforcement and tires have the little exclamation point "!" . i am lvl 19 A-Spec
yes i can drift a bit but it is really annoying because of the strong nonadjustable force feedback but i haven't used it in a long time because i have been playing forza 4 but i plan on selling it and getting a fanatec they are really good and you can put on drift mode which reduces the force feedback and allows for the wheel to move fast, but as much as i know it is that the wheel does not move fast enough ;)
@xXAPPLEGUYXx Lawl. No, the actual letter is said like zed, in some other English country would pronounce it as zed, such as Britain, or Canada, Americans just changed the way of saying it for some reason. (I'm American)
Wouldnt it be good to use sports medium because the sport hard make it slide. If you get sports hard use the weight reduction on the body and the windows. And use stage 1, 2 , and 3 on the weight reduction. The weight off the car makes u slide if its to heavy.
in extreme series im at 21lvl and i play only offline idont want to update my ps3 due to multiman purpose 3.55 so what i wanna say is which car i needed to beat all championships in extremeseries
@streetpunk83 i hated the s15. i just couldnt set iy up properly. Now i am trying to setup and rx7. it seems much better. i just changed the gear ratios, negative camber on the front wheels and its all good. Hgh speed drifts are awsome in that car, just need to work on the low speed drifts couse its very touchy on 2 gear corners
No. Even when you buy a brand new car you still change the oil. It increases the horse power and pp on any car, some cars get quite a significant hp upgrade.
It's not fair to your subscribers to post such a poor tutorial. If you don't really know what you're doing, don't post anything.

Well it doesn't say drift tutorial, it says "How to Tune a Cheap Drift Car"
Man, if there was one thing I hated about GT5's multiplayer, it was the fact that almost nobody seemed to know how to corner. They'd just hold down 'x' like good little boys and go flying off the track. Of course there were always a few good drivers who knew better that'd make it interesting.
Vengeful Spirit I thumb'd up your comment because of your picture.
***** FlCl ftw! :D
I have a bunch of drift cars. one of them being a black m3 gtr. Tune it for a stiffer rear and a softer front.
How many still playing this game! I just started
This guy had no idea what is drift car. Go do your homework....
lol
I recommend having the XL version or the latest update, so you can buy most parts except for the body and engine tuning during the race.
"The cheapest car in my opinion"
How can this possibly be an opinion?
Doesn't matter what transmission you use , you helped me ALOT! thank YOU!!!
Dude thanks so much for the great help on how to tune and set, I greatly appreciate the help. Once I started drifting the NSX my drifting went 3x better then before. Always been a just basic racing since the first GT.

Jesus whole time you were in there modifying your car looks i kept saying "GET A FRIGGIN OIL CHANGE!" It's the essential basic.
The most important tune for a drifting spec car, is the Limited slip Differential. 1-way, 1,5-way, or 2-way depending on your driving preference.
@reesenicastro not really, you can change the button config. to make it to where L1 or R1 arent used at all
After ive been drifting for about a year i think if you have average power the most important upgrades if you dont want to drift with a lot of power are the drivetrain upgrades because they make the engine able to rev more freely ^^

What method did you use to drift? Did you tap e-brake and then floor it? Which is better? Doing that or redlining it?
thanks, for the tutorial!
I can finally drift! :D
It's actually Tsu-kuba, in spelling, not typing. And im not offending this guy, he did this awesome!
How do you get the CIEN Concept '02 ?
An what's the best way to tune a Volvo C30 R-Design '09 for drifting?
the chassis repair in GT auto goes up in price the more you damage your car (or just gradually wear the chassis from much racing) so yes.
@GoldenBadges I use all tires except racing, depending on the vehicle. usually I use Comfort hard though.
what you can try is to buy a fully customisable LSD, then set the front to the lowest, (i think it's 10) and put the rear to the max (60) this will give the rear wheels more acceleration than the front. It still won't be as good as a rear wheel drive car but with some practice you can do some nice drifts.
Cheapest car that drifts like a dream is MR2 G-limited supercharger '86. Doesnt have much HP but it does drift when you slap some parts to it
Does the rims selection used to change around before all the updates? Cos I'm always getting the same ones, depending on the car..
just wondering, do more dealers unlock when you level up? i'm level 23 a-spec level 5 b-spec.
and when i was a-spec level 20 i counted only 216 cars in all of the dealerships like used and online dealership too.

What about the wheel alignment? Like camber, caster, toe, etc.
your voice looks like SAM broadcaster opening voice '-' nice video it helped me a lot!
@sskittl3z Well, you don't exactly put emphasis on it, but it does alter the way you pronounce the S sound.
Are you going to do a video about the 2.0 spec update?
how do you record your videos from gran turismo 5 or how do you put them on youtube cuz I'm trying to upload some videos
The interactive transcript is hilarious!
The premium Silvia is amazing to drift. You should really try it with Comfort Medium it is perfect with a little tuning!

How do you record this video? I have to put a camera on one of those cheap tri-pods to record my videos, please respond :D
what is much harder to steer with ? a steering wheel or a dualshock 3 ?
2 question how do u record the gameplay
and when do u unlock the bugatti
whats wrong with sports hard? comfort hard is worse when you come out from a corner and try to adjust the car. some cars seem better with comfort but not on the 350z
i use the front spring rate to
front:all the way to the left. rear:all the way to the right
@MidnightClubGamR Roxio makes something called the Gamecap. It doesn't record in excellent HD like the Hauppauge, but it does work, and its under $100.
I have a video request. How do you tune a car for good cornering? please make a video if you haven't yet!
nice video dude!!! oh and it doesn't matter if you have a 240hp or 500hp car if you are a good drifter you can drift with any rwd awd car you want
Is It Possible to change the Toe, camber, spring high, acceleration deceleration from the axle?
Love this video!! I find Humor out of this its great thanks for the upload for the entertainment factor! :D
dont know what recorder/exporter your using but this vid in HD looks like im playing the game o___o NICE!

how does b spec suck your money out? you dont get much for it on the lower levels but it doesnt take your money away does it?
How do you get that UI? Do you install the 8GB thing at the beginning?
@devastator85 Car comes with an LSD, and he's doing this on a budget. Did you watch the video? I don't think so. It's for newbie drifters trying to get started. The FIRST thing they want to do is mess around with numbers that don't make sense to them. Right?

could u make a '' how to tandem'' video, cuz im really struggling with that, and thx for the tune btw, my fairlady drifts great
how do you add racing mods on your car im trying to do them on my rx7 type r spirit but it says you cant , so i was wondering which cars can you add racing mods onto a car
what u render this with n whats ur recording equipment.
@Kent133 I do with one of my BMW's. Its spins out funny with comforts. I have 1 or 2 other cars I use sports tires on too but usually, with anything above comfort, I cant get the stupid (extreme) entry's I like to do and it will whip back straight when I try to weight shift.
Comfort hard of course, if you want you can use the mediums or softs.
i need some help pls. i bought this nissan but when i want to buy tuning parts it says that i can't fit that part to my car, and i see that you can. how can i solve this problem? all the tuning parts except chasis reinforcement and tires have the little exclamation point "!" . i am lvl 19 A-Spec
Yoo broo, do you know a good setup for the Ferrari Enzo? I've seen so many people using it.. but i cant find a setup, so its sat in my garage...
do u use e brake or normal brake on your leg (sorry for my bad english^^)
yes i can drift a bit but it is really annoying because of the strong nonadjustable force feedback but i haven't used it in a long time because i have been playing forza 4 but i plan on selling it and getting a fanatec they are really good and you can put on drift mode which reduces the force feedback and allows for the wheel to move fast, but as much as i know it is that the wheel does not move fast enough ;)

@xXAPPLEGUYXx Lawl. No, the actual letter is said like zed, in some other English country would pronounce it as zed, such as Britain, or Canada, Americans just changed the way of saying it for some reason. (I'm American)
Thanks that really helped a lot I found out you can do it automatic as well
@MrClownyify its a price car. but sometimes its in the used car dealership
You never recognized that oilchange increase power ? Sports oil or standard oil, what could be better ? Oo
Wouldnt it be good to use sports medium because the sport hard make it slide. If you get sports hard use the weight reduction on the body and the windows. And use stage 1, 2 , and 3 on the weight reduction. The weight off the car makes u slide if its to heavy.
Hi What Device did you use to capture?
@MidnightClubGamR when i press a dealership its just turns black and goes back to front page of the game??
what do i do ???
Do you use a steering wheel or controller for drifting
how do you get a video of gt5 on youtube???? do you use screen recorder????
you can only get the dashboard view if the car is a premium car. standards would only get a black silhoute
i need to tune the engine and turbo in the car? becouse i have hks silvia and i tuned to 589hp
Hey can u make a video for how to tune any car fully please thank you.
Is there a difference ( idk since i dont use it) how is it different?
will racing modification help or the opposite ?
in extreme series im at 21lvl and i play only offline idont want to update my ps3 due to multiman purpose 3.55 so what i wanna say is which car i needed to beat all championships in extremeseries
@Muso992 isnt the t supposed to be mostly silent?
I just bought a 1996 nissan 240sx, is that a good car to make a cheap drifter.
@streetpunk83 i hated the s15. i just couldnt set iy up properly. Now i am trying to setup and rx7. it seems much better. i just changed the gear ratios, negative camber on the front wheels and its all good. more downforce on the rear or ballast on reer
it literally took me 7 hours of refreshing to find the 1976 gti on the used car dealer so good luck
What's a good drift car that looks nice on both the outside and inside?
Where did you get the C-west Silvia?
i also have a question can you wheelie tune a muscle car
I advise you to use hard confort tires to have a really good drift time ;)
Well if you haven't you should, it really makes a difference on the loading-screen time =)
i see people have neon bright colored rims. how do i get some ? i hve a fairlady z33
what GTi VW did you want bro? a 76 model?
@HdeadLife It was a Countach. You can win it in one of the A spec races.
SPORTS HARD!?!? I HAVE BEEN LIED TO! this vid taught me heaps even though i am ok at drifting.
is this the regular gran turismo 5? or the prologue?
No. Even when you buy a brand new car you still change the oil. It increases the horse power and pp on any car, some cars get quite a significant hp upgrade.
