At 86 yrs old enjoyed your video. 504 MP battalion can’t shoot my 1911 like I use to, looking for EDC that I can handle. What got my attention was the 30 ft target. Watch a lot of video and no one mention the range in ft. Tks still enjoying the sport
I carry Hornady Critical Defense in mine. Another great video. Thanks.
i really enjoy your videos i just bought the 2.0 havent shot it yet but i really like and will be my carry thanks
Good review, N8. Unfortunately I bought the LCP max and about a month later the bodyguard 2.0 came out. I absolutely hate shooting my LCP max, but can’t really afford to get the bodyguard at this point.
Keep up he videos and remain ungovernable.
I have carried all three iterations of the LCP. They all hurt to shoot. My new BG 2.0 is a departure. No comparison in comfort. S&W has hit it out of the park!
I almost bought the Max after owning an LCP 2 for years, but fortunately, the Bodyguard 2.0 hit the market first. Very happy with it.
..."recycle" (sell) that Max and get the real deal...some sucker will buy yer old Max...
I’m so glad to see this post. I have had a max for a few years, and he’s, I HATE it! I think I’ll buy this and throw the max away. 😂
@@LKaramazov
....I sold one Max today and I sold a LCP II today also...good riddance LCPs...
Good information.👍 This little gun continues to impress me.
Awesome little gun. Every time I shoot a few rounds through it Im amazed.
The freedom munitions hollow point rounds you used are not actually carry loads. If you read on their website, they are for competitive use where hollow points are required. Their x-def rounds are their carry ammo. Great content and keep it up!
Useful information! Thanks!
Interesting video. I had heard of people having hollow point prolems due to the 2 piece feed ramp. I am still getting rounds through mine. I love it so far.
Well done my friend. Loved the review!
Thanks for the test! The 2.0 is going to be my next purchase.
Great breakdown bud. Just subbed to support my fellow guntuber and 2A brotha. Keep them coming
Great video thank you so much. I’m a smaller frame kind a guy and I keep my shield 2.0 in my right pocket., but sometimes I print depending on the pants I am wearing. So and then cases I was looking at this bodyguard 2.0.. like your review I’m seeing good reviews, and believe I’m going to purchase one for them times I need to be extra careful not to print…. again thanks so much for your video. It was very informative.
Get a good pocket holster, Alabama Holster, Vedder Holsters, and Muddy River Tactical, where I bought mine, and it shouldn't print.
Great vid!
Great review man!
I would like to see clothing barrier gel tests with this (not necessarily from you) because I doubt many hollow-points will work in any .380 barrel length that short. I wonder if underwood extreme defenders are made for it. Or I will just use HST like in 9mm. If it works great. If not so what.
I just carry FMJ flat nose in my 380. Don't worry about expansion.
great video
I ran hollow point and flat nose about 25 rounds of each (brands unknown because I had them in a plastic bag), also a box of Critical Defense, a box of Federal Premium Hydra-shok 99gr and a box of round nose. No issues to report I will run some Underwood XD once I’m able to find, so far 3 stores they didn’t sell it, or out of it.
just got one, this gun is super stiff. Maybe it will loosen up over time. Guess I will keep the LCP Max for now.
I just got one - if feels great in-hand and it shoots well. That said, the 12-round mag is very difficult to insert when fully loaded. Did you notice that?
@@Joeslowcostlifestyle-py9ww its stiff for sure
Nice report. Particularly like the accuracy portion. Did you have to adjust sights? Alot of these guns have been delivered with sights shootig left. I had to drift my front to the left to get POI moved to the right.
@@GeorgeMoilanen No didn't adjust sights. Most right-handed shooters that miss will miss left. Very easy to do due to how small and thin this gun is.
Have you tried a Glock 42 or Sig P238??? If so, how does this one compare to those 2???
that is what i am wondering too, i have bad arthritis in my wrists, i have been moving away from 9mm and moving to .380, with the g42 i have noticed at the range that i can hit a shotgun shell at 25 yards with almost boring regularity.
Yes I have. I covered all that in my original video. I would say the g42 shoot close to the new bodyguard but considering the capacity advantage overall I would still give the edge to the bodyguard 2.0.
@n8sguntalk I have the Glock 42 and Sig Sauer P238 and P238HD...and NOTHING shoots smoother than the P238HD but it's also 20+ ounces and all steel

That guns seems to have no recoil watching you shoot it. Is it less felt recoil than the lcp max? I hate the lcp max, I can’t shoot it straight and it hurts to train. Is it worth it to buy this gun if I have the lcp max?
@@LKaramazov a good high thumbs forward grip goes a long way. But it does have less recoil than the lcp max.
I cant even cycle my BG 2.0 with Federal HST, every round hangs up on the bottom of the barrel ramp.
@@dre-o6j I would contact s&w and send it in.
What holster are you using for that bodyguard?
@@jjoven1225 it's a tier 1 concealed holster that I modified.
Check out Alabama Holster.
High thumb grip causes problems...again.
@@warrenrosen132 causes recoil to be deleted 😉
