When I was 13 (1974) my father and I hiked Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico. Coming down the back side of Mt Baldy, we were with a couple other scouts on a gravel road. We were doing kid stuff, like who could throw a rock the farthest, who could whistle the loudest and a single tree branch break came from a few feet inside the tree line. We all stopped as we hadn’t seen a soul since leaving the summit. This happened about every 30 minutes for an hour and a half. Just when we would relax a bit, “Crack”, Would come from our five o’clock position and about the same distance. It was pretty unsettling. Never saw anything though. Don’t know what that was, but seemed very intentional.

Just got back from the Ozarks, I drove up there with my mother and stepfather to record the eclipse.. We passed a couple wildlife signs while riding around scouting for places to watch the eclipse from up near Jasper AR and one of the signs had a bigfoot on it.. As soon as we passed it my mother says, "I'd hate to hit a sasquatch, how in the hell would I explain that to the insurance company?" lol.. We had some good times up there, love it..

Back in the early 1990s while doing military night time exercises back in the forest behind Albert Head on CFB Esquimalt, Vancouver Island, I remember how eerily quiet it would sometimes get at night. Insect noises would stop and even the racoons would go away.

BC has so many sightings - Nass Valley, Vancouver Island, Squamish, Kootneys and north western BC. Not surprising to hear those descriptions about military (and law enforcement too) sightings. I wonder if you were being watched but were busy with your military exercises which might have been interesting to Sasquatch or at least watching as a look-out.

When I was about 5-7 years old, I was alone in the forest, and somewhere 100 meters away I saw a wolf. I started screaming for help, no one heard me. I stood rooted to the spot for over half an hour. After that I don't remember what happened. However, after all, I discover that the terrible wolf was a charred fence post, after a fire that happened probably a decade earlier, because everything else was normal. Nature as nature is the most powerful, and our minds are subject to various "conspiracies". "There is always someone around to threaten us"! Which in reality is only part of our imaginary innate fears.

There are skeptics out there and that's ok. Sometimes things happen that cannot be explained. That's why people are hesitant about talking to other people about their experiences. Some things cannot just be explained away. I've had a few paranormal experiences personally but I'm cautious about telling just anyone! Life is a mystery and I believe what is impossible can be possible. There is so much out there that we aren't aware of. ❤

I have to add this to the comment i already put in here, i was watching one of ur video's , you were in your tent staying overnight, you were showing some of your gear , you had the whistle you carry around your neck sometimes. A lock blade knift. And the pistol you bring , nice one , 357 , large heavy duty gun. And it made my day when you showed it to viewers. Im a firm believer in protecting yourself. But have had a few people give me a hard time , some think no firearms should be allowed on government land, co. State or federal.

I truly enjoyed the story from Miller County Arkansas and I am researching the Historical society to find her grandmothers account of her bigfoot encounter. I just love it when there is historical information to look at. I would love to work at a small town museum with lots of history. Just wanted to say thank you for getting and sharing these stories with us. Years ago my son went with a wonderful girl that grew up in northern Idaho and she remembered as a young 5 or 6 year old playing with her cousins and there was a "monkey" that came and played with them when they were at their grandparents. This was just one summer but it came to play several times and she thinks there was a parent watching from behind trees and bushes out back. I wish I still had contact with her so she could tell you her story.

Thank you Chris and Shelia! I really enjoyed hearing this story. It's a treat to hear any bigfoot story, but especially from such a genuine person. We all wished we had more gentle people like you, Shelia, in the world. I say this because, well, it takes one to know one! My sense is, and I am not being facetious at all, is that this particular bigfoot or bigfoots also sensed your genuine personality and had become "your shadow", because they were drawn your innocent nature. Other stories I've heard where the comminucation between the bigfoot and the person involved, wasn't one of the typical fear and dread, but rather a more peaceful exchange. I believe this is due to the fascination that bigfoots have with more innocent at heart people, or even children. Just a thought. Take care, Hillary

Another amazing post and thank you for relaying your encounters and your family history! And what a large family -- compared to those of us who only had one or two siblings and didn't get to grow up near our grandparents, uncles or cousins etc. Chris, love the stream, waterfalls and mts shots! Really nice that no one stole your tent and fancy stove while you were out hiking! And you blow up your tent? And they actually still let people bury family in family cemeteries? Best, from Colorado!

We lived in Morgan County, next to Miller County, in the 70’s, and we heard it at least 3 times. We also lived in a “holler,” next to a creek, about 15 miles south of Stover. It was night when we heard it. It started as a sound of when a chicken is caught (the sound they make). We had chickens so my first thought was that something got into our chicken house. But it got very loud and intense and then it started screaming a blood curdling scream and at the same time as the scream it was also snarling like a wolf or dog attacking something. Literally sounded like someone being killed. It scared the crap out of us kids. Our mom wasn’t home. My oldest brother was 22, 23, and I was 13 at the time. It never took a breath during all this. It carried on for probably 1/2 a minute or longer. It sounded like it was right outside our house. Horrendously loud! The next night we were telling my sister, who just got home from staying somewhere else, about what we heard and just as we were telling her, we heard it again, same sounds, by our house. Another time, my little sister and I had stopped at a gooseberry bush to get gooseberries to take home and eat with salt. My brothers had walked on home from the school bus stop at the county road. The lane home was about 1/2 mile. Anyway, as we were at the bush, it screamed and snarled again (without the chicken sound) and it sounded like it was at this barn we had to walk by to get home. We hid under the bush for about 30 minutes, then walked home. I told my sister to not run because our mom always said don’t run from predators. That was around the same time period as the other experiences at the house. It was 1976. After those experiences we didn’t hear it anymore. I believe Sheila. Also, my family is from Iberia and we might be related. That would be Whittle’s and Keeth’s.

My sister and I did go to visit the old home place in the holler, one day, about 20 years ago and we heard a tree fall up that holler, then another soon after much closer, then another, then another really close to us within about 1 minute time, and we left there. We didn’t run. Haha. I’ve never been back. We had to walk to get in there, so we had to also hike back out.

Great episode and wonderful watching you set up your camp, cook your burger, and walk along that beautiful creek. I have about five favorite channels on UA-cam (too much junk on UA-cam) but yours is at the top of my short list. Chris, I am three weeks out from triple bypass cardiac surgery and watching your videos and those few other channels I like has seen me through a bunch of long nights of post surgery pain. Your channel brings me back to my youth living on our family farm in southwestern Pennsylvania. My life has taken me from there to 15 years I spent as a Norwegian Jaegerkommandoen Marine where I was wounded in combat in Central Europe during the Serbian war. I have lived in London, in Oslo, Norway, Rio de Janiero among other places but watching your channel always brings me back to my boyhood and youth on our now long lost farm. Thank you Chris for what you do. I will continue to tune in.

About 1956-58 I was about 4 or 5 yrs old, my father was a lumber jack so we were staying in a loggoing camp way up north in British Columbia canada, anyway I was sleeping on a cot under a big window it was late at night and I was awakened by a noise b
At the window I looked up and saw a very large human like face looking in, the moon was shining on it so it looked kind of white anyway I was so scared , I wanted to scream but I was scared of waking my brutish father so I choose to move as close to the window wall as I could on my side so it couldn't see me, I layed awake f until morning told my mom there was a big face looking in the window in the night, she just said well when you play outside today stay out of the woods

She mentioned that the horse's must have sensed something and took off. In my encounter, the horse's had no response at all. One was actually asleep on my shoulder a couple of minutes before I saw it. I always wondered why the horse's didn't react, because they don't miss much, then it occurred to me that maybe they were used to it.

When i had my encounter in 2013 i was sitting by my fire ring in my yard with a fire burning in my yard. He came up on the other side of my fire ring so we were like 12 feet apart. He was over 10 feet tall and like close to 4 and a half or 5 feet wide. I had my cellphone in my hand listening to music with my earbuds in and i never thought of even trying to get a pic or video. As a matter of fact at some point i dropped my cell so i was in my house for 3 days without a way to even call anyone. I thought of it as a Mountain Monster. Bigfoot or Sasquatch never came to my mind, atleast ot til 2020 when i started watching videos and hearing the calls and wood knocks. I dont know what to believe anymore. I especially dont trust the people in charge anymore, why are we not being warned about these things?

My parents took us to the Ozarks for a couple vacations, and even though our house in the suburbs backed up to lots of woods & farmland, the Ozark area always spooked me.
