I knew you'd sneak in some 3d printing at the end!

Wow, a few years ago I purchased a 100 watt CO2 laser and hated dealing with the mirrors. This looks like a great choice!

Diode and co2 different technologies for a reason.

I worked in a shop with a 2kw CO2 3D laser with a 48"×96" bed. 5 axis plus a rotary axis mounted at the end of the bed with a 3 and 4 jaw chuck.
You need to adjust the focal point further into the material. It should be close to the middle if the material.

I stumbled upon this page whilst deciding which 3D printer to purchase last month. I opted for the Bambu Labs P1S and your unboxing video certainly helped me decide. Great work! 🇬🇧

Thx for sharing. How's the P1S treating you? At this point I have the X1C, the P1S, the A1, and the A1 mini and honestly the P1S is my favorite. Such a reliable workhorse with the AMS and filament runout switching.

I bought a P1S a month ago, my wife took it over and it is now a Halloween decoration machine. A week after buying that one, I bought another. And now this weekend I am clearing out a bedroom for the 4 new units coming. 3D printing for the masses has arrived.

I have watched a few reviews on this machine, one changed the air assist pump for a line from his compressor, what a difference in the burnt part of the cut, it was much cleaner too when going slower.

The enclosure on this is really good but it is important to keep in mind that for $60 you can get an enclosure that will work with basically any machine. Obviously it's not as fancy as this but it does achieve largely the same purpose.

Is it worth lining the scrap collection tray with a non-reflective liner (probably metal) to prevent it from being marked?

Never mind the laser, that’s one really nice Toyota I got a glimpse of. Very jealous….

Should do a pull force test on that bracket; basically a glue-lam beam.

Judging by how big the head is - guessing that it's got (maybe) 3 of the other modules, rammed through a beam combiner?

I think there's 12 separate diodes in there. I'm tempted to open it, but I'm assuming it's dust sealed (glued shut?) and I'm having too much fun using it :)

Thanks for showing the assembly process. No offense, but I am interested in these, but seeing comments with bad reports about customer service, and since so many reviewers (like you) received free units, it is hard to know who I can trust. Not criticizing anybody, that is just how it plays out.

I really enjoy your channel, but have a silly question. This YT video title screen and at least one other have spelling errors in the screen text. Was this intentional?
For example, this video has the word “thicc” which I assume was supposed to be “thick”? Thanks!

    • @3dPrintingMillennial
      @3dPrintingMillennial 5 місяців тому +1

It's slang. It's actually supposed to be three C's as in thiccc

Nice work. FYI Lightburn has a feature that allows you to align the two sides of the work. (Laser Tool menu and then the Print & Cut option). I have seen videos where this is used to engrave both sides and keep them aligned ... but it could also be used to cut from both sides ... I reckon it could to that 200mm hardwood ply in 1 pass per side with way less charring. Probably need the aligning laser crosshair mod. ua-cam.com/video/Ft7RlVh4Kjc/v-deo.htmlsi=qpRpRK8iswwCfHdT I think the 60W is the limit in power for diode lasers without focusing optics.

LOL... One 2x4, hand saw, 30 minutes. A somewhat over engineered solution. Yeah, I know, you had to some up with some way to use the machine. Did a good job showcasing the laser cutter.
