This is very good that there will be multiple options out there and many thanks are due to those who put the work into this. However for those thinking that they will eventually have a kit with somewhat easier to install flex pcbs like the hwfly at less than half the price that is not likely to happen. PCB on flex is fairly expensive to get manufactured so any sort of kit is likely to be priced about the same as the hwfly. That being said as long as you don't mind soldering small mod wires this will save you a lot money
Yeah we won't get that, if they made custom ribbon cables that would probably bring the price way up to a similar level to the hwfly, maybe in a couple years there will be a software exploits. We are lucky to be able to get the CPU ribbon cable lol
Hello where i cant find the materials. Already have cables and the pico fly. I need the other stuff, resistor, hot soldering gun, i have the regular one, the flex cable. Also one question in other videos already see that put on the cables resina for avoid accidental move. Also another install magnetic button to reset the picofly. Very helpful your help. Also i want to buy a good microscope for electronics. Where i cant find one. I have one but sometimes freeze.
Hello! Has a diagram come out with the installation points but of the RP2040 Pi pico? (the version of rp2040 a little bigger than the zero) some points have different names in relation to the zero and I don't want to mess it up. Or could you make a video with the installation of this other version of rp2040? thank you
@@prmzngph I would also be interested in those mods, since it costs less time and money to get the flex v1 than the v2. Thanks in advance for the help, or the new video for that.
@@Fix_8080 it's true right now installation of hwfly is easier but one also shall remember this is new to the scene and is in developing stage after some time this gonna be stable believe me I get feeling it will be game changer for millions of patched switches out there ..the hwfly right now is around 100 dollars in 2020 it was sold for even 200 dollars but now with arrival of this chip it's price also will fall ..under 8 dollar price is gamechanger compared to hwfly 100 dollars

I've already destroyed 2 switches out of four. Exactly what you were saying about wire pulling pads. I learned my lesson and ordered 40 AWG Enameled wire. What wires are you using in your video ? Thanks ! 😊
What thermal paste are you using? Just curious, I have plans on paying you to mod my lite; but I'm a bit picky on thermal pastes. Can I just give you a thermal paste that I want for you to repaste my switch when installing a mod chip?

You’re using to open the heat shield , I always have trouble with it .
hello, the black flat flax and the chip, where can you buy them and, at what price? hello great job! 👍🏻
Best video of the month ! ;)
hello friend. can you aswer me what size of the copper wire you was using in this video and the value of the resistor? thank in advance
Not sure about the wire but it's a 450ohm resistor. Wire shouldn't matter that much
Hey is there a big difference between the 2? Since I’m not afraid of a little extra work will the pico fly be more useful? What do you think?

You can't use the RP2040. The only ones you can really use are the RP2040-1 and the RP2040-Zero
does it not matter if the copper wires are touching?
Also what kind are they?
they are enamel coated wires.
Got a Cyan led, then green then booting to OFW, any tips ? thanks

Hi pro i cant find 470 resistor can work without it?
no. you will fry that emmc and kill your switch. you can use up to 100hm
where i buy the chip??
Please, tell me how i should insulate my PICO
kapton should be sufficient to insulate possible sources of a short on the chipy, wrap it like a burrito and leave only the contact pads bare
Is there any software or firmware installation process before preparing it to solder on the console?
Please, whats the diameter of the wires used?
36awg
why are you not scared from the wires if they short?
or are they coated or something?
they are coated
