This song made me remember him a bit and nearly made me tear up listening to this. And seeing the thumbnail of LOTR Frodo and friends holding cups in cheers made me think of him even more since he got me into lord of the rings lol. The singer didn’t pronounce most of the Scots correctly. Plus Auld Lang Syne isn’t even written in pure Scots. Burns rarely did, he usually wrote in a mixture of Scots and standard English. It is very similar to English, as they are closely related languages. But they are different. And it isn’t slang.

Most of the words actually come from Old and Middle English such as words like Auld, Twa, Ye, Lang, Frae. How can you be this Ignorant! Don't you know anything about old and middle English?!
