Hi J&J! I've been busy this summer, it's nice to catch up with the channel. About to binge some episodes! Hope all is well and I look forward to seeing the addition! Cheers! 🍻
Progress progress progress! Amplified by the fact that you’re milling the lumber at the bottom and hauling it up bit by bit. I doubt a lot of people realize the time and effort all that takes. Your initiative is admirable!
Your sawmill looks like a really nice machine! I bet it saves you some money compared to buying lumber from the lumberyard! I am looking forward to seeing how you do the bedroom build!
There's no hope … I'll be here Friday waiting for you! I'm so excited to see the beginning of the addition!! Love ❤️ ❤️❤️ you both for keeping me entertained and happy/hopeful!!
Hi guys everything is looking and coming along GREAT. Wish i were there in the woods. I love the smell of wood being cut. BLESSINGS from Puerto Rico. 👁👁U🤩😍🍺🍺
So Happy to see you guys!😀 I am glad the mill is set up and level! I know you both work really hard. What a great team you guys have made from the very first video you have all captured my heart (and the pups)! I think your bird houses are beautiful Jen! Everything looks so Peaceful! I had 3 LABS with my deceased husband. I had 2 yellow and 1 chocolate. Miss them so.. much. I have a cat now… go figure. I think animals are angels from God! 🙏🏻🙏🏻Blessings, Laura
My friend.....they Massey is a beast. The camera doesn't do it justice. I want to get the old Ford tractor running and I will put them next to each other and compare. 😊
Hooray, that is awesome that you can make your own lumber. Saves you a ton of money. Do you have to dry the lumber before building with it? Have the trees been down for awhile?
Oh Rebecca it is so awesome.....I don't say that to sound vane but we are very happy with how things turned out. Anything from here is just a added bonus and for added comfort and storage space. The last year we have been using the pull out sleeper sofa in the main living area so it has worked fine but having a primary sleeping bedroom with dressers for clothing and such will make things that much more amazing. Building is not easy or my expertise but we are very proud of our little cabin and property.
Love to see that you both have now a precise weapon for your woodwork! So you can now also cut your bacon direct with the mill :-). PS: Hope that youll not have any twisting with the beams when u use it!
Nice to have heavily wooded property and that mill, hardwood beams for the bedroom addition. How far is the river from your property? Another great video at the off grid cabin, thanks guys.
Yes very fortunate to have an abundance of trees. The river is about 3/4 of a mile from the cabin. The place we use to. Fill the tanks is on public land.
Already in place. Video coming Friday. Trees have been seasoning for two plus years so I'm thinking I'm good to go. Think the only issue when building with green wood is moisture and if it is used for inside framing
Really enjoy your videos! Living in the South all my life where we have snakes, alligators and mosquitoes that will carry you off. I was just wondering since you guys have such cold winter’s do you not have snakes?
Zephaniah 3:16-17 King James Version 16 In that day it shall be said to Jerusalem, Fear thou not: and to Zion, Let not thine hands be slack. 17 The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.
Lol, I hope you are joking CP.....the title says bedroom addition beams made using the frontier sawmill, or in other words....we make the beams for the bedroom addition. Get it?

I am Jelly over your saw mill. I am currently dropping 20 + over grown Alder trees on our property and currently using a Alaska Chainsaw mill.
Oh buddy.....I milled one poplar log with a small Alaskan mill and that was it for me. Night and day
There's no hope … I'll be here Friday waiting for you! I'm so excited to see the beginning of the addition!! Love ❤️ ❤️❤️ you both for keeping me entertained and happy/hopeful!!

Oh you are right about the wood smell. My dad use to split wood for the fireplace when we were kids.....such a great smell
Really lovely video guy 💚💚💚🙏🏼🏡
Thanks Naresh....😊
Nothing more satisfying than milling your own lumber, especially with the prices these days.
So Happy to see you guys!😀 I am glad the mill is set up and level! I know you both work really hard. What a great team you guys have made from the very first video you have all captured my heart (and the pups)! I think your bird houses are beautiful Jen! Everything looks so Peaceful!

Awe so happy you found us and are here too Laura. Completely agree with you about animals being angels....such personalities and so much love.
For that your sawmill stays level the best is to have a level Cement slab. This way it stays level for all your cuts
That would be nice, but this will have to do. No cement trucks getting back here, and this guy is happy with his new platform
Nice work sir. Regads from sweden
Thank you BS....appreciate the support
Those pups 🐶 lol
So happy right? 😊
Thank you all for shating
Thank you for watching 😁
Daily uploads? my day is complete.
I'm trying to shake things up a bit....hope you are enjoying the show lol ha
Looks like youre using new lenses, the Massey looks bigger than before :-)
My friend.....they Massey is a beast. The camera doesn't do it justice. I want to get the old Ford tractor running and I will put them next to each other and compare. 😊
Jay, you looked so enthused to take the dogs for an extra walk when you were filling the water tote, 😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣
Ha......I want my extras to involve a chair and my butt, lol. Water time is normal my 30 minutes to sit in the truck and fiddle 😊 lol
Can't wait for the build...will you be building the room first or the deck? What will you use the loft for Storage?
We are doing the bedroom first......covered decks shortly after. Loft will be guest sleeping and probably mostly storage. 😊
Hooray, that is awesome that you can make your own lumber. Saves you a ton of money. Do you have to dry the lumber before building with it? Have the trees been down for awhile?
Yes the trees were cut down 2 plus year ago, so they should be somewhat seasoned.
since the main cabin is livable does it give you a sense of accomplishment
i know that how i would feel

I hope so too. These oak logs have been down and aging for 2 or 3 years so hoping that helps
