OMG, all of my favorite tropical Fruit Tree Farmers in one place! Wishing I was a fly on the ceiling (since no walls), listening to this conversation! Tom, I have yet to try the Durian! Hope I will do better!
@@SleepyLizard That get together must have been really awesome! I am sure you have plenty of tales to impart when we meet again. Who was the tall guy with the hoodie and the oriental guy? Don’t recognize either one of them.
@@dmatcardoug2986 Let's see, it was me, Julian, Paul, Bobby, and Alex who I'm pretty sure you recognize. The two new faces would be John and Kimo. Also tropical fruit enthusiasts like us. Kimo and his family love longans and I let them pilfer Joy's stash in my front yard this past summer. 🤣
This is great that you all got together. Hilarious! I love the campiness of the video. BTW, I love Durian too. Sometimes when I'm lucky I get one for my birthday. Had it fresh a couple times, amazing. Mostly get it frozen, which is not near as good, but still okay. Like all fruit, some are better than others. Wish we could grow some in Florida.
Hai guys... Greetings from Malaysia... Now is durian seasons here in Malaysia... You all should fly here to taste the fresh from farm durian... Definitely different from the export frozen one....
Come to Malaysia its durian season now.. musang king, black thorn n so many varieties available. One trick to reduce the body heat after eating lots of durian is to put watervin the pod n drink from it. Or drink fresh coconut water or eat mangosteen. To reduce the smell from our fingers, pour water on the pod n wash our fingers. Pls pls drink alcohol n durian. Or carbonated drink. Really. We malaysians used tonhear people becoming dizzy n passing out after mixing durian with alcohol. Good luck. To reduce the smell in our car, put the stem in the car.
It was big difference between the fresh & frozen just like any other fruit 😢all my friends first time had these fruit they all said none of your compares, all taste are good & vanilla bananas creamy goodness!😋yum
Well looks like he won’t be starting a durian farm any time soon 😂!! I recall trying my first durian in Flushing Queens - fresh durian blended into a boba 🧋 I was instantly addicted. Went back and bought the whole fruit (damn expensive!)
"Take me to the hot dog, take me to the hot dog" 😂😂😂 bro you are hilarious, that analogy is PRIME and seems very accurate too lolol. How are there no other comments here yet??? I love Durian but have minimal experience as I haven't really left California for years, and have never been to Asia, etc... so frozen, vacuum sealed fruits are most of what I've gotten. I have a pack of that "lucky Taro" brand they've been carrying at Costco, in my freezer tonight, and I think it is time to open it 😋 Nice way to feed after a little healing rendezvous with the divine 🍄 also have these little "banh pia" durian mung-bean pastries we got from the store too, and they are delicious, but of course have more refined sugar, and not something I'm trying to have very much of, especially lately. Okay, now I gotta go start the video over, since I've been down here in the comment section 😂God bless you and your gardens, forever and ever brother! 💖💛💚💙 P.S. I have long wondered, how much coconut husk fiber can be produced from a single tree, and basically, how much "coconut Coir" we can get gowing as individual organic gardeners, to generate/amass the wonderful fiber for our ecological endeavors, at home, or in relatively modest plots of land, etc... Any thoughts on this? EDIT: P.S.2 I forgot to mention peanut butter, as I am obsessed and always have been. Do you like nut butters and have you tried pairing durian with some? [Awesome/simple PB better than anything in a store: roast raw peanuts in oven, around 300*F convection for an hour or less, then just grind in food processor with salt and sesame seed oil]
When the durian is open it definitely is very ripe and has a strong taste .I only eat my durian when it's about 90 percent ripe .then again I grow it so I'm able to eat it when it's perfect . Enjoy guys
My first experience with durian was pleasant. I compare it to a guacamole (california avocado) that is heavy in onion and garlic, plus sugar. The aroma was that similar when you put icecream in the freezer too long and it gets that freezer burn and picks up the aroma of everthing else in the freezer.
Was that a sweet tasting durian without bitter taste? For a first timer, it is recommended to eat the sweetest durian variety, so that they can keep coming back for more..😁 I love that fruit! The king of fruit in South East Asia!
I have an ackee tree in my backyard that my dogs are digging at the roots. I need it gone as soon as possible. Let me know if you or anybody you know are interested in a free tree. They just need to help me dig it out of the ground. I’m in sunrise Florida.
Growing up eating Dorian , this not everyone knows after eating you wash your hand on the empty pods and the smell of your hand will disappear! Know you know !
Does it taste like roasted garlic? I thought jackfruit was sweet. Durian does no sound like something I would like to try, fruit is supposed to be sweet , savory fruit is not fruit it's tree veggies.
This is like the Marvel Avengers of tropical fruit youtubers haha
I haven't laughed this much in a while. You guys are the best!!
Thanks Paul ,I had so much fun watching this video 😀😀😀
I can tell you had a lot of fun with this one including editing Paul. Great video very entertaining thanks

I can see that I'm not the only one Paul has introduced to durian. 😆
do you eat it regularly now? I don't know if I can bring myself to try it again.
@@SleepyLizard I live far away from the Asian markets and it's pricey here in Texas... so it's a rare occasional treat.

Tom can u asked to your friends how about superhass
paul durian can grow in FL. same as avocado tree. it's need dry root zone (busut: bahasa word).
Try Durian with Halal Sweet Fermented Rice (Tapai Pulut)...
Paul should try to plant durian.
all stars!!
Hilarious! 😂
I'll have to try durian, sounds like a stronger smell than stinky toe fruit. We love ripe breadfruit, makes great pancakes
Imo, they taste like a cross between a mango and caramelized onions.
Try candy Dorian first when you get the hang of it then you can try the fresh fruit
😊
What variety of durian?
Musang King
One of the best durian to pop the cherry 😂😂
too funny
Weccan even eat the cempedak seeds. Boil it .

Durian have many categories or ratings. Black Thorn and Musang King Durian is the best.

No alcohol when eating durian bro!! It can harm your health !
Word of advice to durian first timers: Don't try trash durian for your first.
😂
Paul likes to bring negativeenergy
It's not good ate durian and drinks any carbonate drinks😅😅
I’ve never seen a more attention grabbing name to a video 😂
i hate that fruit 🤢🤮
i hate people talking over each other
